ItzAngii

Level 5
What is your Minecraft username?: urangus

How old are you?: 16

Do you have any previous bans?: one or two minor ones from when i first joined a few years ago, reasons not significant enough for me to remember

What Country are you from?: america

Do you have Discord (if so, what is your discord username?): urangus#8827

Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?: i understand

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?: yes

Do you understand that all classroom activity must be documented on the "Teacher Roster" thread?: yes, i do

Describe your activity on the server & on the forums: I first joined half way through 2017, and that's when I started to become an active member of the community. Since then, I applied for NQT (accepted, a few months) and then moved up to being a college professor (accepted, for almost a year). After that, I quit because I had to prioritize school. My activity was on and off for months until I came back and taught again for a few more months. Eventually, I had to resign once more because of personal reasons. Once again, activity on SRP was on and off. I spent more time building for servers, Roleplay Hub now included. I now have the time and would like to spend it RPing as a teacher. My activity on the forums correlates with my activity on the server.

Link(s) to any previous applications on the server?:

In terms of language applications, I have applied for Korean on urangus
(accepted), as well as Korean and Italian on my alt, saltysprinkles (both accepted).

I first applied for teacher over the summer of 2017
(accepted), but I am unable to find the post itself on the forums

I cannot link my professor application as it was in DMs with Banter, but it was
accepted

I applied for English NQT again in 2018
(accepted): https://schoolrp.net/index.php?threads/urangus-english-teacher-application.14095/

Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?: I've been a high school teacher twice before, as well as a professor once, for almost a year. I enjoyed teaching in the high school, but I had to quit both times due to having to prioritize school along with personal matters. Now that I am able to teach again, I would love the opportunity.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?: Plenty. It all started when I joined SRP for the first time, and since then I’ve experimented with DiscordRP. However, I wasn’t a fan and have returned to SRP since.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?: Thoroughly, many times

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?: Every time a teacher hosts a class, they have to give a brief description of what they did. It is important as it gives the other staff an insight into who's actually teaching & active.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?: I would make a field-trip application by completing both the OOC application and the IC application using the format provided.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?: It would be similar to the ones most people use, like raising your hand, not to be disrespectful, no inappropriate language or behavior, not to talk while the teacher is speaking, and no eating in class.

Summarize your previous RP experience's (both in general and on SchoolRP): I have never roleplayed before this server. As previously stated, I have sufficient experience roleplaying as a highschool teacher and professor on my main account, along with experience as a highschool student on both of my accounts.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

- HD: Head Of Department - in charge of the entire department. They are in charge of both the QTLS and NQTs.

- QTLS: Qualified Teacher for Learning and Skills - They teach their own classes, but also help train the NQTs and aid in keeping them successful.

- NQT: Newly Qualified Teacher - Although legally qualified to teach, the NQTs are the newest teachers of the school. They have the QTLs to aid them if they need them, especially when it comes to their first few classes.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

Teachers are the sole part of SRP. Teachers are required to educate the students of Karakura, in a safe, yet fun, learning environment. They teach their lessons for at least one period as often as they can, being around 3 or 4x/week. In their spare time, they should be marking papers and planning future lessons before anything of their leisure.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:

School is essential to the SRP experience, the server itself being named SCHOOl-RolePlay. Without teachers, there is no school system.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?: MoSCoW, which is essentially a must have/should have/could have/would have system.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What does she look like? What makes her unique and different? What is her outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is her personality like? What is her plan for the future?

My character who will be taking this role is named Juliette Bloom. She has been both a teacher and a professor before and would have long hair that she frequently dyes, a skinny build, and is just under 5". When it comes to her morals, she treats everyone equally, and is very kind-hearted. She may come off as timid, but she isn’t afraid to voice her opinion, especially when it comes to her students. This can cover this from bullying, to peer-pressure, to any sort of discrimination. She sees every student equally and as an opportunity to help our world. She treats her coworkers as her friends, but with respect. She is never rude to them. Throughout school, she was known as a very good student, and since she graduated, she's wanted to come back and help share her knowledge with others. She became an English teacher straight out of college, and since then a college professor, which was her dream for as long as she could remember. Because of some family matters back in America, she had to leave. Once that was sorted, she was able to take her job as an English teacher back for a few months. However, the family matters returned. She needed a break once they were taken care of, and knowing she couldn’t teach in the condition she was in, she visited some family in Europe. She picked up Italian and attended a small community college in Venice, advancing her education even more. She is ready to return to Karakura, but this time, she doesn’t want to go back to teaching English. This is her fresh start.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?: I tell them that they shouldn't use that kind of language in the school, write down their names, and report them to a principal/another official.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?: I get everyone's attention, possibly by clapping my hands or talking a bit louder, and tell them why they should be listening. I tell them how important the class is, and then continue on with the class after.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?: She would make small talk with the other teachers, be polite, and act kindly and respectfully.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me she'd clap her hands together, attempting to gather the class's attention

/me she'd pull out a stack of marked papers from her desk drawer, and begin handing them to the students; one by one. as she reached some of the students, she'd congratulate them on their excellent achievement by saying "wonderful work, [their name].

/me she'd pick up the piece of white chalk, and begin writing her assignment guidelines on the chalkboard.

/me she would hand John a detention slip after taking his phone away. she would tell him he is not allowed to use his cell phone in her classroom and that he can get it back at the end of the day.

/me she would collect the students' homework assignments, and pile them up on her desk. as she did that, she would also collect the names of the students who didn't do it.

Backstory

This is a few months old, but its the most recently-updated copy: https://schoolrp.net/index.php?thre...ated-biography-as-of-9-3-18.14421/#post-45910

Miss Juliette Bloom entered the world on March 3rd, 1995. She was born in Miami, Florida- right after her parents moved to America from England. She was their first and only child, and had a pretty simple childhood. She attended school in the same town she was born, and continued on until she was graduating high school. She always had a good amount of friends and did everything she could to get her grade the best it could be. She learned to try the hardest in everything she does, and she keeps that with her to this day. However, by senior year, she was faced with some pretty big problems. One of her closest friends, Hazel, had left her. She had left the world due to a few mean girls who didn't know when to stop. Juliette had known her pretty much her whole life, as they were childhood friends. This pulled her heart down to her stomach, and she was left torn for years. She didn't want to accept it, but she finally had learned to let it go. Juliette had never forgiven the girls who drove her best friend to suicide, and she still hasn't. This has made her hate disrespect and bullies even more, and that's still sticking by her- and always will. This wasn't the only bad thing she's faced in life, though. It seemed as though things kept coming at her, faster than she could learn to cope with. This was the start of her crippling depression, what she refers to as a black hole of emotion. Whenever she became happy, it seemed as though things would just drag her back down. She didn't know how to deal with these things the slightest bit until she was nearly a full adult, because she had such an easy childhood. About a year after she had lost Hazel, she lost one of her other best friends, this time being family. She lost her grandmother, Magnolia, due to a heart attack when she was at age 81. Nobody was expecting it, and just as Juliette thought she was recovering the slightest bit, this left her worse than she was before. Once again, it was a piece of the puzzle in her endless emotion. She remembered doing everything with her grandmother. From cooking, to playing, to traveling and going on adventures... they did it all. She almost moved into her grandmother's house multiple times, for two reasons. She had never met her grandfather and wanted to keep Magnolia company. The other one, being more important, her parents just couldn't take care of her. Since she was doing so well in school, they figured they could leave her home most of the day- while they were out working. They worked most of the day, only coming back to sleep. When they were working, however, Juliette would try calling but usually got no answer. When she finally got a bike, she would ride to her grandmother's house everyday- sometimes without her parents even knowing. She felt safe there, it was her happy place. After her death, the house Juliette called safe was torn down. they were making room for something else, more "innovative". Juliette fought with the government to keep the house up, but failed miserably. The only thing they gave her were photos in the mail of the house. She kept these photos safe, she didn't want a thing to happen to them. She thought life couldn't get any worse. She lost both her best friends in life, and her parents were slowly drifting away, as they found new jobs and were considering moving and leaving. Juliette all on her own, as she was now a legal adult. It never crossed Juliette's mind that this would happen, until she woke up to a note bed the next morning. "Dearest Juliette, We love you. We will always be here for you. We found new jobs in Chicago and will be back soon. As you are reading this, we will most likely be on the train. Don't try and call yet, there will be no signal. just remember we will always be there, as we have been all along. xoxo mother & father" There were lipstick stains at the bottom page, in the shape of lips. Initially, she chuckled at the thought of her father putting lipstick on. Then, it sank. She realized she was all alone, without any warning. Her life flashed in front of her, and she was considering a lot of things, suicide being one of them. She grabbed all the pills she could, running to the bathroom. As she was running, there was a divot in the floor, from something like a heavy suitcase as her parents were walking out of the door. This made her trip, and land chin down on the hard wooden floors. She screamed bloody murder, as the pain was so sharp and sudden. Thankfully, her neighbor called the police and an ambulance arrived right away, walking into Juliette on the ground in horrible pain. She was brought to the hospital, receiving the help she needed- and ending up with a faint scar on her chin, where they had placed the stitches. She had begun therapy appointments, and her depression was slowly getting better. She ended up going nearly bankrupt, all the bills were adding up. the house, the medical bills, the therapy sessions... she just decided to leave. She got in her tiny car with all her things, and left. She didn't really know where she was going, but she knew she was going somewhere. She had brought some money her parents had left behind and was going to the airport after she heard an ad on the radio for ticket sales. Still, with no clue where she was going, she hopped onto the freeway and drove a million miles a second. She wanted to be away, to be able to be herself. She had brought all her essentials; food, clothes, money, pictures, and most importantly- her diploma. She was ready, and had ~hopefully~ made up her mind. She was going to Japan to attend schooling. She was going to get her degree, and try and land a job. She would try to support herself from now on, and not to worry so much about her emotions and them taking over. She would just be herself, and surround herself with people, like Hazel, that care for her. She began having flashbacks of playing with Hazel in her grandmother's house. She began to get so emotional, she had a mental breakdown- while driving. She was still on a freeway, going at least 80 miles an hour. She was distracting herself from driving so much, she began to swerve around, more and more. It was just about morning rush hour, and it wasn't helping the situation. She slowly began drifting off the road, towards the metal barriers. Just when all the bad things began stopping, they came back. She ended up drifting over into another lane and being pushed into the barriers, causing her car to spin uncontrollably. She tried smashing the breaks, attempting to stop. Sadly, this didn't work as the crash was so severe. She can't remember the rest as she blacked out, but she woke up to the sounds of ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars. By this time, she was already in New York, pretty much a day's worth of driving away from her home in Florida, and really far from her parents in Chicago. Her injuries were so severe, the police didn't have time to question her. She was put in an ambulance and brought straight to the nearest hospital. All that was running through her head was "Am I gonna die? Am I gonna die? Am I gonna die?" over and over again. She was scared, and her anxiety wasn't mixing well with her depression. She didn't want to die, but at the same time, she was wishing for death. She didn't feel like dealing with life anymore, not one bit. Something in her kept her going. She ended up breaking her arm and needing surgery in her leg, but there's nothing a cast and physical therapy can't fix, she thought. She knew that she couldn't fly into Asia like this. It was her goal to recover. She tried her best in physical therapy, for a whole month and a half- after getting her casts off. The first thing she did was get cleared to fly. The second she was, she went. She went to Japan without anything holding her back. She enrolled in one of her dream colleges, made it, and tried her best once again. She tried taking all the bad in her past experiences and turning them into good. She believed both her grandmother and best friend were there with her, every step of the way. During college, she had to work and support herself financially. She tried a whole bunch of different jobs, trying to find the right one to do part time. None of them really sparked an interest for her, so she just continues in college, getting her master's degree in English Language Arts. Shortly after, she applied to work at a few different high schools, but decided that the one she currently puts her heart and soul into was perfect. The location, the students, everything. Life was good.

Experience as an English NQT & College Prof.; She then found a job at the local high school. She was now an English teacher, and loved every moment of it. The students, the atmosphere... she even had a boyfriend, Franklin Edge. While they were together, they laughed a lot, but Juliette also ended up breaking her wrist. A student verbally assaulted both her and Mr. Edge, and it soon evolved into a fist fight. When she tried pushing him away from her, he slammed her against a wall, making her wrist bend the wrong way- breaking it. This was when Juliette realized how careful she had to be in the town she now lived in. Around a month after this, their relationship came to an end. Not because of a fight or anything, either. Mr. Edge had died of cancer. This left Juliette heartbroken, triggering some of her old memories. But, to cope with this and help her distract herself, she quit her job and applied to work for a local community college. And soon after, she was accepted. She was now Professor Bloom, and 26 years old. She would now teach Education, and the occasional cooking classes. She had settled down once more, and would do the same thing practically every day. Until one day, when suspicious looking students walked in. She had never seen them before, they weren't the normal kids she'd see every day. Soon after she started giving instructions, she would find herself screaming for help and dialing 9-1-1. The students she wouldn't expect coming into her classroom were now running it- after they picked Juliette up, and threw her out the door. She ended up spraining her knee pretty bad, and fracturing her wrist once more. However, she didn't let this set her back. She never saw those kids again, and continued teaching college classes even after settling down in a new town- Karakura. Soon after, she would meet yet another romantic interest- Alfie Knights. They dated for a few months, and she got the chance to be a motherly figure towards his daughter, Chloe Knights. After all of that, she ended up quitting her job. She returned to America, where she'd stay for a while- with family she hasn't seen in a decade. Recently, she returned to Karakura, searching for a teaching role, which she was only able to keep for a few months. Many family issues and a plane ticket to Italy later, she attended a small community college in Venice. Juliette’s Italian was near-fluent and she discovered that she loved the language relatively quickly. This was her opportunity at, yet another, fresh start. Bloom had an affinity for teaching, so why not combine it with her new-found passion--Italian?
