How do I change the name that comes before my grade level?

sooo I was changing my rp name and the server told me that if I changed the name i’d Get kicked? So I just clicked [YES] and it didn’t even change the name either way. Is this new??? Why am I not allowed to change the name?

Is it okay if someone completely steals a pretty uncommon name from someone? Or should all of us have different first names?
