 | PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Standing at a height of of 5'5" and weighing 120Ibs, Azumi has a lithe & curvy hourglass figure, both accentuated and hidden from view by her sleek, conservative style of clothing. She has smooth, porcelain skin with light freckles dusting her body, chest, and shoulders. Most of her muscle strength seems to be in her long legs while there is some light muscle definition along her arms and abs. She typically sports a small, warm smile which always seems to reach her pale green eyes. Her cheeks easily brighten when she's flustered, embarrassed, or shy, at times even turning the tips of her ears pink. {More to come later.} |
PERSONALITY Azumi is a rather introverted and shy individual who prefers going about her own business and not bothering others. Despite her gentle and kind disposition, she has a backbone and a little bit of spice if you push all the right buttons. Although mostly unafraid of confrontation, she simply prefers to keep quiet and keep out of drama. Although she loves her family dearly, she's very secretive about who they are and where she comes from. She's a very honest and open individual but she will tell those she meets that she was born in Tokyo, Japan where she grew up. While she was raised in Japan, Azumi was actually born in Ireland to an Irish mother and Japanese father, where her parents met while her father was traveling abroad. Azumi is also a perfectionist at heart, having been pushed to always do her best by a strict father. Determination to prove herself, tough love from her father, gentle guidance from her grandmother, and an absent mother forged her into the strong and empathetic person she is today. | HOBBIES ✧Azumi loves to draw, write poetry, and practice photography. ✧She also really loves baking breads, sweets, & pastries. ✧Enjoys spending hours in the forest, caring for wildlife and enjoying the scenery. ✧She loves hunting for and taking pictures of cool mushrooms. ✧Azumi also enjoys studying and caring for plants of all sorts. ✧Absolutely loves to read. SKILLS & QUIRKS ✧Archery. Azumi's father taught her the beautiful art of archery, taking her out to the mountains on trips often to practice on painted targets. ✧Baking. Azumi can make some of the tastiest pastries and baked goods thanks to her grandmother's recipes and having baked with her often enough. ✧Drawing. Adept at drawing ethereal scenes of peace and overgrown nature, Azumi finds herself doodling under a tree in her downtime. ✧Soft spoken. "Hey, speak up, what'd you say?" is a common question Azumi hears. She hates repeating herself and she's working on learning to project herself a bit more. | FAMILY & GENERAL HISTORY A trip abroad could lead you to meet anyone. You never know what you see once you cross a border into new lands. At least, that's how Azumi Chikafuji's parents met. Akira Chikafuji, Azumi's father, had been on a sightseeing trip in Ireland where he met Saoirse McCarthy, Azumi's mother. Their love was passionate though they often bickered. Her mother, a free-spirited and feisty woman, had a temper and her father was a strict, traditional no-nonsense sort of man. This often led to the two of them butting heads. Akira Chikafuji eventually left Saoirse to return to his home in Tokyo, Japan, having failed to convince Saoirse to return with him. What they both didn't know at the time, was she would be carrying his child for the next several months following his departure. After Azumi's birth on March 17th, 2002, Saoirse contacted Akiro, suggesting he visit her so they can talk about an important matter. Saoirse never wanted a child and refused to take care of it. She gave Akiro an ultimatum. Either he took on this child birthed outside of marriage as his own, or Azumi would be left to the adoption system. Akiro hadn't wanted a child either but he refused to leave his daughter behind, believing she would instead grow on him over time. And she did. With his daughter in his life, Akiro found himself teaching her everything he knew, determined for his daughter to lead a life even more fulfilling than his. Saoirse never reached out to check in on Azumi's development and wanted nothing to do with her life. Akiro's mother, Chō Chikafuji, helped raise little Azumi alongside the single father, making for a wonderful grandmother figure. She taught Azumi how to cook, bake, sew, draw, and even taught her a thing or two about Japanese history. Azumi grew into a rather well-rounded individual but she'd never been too social with her peers. She found herself being mocked for her foreign birthplace and her fear of being treated like an outsider led her to change her appearance entirely, opting instead to say she was born in Tokyo, Japan and that her mother was always out on business trips. Her own father told a similar story to his colleagues, refusing to ever mention her mother, how Azumi had been born out of wedlock, or where she came from. |
