Please answer these questions from an In Character standpoint.

What is your name?
Sat with an unblinking stare.

‘Youmei Wong..’

What is your age and grade?

The Wong’s gaze drifted ever so slightly to the side, before returning to the examiner. Her finger idly tracing the design of the journal that lay flat in her lap, expression remaining rather neutral as her answer came without much hesitation.

‘I’m nineteen.. Currently in college. So I am quite unsure of what ‘grade’ that puts me in..

Gently tapping a finger against her cheek.

‘I suppose thats all there truly is to it..’

What is your motivation to lead a club within the school? (250+ words)
The spider-lily sat quietly for a moment, as the tar-pools she called eyes lowered down toward her hands, each word of the question being picked apart and considered. Eventually lifting her gaze with an expression being a perfect blend of calm and somewhat distant. After what felt like a stretched silence, her mouth opened, every word being chosen with extreme care.

‘I do not particularly think my motivation for leading a club comes from wanting to be in charge of another. The idea of having authority over others simply for the sake of having it sounds. .saddening.’

A small shake of the head

‘Mm. .no. If anything I feel that my goal is to create a space that allows anyone to be comfortable, and secure enough to enjoy themselves and their aspirations. To feel that they may exist in this world without having to bear the pressure of needing to prove themselves.’

What sounded like a noble goal was something much deeper, the Wong’s shoulders relaxed ever so slightly, her voice becoming just a tad softer.

‘That’s part of why I wish to lead Gaming Club.’

‘Sports club is something that while I have enjoyed. .I have come to realize quite quickly it is not something I am a good fit for. My knowledge on sports is more limited than I wish to admit, and I feel that it would be. .distasteful, for me to pretend otherwise simply because I am capable of having a position as a club leader.

A small pause, as a near inaudible breath escaped her lips.

‘I find it better to acknowledge my short-comings, and make an effort to place myself in a place where I can properly contribute. Gaming not only feels natural to me. .but it allows me to express a level of creativity I do not have the mind for in an athletic sense. To be able to immerse myself in another world and share that experience with those around me. .’

Just then, her eyes narrowed ever so slightly, not with disdain, but conviction.

‘Gaming can be far more than simply sitting with a group and playing something. It has the abilities to give others an easy, and fast way to talk to each other. Those who normally struggle with the idea of approaching another could find it easier to start conversations over a game.’

A gentle smile forming on her lips

‘Friendships. .teamwork. .and so much more can form from something as simple as a game. So that. .is why I desire to become the leader of this club.’

Why choose you over other candidates applying for this position? (50+ words)

“...Why should you pick me over the others?”

Her eyes lower for a moment, thoughtful as though weighing her own worth in silence before speaking

“I do not seek this position for praise, or to be seen. I seek to listen.”

She folds her hands neatly on the table, her tone calm but heavy with intent

“Most people lead by speaking loudly. I lead by hearing what goes unsaid. – The hesitations, the fears, the quiet needs others overlook. I have learned that silence reveals more than noise ever could.”

A soft pause – she almost smiles

“I am not guided by pride or impatience. I do not rush my decisions. I wait, I observe, I understand. It may seem slow… but the things that are built carefully, do not crumble.”

Her voice softens, but her eyes sharpen with eerie clarity

“Others chase light. I watch the shadows instead – they tell clearer truths.”

She sits back, serene

“What separates me is that I do not fear what others avoid – the quiet, the unseen, the uncomfortable. That is where real guidance lives.”

Her eyes locked onto the examiner with the same unblinking stare.

“My interest in learning from the members themselves. I cannot expect myself to know everything about every game. .and I truthfully don’t believe I need to. In often cases. .leading can be more about knowing when to listen.”

Her head craning to the left ever so slightly, an almost amused expression plastering across her face.

‘I suppose. .it is simple. I wish to create a place where anyone can enjoy themselves without making things more complicated than they have to be, and if this club becomes a place where people can look forward to spending their time, then I’d consider that enough of a reason to lead it. Would you not. .?’

What is the official title of your club?
Gaming Club

Provide a small summary of your club (75 words)
Gaming club to me is the foundation of allowing a community of people to come together and immerse themselves in a space where they can leave reality behind to take on something far more enjoyable. It allows those who use games as an escape to connect with others, tackle challenges together, share interests, and find new games/hobbies to indulge in.

Please gather five student members for your club and list their character names and usernames
  • Edith Starvrous | Itsjuststarri

You may ask any councillor that is not already a supervisor, if you can not find one, one will be provided to you upon acceptance.
I do not, but I’d be open to anyone willing.

Will there be any requirements of future members to join your club?
  • Follow ALL SRP, Discord, and Club rules. Breaking these rules will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • Members must attend atleast one meeting per week in order to keep up with activity and remain in the club unless a reason for inactivity is given prior.
  • Any form of toxicity will not be allowed, I.E. Judgement over someones choice in games, being a sore loser, insulting another person’s skill and or making fun of their desire to learn something.
  • Don’t steal the quarters in the machines, we need those to keep them running, this economy isn’t cheap.
  • Most importantly, have fun and enjoy themselves.

HoYoverse: Worlds Collide
As you walk through the school you notice a rather strange. .set up within the gymnasium. A small white haired. .child? Wait is that a sticker labeled “Emergency food”? Stepping inside you see a plethora of different areas. .all from different worlds and people that traveled far beyond the stars. Yet one seems to be both so familiar yet so. .new. What does she say?

"Ad astra abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers Guild.”

A school-wide gaming club event where students are able to dress up as their favorite characters from any HoYoverse game, be it Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, or Zenless Zone Zero, with the entire gym and possible outside track divided up into different worlds!
The premise of this event is for students and faculty alike to immerse themselves in their favorite HoYoverse game as the worlds collide creating a temporary but forever meaningful crossover festival. With each section of the event representing a different game that has its own activities tailored to that specific event.

Genshin Impact
The Adventurer’s Guild.
Participants obtain their own Adventure Card once they enter, completing activities will earn them stamps, which can be turned in at any time for various rewards depending on the amount of stamps received!

Activities for this area could be as following
- Elemental trivia
- Mini Treasure hunt
- Ley Line scavenger hunt
- Trivia stations based around the game’s nations and Archon’s for said nations

Honkai: Star Rail
The Astral Express
Participants receive a random ‘Path’ at the beginning. Destruction, Hunt, Erudition, and so on. Each path giving them a different challenge and or bonus stamp.

Activities for this area could be as following
- Turn-Based strategy challenges
- Dice based combat game with the use of the ICLY roll system over an ICLY board game or DnD style imaginary simulation.
- Simulated universe challenge area

Zenless Zone Zero
New Eridu
The entire area is decorated like a miniature arcade neighborhood instead of making an attempt to recreate the entire game. Participants compete in multiple ICLY styled rhythm games to earn stamps.

Activities for this area could be as following
- Rhythm Games
- Dance challenges
- Randomized “Hollow” Missions.

Cosplay Competition
The main event for the entire day, a cosplay competition that allows people to enter solo, or as a group. However this isn’t just any cosplay competition for the best costume.

Rather taking a vote system and judging participants solely off of their costume alone, the judgement is scored based on
- Character Portrayal: How well the person portrays said character
- Creativity: How creative the cosplay is
- Craftsmanship: How well the costume looks!
- Performance: How well the person performs on stage, reenacting the character(s) they are dressed as.
- Overall presentation: Self explanatory

This makes it even more accessible and forces people to put a little more effort into their character choice rather than simply making a costume and dressing up!

The awards for this would be as following

- Best Solo Cosplay, Yen prize

- Best Group Cosplay, Yen prize split between the group

- Best Character Portrayal, smaller yen prize

And finally, the ‘Audience Choice’ where they pick the Grand Champion, one of which who wins a Primo Gem prize and or currency for whatever HoYoverse game of their choosing for having flying colors in every aspect.

INSERT COIN: GAME OVER!
It was a normal tuesday morning like any other, jocks are spilling gossip at the pitch, swirling your best friend without your knowledge, the first fight already broke out and a faculty member threatened SLT for the 7th time, when suddenly. . .

The PA system rang out in a commanding panic.

“SYSTEM ERROR! PLAYER CHARACTERS HAVE ESCAPED. ALL UNITS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN ALERT! ~CRK! I REPEAT, ALL UNITS REMAIN ALERT!”

As panic and confusion flush throughout the school with students wondering what that means, suddenly pac-man,- wait pac-man? YES. PAC-MAN! Rushes past you in a blur of yellow, but not just our beloved yellow circle, as thunderous footsteps follow close behind, and 3 members in a giant centipede costume rush past, donkey kong following close behind bulldozing through the crowd, while mario, link, sonic and even Q*bert run past all splitting up in different directions.

For one day, the entire school has been infected by characters from old retro arcade games. Members dressed up as these nostalgic characters become the players, while the rest of the student body acts as the hunters trying to catch them!

However the objective for these players isn’t just to avoid being caught, they have their own objectives tailored to their character’s specific video game in designated spots within the school and they must complete their objectives before being caught by the hunters.

The hunters however, must catch these players and return them back to the gaming club so that they may be imported back into their video game.

An example of these objectives could be the following.

- Pac-Man: Collect 4 pellets hidden around the school.
- Space Invader: Find and scan three alien symbols
- Mario: Retrieve three stolen coins
- Link: Find a hidden triforce, and save princess Zelda
- Donkey Kong: Delivery 3 items to 3 specific locations.

-Sonic: Complete 5 checkpoints within a set time limit
- Q*bert: Help the hunters capture every video game character

Power Ups
Special Power-Up Cards will be carried by select faculty members, but only a certain powerups can be obtained for certain characters and or hunters

1-UP: Respawn immediately after being tagged by a hunter, with 30 seconds of invincibility

Gold Star(RARE): for 60 seconds an annoyingly loud yet catchy tune plays and you are immune to being tagged, but every tag cuts the timer by 5 seconds.

Ghost Mode (LEGENDARY): Turn the tables and tag the hunters, any hunter tagged is out permanently.

Hunter Items
X-Ray Vision:
For 30 seconds, the hunter can ask an event moderator whether a player is hiding within a specific area.

EMP: Disable ALL player power-ups in a designated area for 30 seconds

Reveal: A moderator gives the hunter a clue about a player of their choosing’s objective.

Boss Mode: For a full minute, the hunter becomes a designated “Boss” Players can’t use their normal abilities against them.

BountyCard: The hunter receives a specific player’s character card and earns bonus points for tagging that person.

FINAL LEVEL INITIATED

All remaining players have to make their way to a pre-planned final boss area.

If the players succeed, GAME OVER.

If the hunters succeed, the school and gaming club are saved!

After the event is over, there could be achievements/awards given out to the hunter with the most points, the last player standing, and more!

Build Requirements
Small areas around the school altered and tailored to the specific game character
An area where faculty can sit to give power-ups/hunter items
A penalty zone for any hunter deemed out of the game entirely

Provide one club activity that your club might host
Dungeons and Dragons
This is something that I would definitely have to take more time to develop, but I would like to write my own ICLY DnD campaign for the club specifically, allowing those who love games such as Baldurs Gate to be able to relive that wonderful experience within SRP and partake in their own campaign, as well as allow those who have never been apart of a campaign to have the option to do so! Everything would be done completely ICLY as a means of keeping it within the club itself rather than OOCLY.

Possible Plans:

Esports Team
Another idea I developed and am still heavily developing is introducing an ICLY Esports team, where every so often, gaming club hosts tournaments for specific competitive games such as Valorant, Overwatch, CSGO, and more. This idea will need to be workshopped heavily but its something I have been considering.
