What is your name?
Robin Sturm
What is your age and grade?
21 and I am a College Masters
What is your motivation to lead a club within the school? (250+ words)
My motivation has been driven by a lot of things, one of the many ones being creative freedom. Sadly, this is something that I have been lacking in the last few months and it has dwindled my ability to thrive in my given environment in the jock community. I want to thrive outside of the sports scene, and try something different and challenging. When coming up with ideas, I came across an old club back from my home town that was exceptionally popular with the student body. Knowing some of the students at the school, this club idea could easily be a love / hate relationship type deal, but it is what drives my motivation to put the idea out there.
I do not believe the school, either high school or college, has had a club like this, and it drives my motivation to bring something new even more. Spending nights of my time, thinking up ideas that I could present, going across the multiple things that I would need to set up prior to writing this, we ignore what time I am writing this, the more I work on this, makes me more excited to present this just a bit more. I wish for people to fall in love with this idea as much as I did when I came across it. Along with the club idea’s perks, it would easily be able to combine with other clubs in order to host co-events. I look forward to seeing where this goes, and fingers crossed my motivation doesn’t fail me just yet.
Why choose you over other candidates applying for this position? (50+ words)
From what I have seen, there are a lot of more ‘common clubs’ that you would see at multiple schools, a few examples being book, music, P.A., Journalism, cooking, and gardening. You of course have the more rare clubs, architecture, occult, astrology, and gaming. With the idea I am presenting, I would fit under the rare club ideas, as I am attempting to bring something new to the school and student body.

Answer these questions how you see reasonable, get creative so long as it gets the point across and is clear to read.
What is the official title of your club?
Odyssey of the Mind Club, or simply just Odyssey Club.
Provide a small summary of your club (75 words)
Odyssey of the Mind is something that allows students to become problem solvers, using their minds to face many different problems to come out with multiple solutions. While the club sounds more for students with gifted talents, it is actually for all grades. You could be a grade - 7 and join the club, as for my hometown, that club was available for Kindergardeners all the way up to college students. It would be a club for puzzles, challenges, and tricks for everyone. Including the staff.
Please gather five student members for your club and list their character names and usernames

Do you have a student councillor to supervise and assist your club? If yes, please provide their character name and username
You may ask any councillor that is not already a supervisor, if you can not find one, one will be provided to you upon acceptance.
Any councillor is fine, I do not have one pre-determined.
Will there be any requirements of future members to join your club?
I want to make up a list of riddles, some more simple, others more challenging. When the time comes, I want to host open interviews for the club and invite the student body to apply. With that, I would give each student a riddle and question. This answer will determine their acceptance status, as I will not be going off if they are correct, and more so how well they seemed to use their head.
Provide one school-wide event that your club may host
This would be a map wide event, taking place through out the town where multiple groups can be involved. Starting location would be at the front of school where 3 tents would be located. Each tent, would be a different team with a different set of riddles, these riddles would lead them onto the first check point in the treasure hunt. Once reaching the first check point, they would solve another riddle to reach the 2nd, and then lastly the finish line. There will be different checkpoints for each team, however the start and finish will be the same for EVERYONE. Each group would have different riddles and team leaders, 2 - 3 people max. These leaders, would need to make sure they have ALL 3 riddle books to make it to the end, where their team can claim their final prize. Without these 3 riddles, their team cannot claim their prize.
Provide one flash event that your club may host
The club would host a generic tea party, one full of snacks and an arrangement of teas or drinks for the student body to come and participate. While this does seem like a normal tea party, there would be one small change about it. Instead of small talk, the guests would be given puzzle books! These would range from Sudoku, to cross words, logic puzzles, and even word searches. This idea is to give students a relaxing down time that they might not often get to enjoy, setting up an area that would have tables, bean bags, and blankets that they might relax upon in order to enjoy themselves and use their head.
Provide one club activity that your club might host
I would create a challenge for my club members, I would have a list of puzzles and challenges and the first ones to complete the FULL LIST by the end of the month would get Top Club member of the month. This list would include at least 10 puzzles, with different ranges of difficulty, and to stop people from doing them all in one day, they would be given a limit to 2 a day to complete.
