Explain your activity on the Server: Ever since I joined SRP, I've spent multiple hours a day online playing. Since quarantine, my playtime overall playtime on the server itself has increased drastically . and I've been playing increasingly more every day. Indeed, even with school beginning, my playtime hasn't changed much by any means (other than my couple days of break) considering i'm doing virtual. I spend about 2-6 hours online a day relying upon the time and the things I need to do on SRP. On weekends I do tend to spend a bit more time online, but my playtime is generally the same on all 7 days of the week.

What previous experience do you have working in a team?: I have a few previous experiences on a team both OOCly, and ICly. OOCly, I was on my school's student council for 2 years before I switched schools, and found myself not fit for student council any longer. While on the student council, I learned various things about working alongside others, along with event planning. I learned how to communicate with the fellow members better, and to get my idea's across while still keeping a respectful mind to other peoples ideas, points, and opinions. When it comes to ICly team experiences, I've worked at different shops and learned the aspects of working with a team in a working environment, (even if its ICly) along with other prominent learning experiences. I'm additionally on the Spartan Volleyball-Team ICly which helped me a great deal with cooperation and teamwork, as our success relies upon our communication and cooperation as a group.

What makes you different from other applicants?: I am not underestimating the abilities and features of the other applications, i'm sure in many aspects we all have our own focal points in our abilities. But, when it comes to what makes me different from other applications, I know myself well enough to say that I do have extreme determination along with creativity and a passion for event planning. I understand that that may seem like a basic answer, but in all honestly when it comes to things like event-planning or anything that I myself am generally passionate about, I do my utter best to succeed and thrive in the subject. My creativity also plays a part in my qualities as an applicant because I often suddenly think of random events and situations suddenly, writing them down as the idea plays out in my mind.

Provide a detailed event proposal that would be seen by the Event-Team:

Fashion Festival

General Idea:

I personally think a Fashion-Festival would be a great event to host in Karakura, the idea revolves around the rising interest of fashion in Karakura. The event would take place either at the beach, or in the shopping district depending on season, or theme of the Fashion festival. For this specific proposal, i'll explain it at the shopping district, along with the theme being autumn themed, revolving around halloween. Japanese people generally focus all their halloween spirit, an activity’s on fashion as they don’t ‘trick or treat’ like they do in other places around the world. As Karakura is set in Japan, it's an idea that fits well. There will be various stalls for selling fashion related items that shops could put up selling their merchandise, and a few food/drink stalls for refreshments. Nearing the end there will be a full on show where either players could dm an event team member to possibly be apart as a model, or designer where clothing companies could show off their new designs and examples.
(skin makers in various servers.)

Preparing/announcing the event:

Like every other event, an announcement will be made in the discord, allowing for players to prepare in advance. In the announcement it will state that players can dm (whoever) to take part in the event as a designer if they meet the right requirements, or if they’re what the team is looking for. The event team will also start constructing the area for the event 1-2 days before.

Plans:

Decoration and Layout:

The stalls selling the fashion-related items all scattered around the general vicinity of the main build, the main build being the runway itself. Along with decorations corresponding with the theme, in this case autumn/Halloween themed, using the core colors you’d usually find during this season; orange and black. The runway would have chairs lined up and down the sides, along with directly in front ready for the show itself.

The picture is the best i could find with an outdoor venue.

The back of the runway would be blocked off with barriers, with gates for opening so the people not needed backstage couldn’t get backstage.

Activities:

Costume/outfit contest.

  • Before the Runway part of the event, there will be a booth where players can sign up to be part of the costume contest. The outfit itself does not have to be a costume per say, but other players will be voting on the most extravagant, creative pieces. Outfits themselves should revolve around the theme, but costumes are an exception as it can be multiple themes.

  • Nearing the end of the event, the top 3 winners will be announced that players voted on via poll.
Prizes:

First place: Totoro backpack

Second place: Earrings

Third place: 10,000 yen

Photo booth:

Like most events, this event will also include a photo booth. As it is a fashion related event, photo booths should be expected to photograph players' outfits and looks. Hence the theme, the background of the booth will be decorated in the corresponding colors. Once the final show starts at the runway, the photographer will move onto front of the runway to take photos of the models.

Runway:

  • The runway activity is the core event, it will occur towards the end of the event. A server wide broadcast will be made when it begins to start, and the designated broadcaster will announce who the models are, and who made the attire in a /mel.
  • The models will walk down the runway/catwalk in order of the designer, doing their /mel of their strut, creating a visual for the audience. At the end of the runway, they'll also pose, putting together the whole model vibe. They'll then walk back up the runway where the next model will begin walking down, continuing the process. Then at the end, all the models will walk down doing one final walk.

The announcer will then wrap up the event by thanking the models, and asking the audience for a round of applause.

Hurricane

Summery:

The event name speaks for itself, a hurricane comes to Karakura. This event is simpler than other natural disaster events such as a fire, or a tsunami which isn’t really possible because of the amount of copy and pasting needed, and the amount of lag it would cause. The main idea is where its announced that a hurricane is planned to hit Karakura, in the announcement its noted that the hurricane isn't really that strong, but it's still advised to prepare and stay safe. The school gym is opened up as a shelter for people who feel like their home wouldn't be the safest place. As the hurricane approaches it suddenly gets stronger, and does a bit of damage to structures and decor around Karakura.

As it is a hurricane event, the players would spread around the map in their homes; or at the gym. This will hopefully decrease lag, as there aren't large player numbers gathered in one place.

I do also realize this is similar to the mini event that happened a little while ago with the storm, but this way its more severe; with minimum changes to the map.

Preparations:

As mentioned in the summery, an announcement for the event will go out a few days prior giving players time to prepare (ICly). Not much preparations/builds need to be made before the event, but a small space in the gym will need to be cleared out and two stalls would be added to supply water, and food during the hurricane along with other needed supplies.

During the event:

The event will start with a simple /event broadcast about 1 (ooc) hour prior, it will inform the citizens of Karakura about how the storm is closing in, and how that is the time to start seeking cover. The gym will also open at this time, allowing for people to come take shelter there.

After the (ooc) hour, another broadcast will be made announcing that the storm has started. A /event will be made describing the conditions in the storm such as the winds and amount of rain. The final call for the shelter in the gym will be made, warning citizens that this is their last chance. Weather will also be changed to thunderstorms.

After awhile, another /event will be made that the rain is heavily increasing along with the wind, and that a eerie howl from the wind echoed throughout Karakura. From here, the doors to the gym will be closed and blocked off for the safety of the people inside. A staff member will later /summon a lightning bolt outside the gym window creating an extremely loud sound, shaking the whole gym. Yet another /broadcast will be made describing the shakes and rattles of the lightning bolt, which caused the power in the gym to go out.

Around the map, small changes will be made littering the map itself with small amounts of debris from the storm. People who decide to go outside for (some reason) have the chance of getting hurt because of this, along with the chance of them getting struck by lightning.

Some of the possible damages that could be done is the flag at (spawn) falling down across the street, something flying into the window in the gym causing the window to break; and then the citizens taking shelter in the gym will be forced to move to the secluded corners. More minor changes are trashcans falling over, causing the trash to spill, along with small general piles of random debris. One of the houses could also possibly get struck by lightning.

During the event, the tree outside the gate to the gym in the school will fall over, blocking the exit/entrance out of the gym. The other exit was blocked off from the other side, causing the civilians/students to be trapped in the gym until after the storm where EMS/KPD could arrive.

At the end of the hurricane event, citizens could go around Karakura, cleaning up the debris from the storm. Staff would follow the players around, breaking the blocks as the player actioned to clean it up (ICly)

Event 3

───✱*.。:。✱*.:。✧*.。✰*.:。✧*.。:。*.。✱ ───

This is a smaller-sudden event. It could happen quickly, but it's still an idea!

Summery:

In this event, a decently-known families pet goes missing. The family puts up posters all around Karakura advertising a award of 100k yen to whoever found their dog. This event is sort of a hide-and-seek sort of event with a twist.

Plans:
One of the event team members will play as the cat, and hide in a spot around the map. They're not allowed to hide inside locked area's as that's unfair. A /event will be announced about the posters being put up about a families missing pet, advertising a prize of 100k to whoever can find it. Something the players don't know that once someone finds the pet (cat) its extremely nervous- and runs from the player, essentially sending the players on a wild hunt. The players would then have to chase the cat around Karakura where other players may spot this happening and help aid in the chase. Whoever successfully actions getting the cat, is the one who wins the prize.
