Describe your activity on the server:
I typically get on in the evenings during weekdays as I work full-time. On my days off, I tend to spend much longer online, quite a few hours even. I’ve been pretty consistent in my activity levels over the past few years. I’ve been playing on the server, and I don't see an end to that commitment anytime soon! With my full-time schedule, I'm normally on after 6 PM EST. Days off vary but I often will get a Sunday off. Saturdays are rare but can happen. Or I typically get a Tuesday off.

What is the student council and what do they do?:
Having been a part of the school faculty for some time now, I’ve grown to appreciate all that the student council does. They’re a lower-level authority within the school (though saying they are ‘low-level’ feels like a disservice to them), but they share the main responsibility for keeping the peace. They prioritize patrolling the halls to ensure the safety and well-being of every student. They are like the frontline of defense, often the first to notice a situation, and are expected to de-escalate and resolve the issue. Whether that is by handing out punishments or finding a solution that resolves the situation quickly and calmly. Additionally, they add to the whimsy of everyday school life by hosting various fun-filled events for students to enjoy!
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
I joined the server back in 2020, so it’s been just about six years since I became enthralled with the server. I’ve made some of the best friends I’ve known through playing on here. One thing they know for certain about me is that I’m much too nervous a person to really put myself out there. It took me until the end of last year to work up the nerve to apply for a faction, but with my friend's motivation, it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made so far.
I love the community dearly, and to be a working part of it has felt so special. Joining the student council is something I’d been contemplating for a long, long, long while. I enjoy the idea of interacting with like-minded people, aiding in school affairs, forming bonds and planning school events. I just know it will be fun! If I’ve learned anything from applying to a faction, I can do it. And it can be great. So, worries aside, I’m listening to my friends and giving it a shot.
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Absolutely! If there's anything I have, it’s creativity, call it my winning trait and those leadership-teamwork courses I took have to come in handy somehow. Why not on a block game student council?
Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
President
The top dog! The one at the top of the counillor food chain. An elite position for those who earn it. The president takes charge and ensures the rest of the members are active, participating members who contribute to the daily task of keeping the school safe and to council-run events. Speaking of events, they hold the final deciding factor of what events go on!
Vice-President
When things get rough, it's always nice to have a second pair of hands and another mind to bounce ideas off of. They’re the second in command. They bear a similar level of responsibility and have a say in some decision-making. Should the President not be available, they're the one you go to with big questions and problems.
Councilor
Your typical, crime-stopping, loveable block heroes. They are out there every day digging in the metaphorical mud. They represent the majority of the council body, and while they don't hold the top spot, they are expected to act in ways befitting of a councillor. Show kindness and compassion, solve problems in the then and now. You’ve got to have the ability to think on the fly and keep up with all the chaos. Because there is.. A lot.. Of chaos.

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
“Escalating the situation publicly would likely worsen the disruption.” She began, “To start, I would position myself closer to the student calmly and quietly. Close enough to hopefully discourage any further outbursts while avoiding an outright scene.”
“If the disruption continued even after, my next course of action would be to calmly invite the student outside the assembly area so that we may have a chance to speak privately. Should they agree, I would firmly but respectfully address the behavior they had displayed to see if there was an underlying issue or cause.” As she spoke, the woman paced with a subtle calm. Steady and certain with each word.
“If the student in question refused or escalated to becoming aggressive, I would seek help and request the support of another council member or faculty. The main priority of course, is to return order as quickly as possible, keeping the distraction to a minimum, all while maintaining the dignity of the student involved.”
A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
“One might think to pursue the individual; however, unless there was immediate danger, I would not follow in pursuit. Instead, I would focus on student safety, notifying faculty or other council members of the situation.”
“When the student is located, perhaps even called to the front desk if the situation calls for it, it would be best to approach calmly so they do not feel as though they are backed into a corner and feel the instinct to flee yet again. The proper punishment for the situation would be handed out.”
A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
“Any threatening behavior should be taken seriously, even if it was meant to be played off as a joke. To start, I’d need information. Speaking with the teacher or professor involved will help me grasp the details of the incident so we may better assess the next steps. What was said, how often such behavior occurs, previous concerns, and how other students had reacted. All this information will be important to know before proceeding with any form of punishment.”
“Depending on severity, detention may be considered, especially if the student had been asked to stop and had been warned of such a consequence should they continue. Additionally, it may be beneficial for the behavior of the student to be brought to the attention of a guidance counsellor.”
A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
“Yes, of course, I would allow students to protest peacefully so long as it follows the school's rules and policies and does not threaten the safety of other students or disrupt others' learning. Students have the right to express themselves, and as pseudo-leaders, we should allow them the space to voice their concerns.”
“Precautions will be taken to ensure the protest remains safe. I would work with the available faculty members and the protest organizers beforehand to establish what to expect. Things such as: where it will occur, what time is most acceptable, supervision, rules against harassment, violence, etc. I would also ensure faculty presence at the event to help de-escalate any unruly conflicts that may arise.”
A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
“Should such a situation occur, I would respond respectfully and professionally. There's no need to be argumentative or grow defensive over different ways of handling things. Instead, I may respond with something along the lines of, ‘My apologies, I was trained to handle a situation like this differently, but I would like to make sure I’m following proper procedure. Are there any tips you may provide me with so I may better my response for next time?’. Even in the event of a disagreement, professionalism and respect should remain a priority.”
Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
“I would like to suggest an elegant school-wide event called,
“The Velvet Rose Tea Gala”
Instead of the typical dance or casual get-together, this event would focus on creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere. It would give students a chance to enjoy a more refined setting for one glamorous evening.”
A grand tea party inspired by vintage royal garden parties and modern luxury cafes. Students would be invited to wear their best outfits, such as gowns, gloves, jewelry, suits, and polished shoes. Making the event accessible and inclusive is very important. To help with this, the council could potentially enlist the aid of a few tailors to craft three sets of formal wear in various colours and styles for students to borrow for the evening's events. A total of three basic dresses and three basic suits. This way, everyone can join in comfort, no matter their financial situation.
The venue would be completely transformed. Tables would have beautiful flower arrangements, candles or gentle lighting, lace table runners and porcelain-style tea sets. Soft instrumental music would play in the background. Instead of loud music and crowded dancing, the focus would be on conversation, relaxation and elegance. Students would feel like they had entered a different world for the night.
A highlight of the event would be the cafe-style service. Staff and volunteers would serve tea, coffee, specialty drinks, pastries, cakes and other fancy desserts. The food would be presented like a high-end afternoon tea. After being served, students are free to walk around the venue, visit other tables, or lounge areas and socialize as they please.
To make the event more interactive, there could be activities like:
~ A vote for titles such as: Most Elegant, Most Creative Attire, Social Butterfly, Tea Royalty
~ A live performance: String quartet or piano, by students
~Decorative photo spots with floral arches and vintage furniture
~ Compliment notes available for students to write kind words about friends or complete strangers for them to give out freely!
My hope is that this event stands out from a typical school dance or pep rally we’ve grown used to. It brings together sophistication, creativity, and inclusivity and lets students express themselves through fashion in a friendly setting. The event would be memorable to look at and offer students a calm, elegant social experience.

Name:
“My name..” The woman before you sat straight, poised. Emitting a regal aura as she answered. “Lady von Altenberg. Yvonne.”
Gender:
With a gloved hand placed delicately against her chest, “I am a lady, most definitely.”
Age:
“The gentle age of twenty.” And what a beautiful age that was, as far as she was concerned.
Phone number:
A moment passed as the woman rustled through her clutch, pulling a black card from its depths. Embossed with glittering gold, her name and phone number were printed across the matte background. ‘(030)-467-3074’ “My card.”
How would you describe your personality?:
“I’m aware there are certain stereotypes someone of my status could play into- rude, obnoxious, overly entitled and spoiled..” A sigh escaped her. “When I first arrived on this island, I'm sure I could have fallen under a few of those categories, but I’ve experienced kindness from so many. I’ve learned from my mistakes and have grown. I try to be understanding and compassionate. To be.. Capable of change.”
Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):
What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
While her hands were free for a moment, the woman would reach out to the water set before her, taking a quick sip before continuing. “I believe you handle some of the planning for certain events. It is worth noting that my family holds certain values- some archaic, yes, though in this case I am almost certain the lessons I have endured shall be to your benefit.” Her tone was pompous, nor crass- it was as if she were simply stating a fact as true as the sky is blue and the grass is green. “I’ve planned and hosted several sororities and social events.” Placing a hand to her chest as small smile crossed her lips. “If there is anything I am great at, it is event planning.”
Why do you want this position?:
“I’ve.. recently lost something.” The woman answered, a quiet in her tone. “Something to busy my days will be good for me.” A simple answer, letting the words flow smoothly and without hesitation. Crossing her legs, though only at the ankles while her hands remained gloved, resting delicately in her lap. “I have this hope, perhaps you may call it a dream if one was so bold, that a sense of duty will remind me of my purpose.” A faint exhale followed her words.
What interests you the most about student council?:
“Structure.” A single word, the deep brown hues of her eyes swirled like the depths of black coffee. “This position has that, yes? Rules, a system and protocols you follow to ensure the day runs smoothly.” Her palms unfolded, pressed flat against the fabric of her dress, pressing out any wrinkles. “It’s something I’ve grown accustomed to, something i will have no difficulty following, so my interest lies in knowing I can be of aid.”
What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
“By being approachable, calm and consistent when handling situations. Thus, ensuring that students may feel comfortable reporting concerns without fear of being dismissed. A large part of that would be to focus on listening and responding fairly.” A curt nod followed her words; there was no doubt in her mind that she could accomplish such. “Overall, my goal is to build a respectful environment where the student body feels safe, heard and involved so that they may continue to enjoy fun filled days.”
