What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)? Maiden
What is your motivation for applying? Recently I have had a few interactions with one of the priests ooc and ic. I think it is a quite an interesting job to apply to and a chance to expand my rp experiences and perhaps even learn others.
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it? I do not know much but I am more than willing to learn.
IC INFORMATION
Character Full Name: She'd be sitting across with a rather unreadable expression as she was asked her full name. "Well.." Her gaze trailed aside before back to the person. "My name is Helena Mieszko, though I am officially adopted into the Desmond family so I suppose it would be Helena Desmond." She'd give a small nod of her head. "It is a pleasure to meet you."
Character Title: Squinted as she thought for a moment, seemingly deciding on it. She hated being called by such proper titles. "Ms. Desmond words just fine I suppose." Her gaze softened a bit and seemed to accept the title she'd given herself.
Character Age: 23
Character Marital Status: She'd raise a brow in confusion. "My.. Martial status..?" Once they explained what it was her expression softened slightly before returning to his unreadable state. "Ah.. I am single. I do not plan on ever interacting with others in such ways.." She seemed content with her reply and confident in it.
Character Nationality: Hummed, tilting her head back slightly. "I am Polish. I was born and raised in Poland before traveling here due to.." Her gaze shifted to a conflicted one before shaking her head and ignoring whatever seemed to upset her. "Due to complications."
Degree/Certifications (If applicable): Tilted her head, her hair slipping aside off her shoulders. "I graduated and attempted going to college though college didn't seem to go very well for me.. to many interactions with people that were far more than necessary and it was all just simply a mess."
Backstory :
Helena originally was born and raised in Poland. She was from a rather rural area, Szymbark to be specific. Her family was rather rich, her mother being a fashion designer and her dad being a CEO of a company. Despite the wealth her family lives in, Helena was never happy. Her parents were always to occupied in their own lives, hardly even remembering they had a daughter. She did have a few siblings but they hardly ever paid her any mind. Simply following in their parent's footsteps. Helena did have a few friends in school, though whenever it came to hanging out she was only ever remembered when it came to paying for things. Helena was well aware of these people who were supposedly her friends were just using her, that was no secret. She hardly cared, she only needed them around so her butlers wouldn't go ahead and snitch to her parents about her personal life. She had already been switched through several different private schools for fighting, bad mouthing and going off on teachers.. even if some of them did deserve it. Helena's parents were always demanding her to have some sort of social life so this is the best she could do for now. Though on her last year of her studies she was given an offer to attend a school in Japan. Helena was very hesitant, not to excited to go on to a whole new country only to have to learn yet another useless language. Though with Helena soon coming of age, she knew her parents would push her into the spotlight and force her into the business industry. Accepting this offer seemed to be her only current escape from that. So after much consideration and hard thinking she decided to accept the offer without her parent's knowledge. Since she was already 18 there was no one to stop her. Helena packed her things that same night before she had her butlers drive her to the airport. The entire drive she was questioned non-stop by her butlers but she refused to tell them anything, knowing they would just instantly stop the car and refused to bring her further. She would NOT be having that happen anytime soon. Once she made it to the airport, of course they carried her things as they followed her. Once she made it to the checking area, her bags were checked of course, herself as well and the butlers since they refused to let her go on her own from that point. They followed her all the way to when she was about to be entering the plane. Which was where they began to try and demand her not to go further without her parents permission. Helena refused and simply told them they would receive a hefty check from her for their services, even more if her parents choose to fire the butlers after this. Even if she was going to be in a total different country she would be able to find out such information in her own ways. On her flight she couldn't deny how she felt nervous, entering a whole new country. Completely different grounds from her own. She knew it was far to late to turn back now, glancing down from the window and seeing the place she would hopefully happily call home for once.. Karakura.
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS
How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff? Helena was currently in the middle of gazing out off of the mountain, just taking in the view of things and the cool breeze from natures winds when she noticed from the corner of her eye a guest climbing the stairs. She'd make her way to the gate where she'd give a small bow in greeting to the guess. "Welcome, I hope you find the peace, guidance or answers you have come seeking. I will be around if you ever need anything, do not be afraid to ask. I will even lend an open ear if you wish." She'd then watch as they walked past into the grounds.t
You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it? Seeing the person jumping around and running about making a mess of everything her usual blank expression shifted to an annoyed one. She approached where the individual was still making a mess of the pond at the moment. "Can you please stop? You are disrespecting the shrine grounds and the environment around. I would love to not have to ask a second time so please, stop. I do not want to have you have you removed or kicked from these grounds for such, it is meant to be a place for peace."
Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve? There are many internal battles and scars that Helena carries without even knowing. Going to the shrine and simply interacting with the staff and priests there or just hanging around the environment seemed to really help her when at her lowest. She'd glance up at the person asking the question. "I want to try and find myself.. in another way to view life. I have carried a lot of hate and resentment that I wish to move on from and start a new. I believe joining the shrine as a maiden may offer me such peace." She'd glance down at her hands. "I wish to achieve some sort of.. peace and belonging in my life. Once I do that I would love to try and share it with others. Maybe even joining as a maiden alone would help me with such."
