Out of my personal experience the best way to make money is applying to work at a shop or even joining a faction as it also gives more roleplay opportunities.

I wasn't around for a lot of time during this gangrp era, due to me quitting for around seven months or more before it started changing. Though, I have fond memories and bad ones of it, current gangrp is definitely more tame than the old one. Love both old and new even if I quit gangrp.
