Do you have Discord? If so, what is your username?:
aresdotmp3

List your timezone and country:
Pacific Standard Time/(GMT-8) - USA

Describe your activity:
I’ve been playing SRP a LOT for a while now, I find it to be one of my favorite daily pastimes, especially since summer break rolled around! I’m really active on my main for my track team, and have started warming up to my EMS tag more! I find roleplay more entertaining day by day and I’ve only come back for more.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
I remember applying for reporter a while ago and it was just such a fun place to be. I liked taking my time and talking to multiple people who’d come my character’s way, putting time and effort into my character’s reports each month. Designing and posting reports was actually my most favorite part but that’s besides the point! I really miss the faction and its activities, and so, I’m back and begging to be let back in lol.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
It depends on your definition of writing, I’ve done multiple reports in the past and have always had fun doing so! I find myself starting to lose myself in writing more than anything, especially with how recently I’ve been subjected to so many forms of DetailRP between my characters and their interactions. I think I have a genuinely fond relationship with writing! Much better than when I first applied, that’s for sure.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
Of course!

Why should we accept you over others?:
I think I bring a fun atmosphere to places where I frequent! Though I have plans of my character’s personality being a little shyer, I still would like to think I’d provide a fun time getting to know and talking to. Both, icly and oocly! AND, personally, I make some really appealing reports! So, I'll add that to my arsenal as well, heh.

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
Yes! I understand.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
I am more than confident.

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
Work as a reporter involves staying in tune with current Karakura events and keeping the media in tune with what’s happening around the town. Making reports that cover entertaining or informational topics for the readers. Also actively engaging with the community and even each other, of course!

IC (In-Character) Information:

August 13th, 2026. 6:45 pm. [!]

The man would walk into the room, his fingers locking together as they fidgeted about. Eyes facing forward as he listened for any and all questions, taking a seat and steady himself.

Full Name:
“Hello, it’s nice to meet you.”

He’d extend out a hand, greeting your gaze with a quaint smile.

“I’m Eliseo Isagani,” The man retracting his hand, instinctively returning to his antsy state. “T-Thank you for having me…!”

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr):
His eyes peered down to his fingers, nails lightly clanking against each other as he continued on.

“Just Eliseo is fine!” Another small little smile as his eyes perked up, a little nod as Isagani remembered to continue. “Ah, and I go by mister! But… I uhm, I don’t think there’s any need for formality."

He’d bring his hand up to his mouth, a loose fist covering his lips as he cleared his throat.

“Just my name is enough for me.”

Current Age (25+):
Eliseo kept his gaze away, only focusing back into your view with a sheepish grin.

“I’m 26, young but- I am more than capable!”

Past job/work experience:
“I don’t have much to say… I was in college for a while, but things change, and now I’m here!”

Degree/qualifications:
His eyes raised towards the ceiling, as if to search for the answers in his head.

“I got into college after a year-long break out of high school.”

His eyes landed back, meeting yours.

“After a few years I’ve graduated with a Bachelors in Journalism and a minor in both Literature and Mythology!”

Nationality and born location:
“I am Filipino and Japanese! Though, I was born in America.”

Phone Number:
The male would reach into his pocket, swinging his phone forward as he stared into the camera. From lock screen to home screen, Eliseo would push into his contact, finding his own.

“My number is… (030)-564-5095.”

Clicking his phone off and sliding the device back into his pocket, he’d rest his hands in his lap.

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
It’s like the man crumpled in on himself, the idea of speaking on his name wasn’t a favored one.

“Uhm… About- about me?”

His fingers continued to fidget in his lap, his eyes hiding behind dark frames.

“I’m uh… I’m a bit of a quieter guy-” His hands raising up to his sides, as if accused guilty! “B-But, that doesn’t make me any less better of a journalist than the next guy! I… I assure you.”

His hand’s returning to his sides.

“I’m calculated, I gather the information I need AFTER I plan out all it takes to get from point A to point B. Plan, execute, and deliver.”

His eyes showed off a fire, hidden beneath the void.

“I’m the man who gets the job done.”

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
Eliseo’s eyes would widen, uncertainty flashing for a brief moment.

“I… I like the idea of studying the paranormal.” - “Myth’s, legends, history that’s come ‘round to remind us of what was lost…”

Sweaty palms gripped into fists, quivering in his lap.

“I- I’m no stranger when it comes to gathering intel, getting proof that paints the picture. And, if it means moving out of my comfort zone…”

Eliseo bit his lip, breathing a sigh.

“Then, I’ll do it.”

What are your expectations for the job?:
“If I’m being honest, I have no real idea myself-”

His head gently tiled to the side, a light thought weighing over him.

“I expect to be out and about, finding things that’ll keep Karakura interested when the time comes.”

Isagani would lift his head, returning to a more proper posture.

“And if there’s more after that, I’ll handle it.”

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
A gentle laugh would escape his lips, the first one since he’d arrived.

“N-no, no!” A nod of the head. “Never in my life would I ever catch myself… doing something like that.”

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
“I have Japanese and… somewhat Filipino- It’s a hard language to learn.”

PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

Has anyone told you? I heard a rumour…

In the depths of the ocean that rides against Karakura sands, the faint lullabies of hypnotizing melodies course through the air, lacing your ears with tricks and tragedies. No matter the time, creatures of the sea continue to lurk among our shallow waters. But it seems like there’s more than fish that swim in our seas.

Have you heard of them?

Sirens, beautiful evils that hypnotize us through our ears. Though often seen in depictions of Greek mythology, the danger reaches out to all. Most commonly seen as beautiful women in the water, sirens almost look no different from what every other person envisions as mermaids.

But the difference is easy to see: where one lives to survive, the other lives to kill. Through the beauty of song, Sirens utilize their voices to lure and trap humans who fall victim to their melody. And I assume you can guess what happens next. The sound alone takes hold of their bodies, controlling their movements, thoughts, and ultimately, their fate.

I can't say that I’ve been fortunate, or rather… unfortunate enough, to witness the sight of a siren. However, the recent expansion of our coastline only opens up the island to danger we might have never seen before. To those that take nightly walks on the coarse sand, that stay up late watching the moon, praying for a bite on their rods, or even dip in the waters that aim to drown us all, a soft song might be awaiting you all.

A lullaby that’ll put you to sleep forever.

To the normal citizen, the threat of the siren is minuscule, but to those who traverse the seas… sail with caution. Whether it’s a fun day out in the sun, or a chance at riches under the sea, the song of a siren will catch you when you least expect it.

Or maybe it’s just a rumour, but that’s all I know…

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.
[!]
The video starts: the click and shuffling of Eliseo’s camera clanking against the wall as he faces the camera towards himself and a man who’d sit across from him. A scruffy male, bearded, with eyes that felt devoid of life. The background consisted of rusted walls with rows of fishing rods lining the way, windows open to the sounds of crashing waves, a lantern providing a gentle light. A slight… sway? The two seemed to be on water.

Eliseo faces forward, his voice gentle, somewhat hard to make out.

[Eliseo] “T-thank you for your time, Mister…”

[???] “Tanaka. Haruto Tanaka.”

[Eliseo] “Mister T-Tanaka, it’s a pleasure.”

[!]
Tanaka would only respond with a slight nod of his head. Isagani, visibly on edge.

[Eliseo] “W-well, let’s start! Tell me, Tanaka, j-just how long have you been fishing off the coast of Karakura?”

[Tanaka] “Hmph, give or take ‘round forty-three years.”

[Eliseo] “Wow, t-then I guess it’s safe to assume you must know th-the ocean well?”

[Tanaka] “Course I am, I damn near grew up in this ocean. My father taught me these waters, just like how his father taught him. I know the ocean like it’s my own home…”

[!]
Suddenly the fisherman grew quiet, a tense pause.

[Tanaka] “I know where I’m welcomed, and where I need’a leave before sunset.”

[Eliseo] “B-before sunset? Why? What happens af-after sunset?”

[Tanaka] “That's when you can hear ‘em.”

[!]
Eliseo’s eyes would widen, nodding his head.

[Eliseo] “The… T-the sirens?”

[Tanaka] “The voices.”

[!]
And just like that, Eliseo was lost. His head tilted to the side as he consistently nodded.

[Eliseo] “V-Voices? What do th-the voices sound like?”

[Tanaka] “It ain’t all the same. My brother heard the singin’ of a woman, but a friend of mine swore he heard his dead mother callin’ out his name. And me? I could hear ‘em tellin’ me ta’ come closer.”

[Eliseo] “A-And did you?!?”

[Tanaka] “Pfft- I'm still here, ain’t I?”

[!]
Isagani paused; it seemed he instinctively leaned in more and more with Tanaka’s words… and only just realized it now. He’d lean back, scratching his cheek.

[Eliseo] “Have you… uhm, ever actually seen the siren- or uhm, the host of the voice?”

[Tanaka] “Seen? Tch, no. Er… well, not clearly anyways. I seen the shapes laying against the rocks in tha’ ocean. Tall ones.”

[Eliseo] “C-could they have been seals?”

[Tanaka] “Seals don't wave you down with their long arms ‘nd yell at you in a language you can speak.”

[!]
Another tense silence.

[Eliseo] “W-when might you have first encountered them?”

[Tanaka] “I was young, ‘round my early twenties. I was young enough ta’ think the sea was something I could master, and then… three miles offshore the engine died. And that’s when I heard them.”

[Eliseo] “T-the voices?”

[!]
Tanaka would nod.

[Tanaka] “I heard ‘em beneath us. The laughter… the call. My crewmate leaned over the side ta’ listen ‘nd I pulled him back.”

[Eliseo] “W-was he about to fall overboard?”

[Tanaka] “Mmm mmm, it wasn’t cause of what he did. It’s cause they were knocking against the bottom of our boat.”

[Eliseo] “A-and what happened to him?”

[Tanaka] “He wouldn't talk. He didn’t say anythin’ bout them fer a few months. Then, eventually, he quit fishin’ altogether.”

[Eliseo] “Did he e-ever tell you… uhm, what he saw?”

[Tanaka] “Once. He swore he saw faces lookin’ back at him.”

[!]
The two would fall silent, Eliseo’s eyes trailing to the camera. His head swiftly turned around to look at a clock on the wall.

[Eliseo] “Ah! I-it’s getting pretty late. Uhm… Tanaka, if you could give anyone out there in the ocean advice, w-what would it be?”

[Tanaka] “If you hear ‘em calling your name from the sea, don't answer.”

[Eliseo] “E-even if you know the voice?”

[!]
The fisherman went silent for a moment. Eyes dead on the reporter.

[Tanaka] “Especially then. Turn around ‘nd your eyes on the way ahead. And after all that, don't look beneath the water.

[!]
THUD.

Eliseo would jolt back, wearily looking around the ship as he held onto the table. His eyes followed Tanaka as the fisherman shot up, reaching for his harpoon.

[Tanaka] “Shit.”

[Eliseo] “W-what was tha-?!”

[!]
THUD. THUD. THUD.

And with the crash of the waves slamming against the boat, the footage cuts out.

[OOC]
Additional Information:
I haven't gotten used to the editing program I'm using to make my visuals for reports, so all I have is the raw text. BUT! I think I have a good basis on how I want Eliseo to write! Though, I'd like to write more and reach more in-depth with the lore, I was a little nervous stepping on territory that hasn't been touched yet and I didn't want to assume anything. So I was kinda walking on egg shells, but I think it was still fun in the end! TY FOR READING!!!
