Aside from what people have already said, I feel like it'd be a bit intrusive to know when someone else is typing. I find myself usually re-write a lot of stuff when roleplaying, so I could see a lot of people not feeling comfortable enough with other people knowing when they're typing

I don't think it's possible to keep the player's momentum while the train is actively moving around. It'd take an unfathomable amount of maths to achieve this, and even so I'm pretty sure that calculating the player's position every tick to make it somewhat smooth from the player's perspective...
