Appearance
Rina is, naturally, a Plain Jane. She has the basic features associated with Asians / Japanese. Her face is round and flat, with wide cheekbones and a medium sized nose. She has dark brown, mono lidded eyes, with curly eyelashes. Her hair is a dark-brown-to-black and is either straight or slightly wavy. Her body has little to no shape, minus the slight curve of her waist. Bad posture makes her seem shorter than she is.

(little to it, there is a picture as reference)

Personality:
Rina is the studious type, whether it be studying people, or preparing for the next test and likes to see herself as being logical, principled and reliable. Unbeknownst to most, she has a daring and adventurous side at times. She is neat and likes to keep things in order, whether or not they are under her control.

Like many people, Rina also possesses bad traits. She is easily irritated but keeps it to herself, often leading to random outbursts of "Will you shut up!" and exclamations of similar value. She lacks in self-confidence and can overthink a lot. Although not a pessimist, she would not consider herself an optimist either. Her lack of grace and poise is a definite drawback, as anything is spill-able, breakable or trip-over-able.

Backstory
(warning: 'tis bad)

Rina Yamamoto was born in the Yamaguchi prefecture of Japan on the 17th September, 2000. She was born to happily married parents Hiroyo and Keiji Yamamoto. along with her older brother Ryusuke Growing up, Rina was a bright, outgoing child with a curious mind and a tendency to talk forever. Her childhood was fairly average, up until the age of 6, when her father was fired from his, until then, successful career. The sudden discharge led to drinking, which led abuse directed towards Ryusuke and their mother. This continued for half a year until Hiroyo decided it was too much. With nothing but a bag on their shoulders with only one outfit and little money, Hiroyo and her children moved to America to start a new life.

The broken relationship between her mother and father, along with the sudden move to a foreign country, left Rina with little confidence and curiosity. There was an obvious change in her personality as she went all through her time at preschool and middle school making no attempt to make friends. Her mother was rarely home, working hard to provide for her children, leaving her under the care of her brother. Both children were forced into maturity, Ryusuke trying his best at such a young age to earn money through lemonade stands, dog walking and other child friendly jobs. Rina took on the role of a young housewife, cleaning and learning how to cook when her mother came home late.

During high school is when Rina began to adapt to the American lifestyle, forgetting her native language and culture. She studied hard to achieve top marks, wanting to follow in the footsteps of her older brother, now well on his way to becoming a businessman. Rina slowly began to fall back into her outgoing attitude, making a good group of friends. At the age of 14, she met her first and, currently, only serious boyfriend. Although awkward at first, the two seemed inseperable, spending days upon days together. On her 15th birthday, her boyfriend gifted her a key necklace, to which he owned a matching lock.
On the 6th May, 2016, Nozomi Yamamoto passed away. This caused Rina to become quiet and unsocial once again, as she struggled to cope without her mother. She worked herself harder to distract herself, pushing her friends and even her boyfriend away. Around others, she showed no emotion, at home she cried and grieved.

Deciding he was incapable of raising Rina, Ryusuke made the decision of contacting their father, despite the broken relationship they had. One day he announced that Rina was to move back to Japan and live with her father and his new family. Rina left without a word to anybody.

Back in Japan, Rina struggled to relearn the Japanese language and culture. She started school once more, transferring three times in her 1st year of high school, before transferring once during her 2nd year, finally settling in one place.

At home, she began to build a relationship with her father and his new family. Unfortunately, it was not long after the connection between father and daughter was made when Keiji Yamamoto passed away from overworking, leaving Rina under the care of her step-mother.

Rina started becoming close friends with her step-brother Shinjiro as they spent more time together. Feelings one shouldn't feel towards their step-brother began to develop, and so Rina decided that it was time to finally live alone. Moving meant that another transfer was needed. Now attending (whatever the school is called), Rina decided to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer, throwing herself back into studying.

(To be continued when I can think again)
