As of right now, I am fairly sparse with my activity, I log on whenever I feel like it and have time, yet I have found that it is a lot more often as of recently due to me being out of school. I miss SRP and I hope to be apart of something to get my activity back up, as of late.

My want to return back to SRP with something familiar. I wish to be apart of a faction that I truely enjoyed and know I will spend my time working with and trying to help. I wish I had more to add, but in reality, I don’t. I simply wish to return to a faction that felt familiar.
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
I know a decent amount as I’ve been in this faction before and was able to learn a decent amount about the religion. I'm free to learn more as I'm sure there have been updates in the training and what is being taught.

How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?
Yuihimegami can come off rather rude at times, she’s overly serious to a fault. She doesn’t understand jokes, and doesn’t take disrespect very well. Yet, Yui can be a rather friendly figure when faced with people who are interested in her religion and culture as a Maiden, including met with people who have the same drive as her to teach people of such something she worships. She is kind until her kindness gets proven to not be helpful, then she can be shown to be rather rude and shallow.
You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?
Yuihimegami would be stern, she’s not going to beat around the bush when somebody is being disrespectful, she doesn’t work off the three strikes and your out system, as soon as you’re being disrespectful, you get one warning and your out.
Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
She doesn’t know what she’s going to do with the rest of her life, so instead of putting it into the Kami’s hands; she is taking hold of her own life and trying to do something she genuinely enjoyed. She wishes to return back to what she once knows and called home without actually having to return to mainland Japan, and instead where she now calls home instead.

Sincerity.
She believes this fully, it’s better to be sincere then lie. She’d rather be told she’s hated then be lied to, if she was ever told she was lied to? That person would never be spoken to again. She’d rather be told the truth even if it hurts.
Duty.
Everybody has a life duty, and duty should come before desire. Yuihimegami believes that feelings are temporary but what must be done, must be done. You can handle feelings later as long as you are doing whats right and whats needed. Has this led to many moments of mental breakdowns for her? Yes, but she always believes it fully.

Backstory
A little girl was born on a cold August night, the air heavy in the room she was born in; a storm thundering loudly outside.. With the sound of a brief newborn wailing, who knew this would be her entrance? Once the nurse handed Asuka her daughter, she knew the name she would give the black-haired girl, cradling in her arms as she shoo’d her into a sweet lullaby of her first child. Yuihimegami Kazehaya was this little girls name, born into a family where she would thrive in ritualistic like practices. Asuka looking to her husband was only met with a grin, his hand overlapping the womans. “This child will become something amazing.. More than one can imagine.”
Unlike all of her other siblings that came after her, she was treated with an iron fist and instantly molded into a person everybody would have wanted to be near. Her first ever memories were her being taught how to kneel correctly at her family Shrine, sitting there for hours at a time as her first ever words were ritualistic prayers, recalling the whacks of her mothers cane whenever she stumbled over her words, or her small stature faulting under the kneeling and exhaustion. She quickly learnt that tears led to more pain and were then deemed unimportant to her, not needed; they only cause more hurt. Instead she bowed with her head against the cold stone of the Shrine floorings.
By the young age of five, she started kindergarten while being homeschooled by her grandmother, taught what she was needed and beyond while her father helped with her physical expectations; He expected nothing but perfection from his daughter and that is what he got, forcing her to run laps early in the morning as the rest of her day till dawn was filled to the brim of her studies with her grandmother, learning literature, math; anything beyond her size. She was ahead of many in so many ways, and her learning was one. Even with the pain that came throughout her trainings and her days, she was never one to complain; she simply took it, which unsettled even her parents, her grandparents; who have heard words of complaints from even people who willingly became their students.
The Kazahaya family were Shintoists beyond the extreme levels, performing rituals to the gods that they believed were Yokai that watched over the estate. Which at the right age of seven she was brought to the family Shrine, a specific old plum tree behind it and was told to kneel in front of it, dressed in the elaborate white Kimono many have worn before her. An incense placed in front of her that made the air thick, and difficult to breathe in. For hours she repeated the prayers her grandmother taught her, never failing to utter a word. Night eventually peered in, yet with the exhaustion and hunger inching in, she didn’t budge. In the clearing, as she was about to faint; a rough gust came in and blowing out the candles and incense that sat before her. In the darkness of the night, spying a figure; one that uttered ‘Do not fail.’ A hallucination coming from the trauma.
The next morning her mother brought her back to the estate, letting her rest for a day as Yuihimegami told her of what she witnessed, which of course her mother scoffed off, and reprimanded her for lying.. Nobody ever saw a Oni; yet that is what she thought she saw.
That night her father came to her bedside, to give her dinner and kiss her on the forehead goodnight; yet this time he came with a gift that wrapped around her head with the family crest embroidered into it. She didn’t protest, in reality; she didn’t question why her father gave her such a present and instead accepted it.
