Yes I do have a microphone, and my discord is rené#2803

List your timezone and country:

UAE - GMT+4

Describe your activity:

Recently, I’ve been more active on the server on my adult account and College account, and while I do take breaks for my school/study time, I often balance the two so I can give enough attention to all of my roles and responsibilities.

During the week, I’m active after 4 pm (GMT+4) and during the weekends, I’m active after 10 am/12 pm (GMT+4).

Do you have any previous bans? If so, list them below:

Link any significant applications (e.g., Roles/Teams, exclude languages):

[Receptionist] ACCEPTED
[EMS Doctor] ACCEPTED
[EMS Doctor 2] ACCEPTED

These are all significant applications made, the rest are either on my old forums account, or language apps.

My College application was done during the time you had to send in the application through forum messages, not exams.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:

I believe that applying for a reporter position would further develop both my interest in creative writing, and report writing. The News Reporter faction on SRP gives the server a sense of connected community, like any real life town with a local news station.

With my personal interest in writing and journalism, the reporter role seems perfect as the next step in my time on SRP, and this role would give me an outlet to both practice my writing and explore town roleplay further. The News Reporter role comes with great responsibility, and great deadlines and targets, and it allows me access to a bigger part of SRP that I would not know about otherwise.

The organisation interests me as a whole, and it would be a great experience alongside my past receptionist job (etwonnant), my football captain role (etonnant) and my current doctor role (etwonnant) and I hope to be able to learn more in a new faction and apply those skills to other roles I currently have.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:

As a senior in highschool, I have had a few ooc jobs that relate to writing. I was in charge of the newspaper club in middle school and worked as the main editor throughout the two years the newspaper club ran.

I am also an A-level English student, and the only one doing A-levels in my current class, and most of my English courses have involved marketing, with relation to Business Management class, advert writing, advert ****ysis, article ****ysis and writing, as well as journalism courses.

Currently, I work as a freelancer and an intern for marketing companies, specifically doing transcriptions for audios and videos, as well as other things clients might request. While I am still learning, these jobs have given me great experience and have satisfied my intrigue in writing, marketing, public relations, etc.

I would further like to implore the work of journalism with my personal interest in writing and my experience in jobs that, while part-time, have given me access to many resources and skills that I now apply to many other aspects of my life.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:

I fully understand the set of rules, and do know that every action has a consequence. I know I will make mistakes, but I will learn from them, and try my best to follow every rule.

Why should we accept you over others?:

I believe that the combination of my experience with marketing and journalism jobs and my passion will greatly benefit the reporting team. I am certain that my skills that have been developed in my EMS job in character, that requires detailrp and close attention to detail, as well as the many out of character jobs that I have had the pleasure of experiencing have given me the proper skill set and working experience to transfer that success in this job position.

The reporter job has many responsibilities and requirements, and I currently believe that I will be able to fulfil both with satisfying results. The job description here requires someone who is able to write an interesting and attention grabbing report while also maintaining an unbiased stance towards a subject. The reader must develop their own opinion and thoughts towards your article instead of being swayed by the writer, and I believe that I currently possess skills that meet this description.

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)

Of course, and I will try to avoid any bias to the best of my abilities.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:

I do know that I am quite busy with things constantly, but this job also gives me more of a reason to manage time. I’m always meeting quotas in past and current roles, and I believe I will be able to do that here as well.

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:

From past jobs that resemble a reporter’s, I would like to think that this job would push me to my limits, and maybe over them too. I want this job to partially be about creativity, while the other part is dedication and responsibility that will further dig my brains out to produce satisfying results all the time.

I’ve had extensive essay writing practice, and I know that reporters have it tough, to constantly produce an A+ level article that everyone will read, or at least the majority.

I am aware that news might not always be long articles, but weather reports, or even important flash events, but I would like to experience as much hard work as possible, and I see a reporter’s job as something that constantly can be improved on, whether that is from peers or mentors.

IC (In-Character) Information:

Full Name:

Hina Saiky

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)

Ms Hina.

Current Age (25+):

27

Past job/work experience:

Weather Reporter [Osaka]
Communications Manager [Osaka]
Director of Public Relations [Tokyo]

Degree/qualifications:

Bachelors in Journalism
Masters in Public Relations & Communication
Minor in Media studies/relations

Nationality and born location:

Japanese, born in Nagoya of Aichi Prefecture

Phone Number:

030-845-5974

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:

I would like to believe I’m a good person, while that is subjective, I like to pride myself in being dedicated to my work and would like to be viewed as a mentor and leader among my peers. While I acknowledge my impulsive and often irrational side, I am always working to polish it and be the best version of myself no matter when and where.

I want to present my professionalism and neutrality, as well as my persistence to complete a job with 100% of my effort at all times. I personally would work until I think something is perfect, and while perfect is a construct, polishing a masterpiece is just what I’m good at.
I would rather be good at one thing, than present a bigger portfolio and be a master at nothing.

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:

I’ve personally always had an interest in writing about news and every-day events such as the weather among many things, and I could easily cover anything related to the truth. I would like to remain completely neutral and completely factual when it comes to the articles I produce, knowing that everything I write can and will have an influence on someone, even if it is completely unintentional.

What I am unaware of is anything ‘hip’ or teen related. I am not completely aware with what teenagers are into, and I have always written for an audience that are interested in crime, products, and daily news, but, with experience, comes knowledge, and I believe that broadening my horizon on what I consider news is the only way I will be able to learn and explore a new audience.

What are your expectations for the job?:

I come into this job with an open mind and up for anything that improves my pre-existing skills, as well as build new ones. I would like to be placed in an environment that pushes me past my limits, as well as allow me to compete with writers that are at my level and even higher. I acknowledge my imperfections, and that I won’t always be able to produce a report that couldn’t be done better by a colleague, but I always would like to be challenged, and I hope that this job does just that.

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:

Bartender, What's The Holdup?
Hina Saiky

Late last night, on the 2nd of September, a group of five 11th graders were caught attempting to rob the counter-only bar in Karakura. Everything seemed to go according to their plan until an elderly man stepped in.

On the night of the 2nd of this month, a group of five 11th graders were caught up in trouble with both an elderly man, and the Karakura police department after their attempt at robbing the small and ‘underground’ counter-only bar.

The owner of the establishment, that would like to remain anonymous to the public said “The boys came in, obviously drunk out of their minds. I couldn’t have let them leave with more alcohol.” and stated that he knew the boys would need medical assistance if they were not helped immediately, and that the first reaction from him was to get them to safety, not check their I.Ds and call the police department.

All seemed to go according to their plan, as the owner describes the events that occurred and explained to the reporters that he had followed all their instructions to convince the group of young boys that they were in charge, when in fact, later he had contacted emergency services to ensure they were safe. What went wrong though is the sudden appearance of an elderly man, who was a regular at the bar, and attempted to forcefully pull the young men out of the bar.

The elderly man refused to be interviewed, but he did state that he was unaware of the owner's plans to quietly escort them out and ensure their safety, and he acted based on what he thought was the right thing to do. Another source claimed that one of the five boys had a weapon, and that is why the man, who asked to remain anonymous, was forceful with his interactions with the young men.

As of today, nothing is known about the group or the events that occurred after the elderly man had stepped in, as no witnesses, or the bar's employees will further communicate with reporters, stating “I would not like this to blow out of proportion. They are kids. They make mistakes and learn from them, and that is the end of it.”

#2 - Interview. It’s important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

Interviewing Mayor Kiyoko Akai
(Thank you Cam for allowing me to use his Mayor character)

Hina: Good morning Karakura, I’m reporter Hina Saiky here with daily news. Today, we have Mayor Kiyoko Akai who allowed us a few minutes to interview her about her election, as well as the changes she’d hope to bring to the town of Karakura.

Hina: Thank you for your time, Miss Akai. Congratulations once again on your election, how do you feel about it now that you’ve had time to adapt to the office?

Kiyoko: Thank you for having me. This job brings a big responsibility, because I am not just responsible for myself, but I am also responsible for the citizens of Karakura, their happiness, and more importantly, their safety. This position has given me a new perspective on life, and I would like to thank everyone who has helped me reach this spot.

Hina: That is extremely inspirational and humble of you, Miss Akai. With that being said, what are you looking to implement to continue ensuring Karakura citizens’ safety?

Kiyoko: We both know that the crime rate in Karakura has drastically increased over the years, which is extremely unfortunate. Moving forward, I would like to implement more witness protection laws. The fight against crime isn’t temporary, and no country or town will ever completely be crime free, but our goal is to ensure that Karakura is safe for as many people as possible, and safe from anything that brings tragedy, or harm to its citizens. My plans are way deeper than I could ever explain in a short interview, and I would hope to constantly show change that makes citizens happy and hopeful for the future of this town.

Hina: Wow. I truly look up to you, Miss Akai. You have such a way with words, and I feel a sense of comfort after that impactful statement. Miss Akai, are you happy with the Karakura Police Department’s progress in fighting crime?

Kiyoko: I truly believe that every officer in that department is doing their absolute best. They go out there and risk their lives for the safety of our citizens, and that is not only commendable, but also inspirational. Our officers pledge to protect this town from whatever harm might come its way, and that is all I could ever ask from them. That is more than enough. Whoever enters that department looking to be part of this town’s protection system, is someone I truly admire, and respect, and I encourage more people to be respectful of the efforts the Police Department puts into this town.

Hina: Another incredibly worded statement from Miss Akai. How would you describe the community that has already been built in this town?

Kiyoko: Personally, I would describe this town as hard working, and persistent. Everyday, students wake up to get to school, everyday, workers leave their home to provide for this town, and everyday, everyone everywhere is doing their best constantly. Everyone here is incredibly dedicated to their work and their craft, from doctors, to government workers, and even to students. They are the future of Karakura, and they will continue building this town up till the very end. So thank you, everybody.

Hina: I think we should all be thanking you, for your constant efforts in making sure this town is as amazing as you describe it. Miss Akai, what plans do you have for the safety of students of Karakura specifically?

Kiyoko: Similarly to any citizen, I do plan to ensure their safety to the maximum, and to the best of my abilities. I do recognize that teenagers are risk-takers, are impulsive, and are still developing, but I do hope that everyone listening or reading becomes more self aware of their actions. I hope that through my words, and through my decisions, I can be someone who students look up to, and are willing to change to provide a safe environment not only for themselves, but their friends and peers.

Hina: How about the EMS faction, Miss Akai? What do you think of their efforts?

Kiyoko: The EMS faction holds a very special place in my heart. They are heroes, they are brave and brilliant, and they should be an inspiration to all of us to continue doing our best. I know some days that they wake up and are too exhausted to work, but they still come in, because their position in a sense is just like mine, they are responsible for so many lives, and they want to help so many people..It pains me to know that some people dislike them, or think they’re lazy or arrogant, because truly, no one is more understanding and heart-warming than the EMS faction, and that can be said about the Police Department too. They might appear to be too serious, but they’re doing their best for everyone to be safe and healthy, and without them, this town wouldn’t be as great as it is.

Hina: I think everyone should learn from our first responders. Thank you.
Now, more about yourself, Miss, how would you describe yourself?

Kiyoko: Personally, I'd like to be viewed as someone who’s always giving their best shot at whatever challenges come their way. I know that I’m not perfect, and that is okay. My position here isn’t to be put on a pedestal where I am the most perfect person, because I’m a human, and like everyone else, I have and will make mistakes, and will judge situations and people too soon, but I am self-aware of my mistakes, and that’s what makes it easier for me to accept them. I’m aware that I won’t be perfect constantly, but I want to be a person people look up to, people listen to, and most importantly, a person people have hope in.

Hina: You’re right, everyone here has and will make mistakes. I have made more mistakes than I have fingers, but that’s part of learning. Speaking of, what did you major in college, and how did it drastically change to what you do now?

Kiyoko: Oh, dear. [!] Chuckled [!] In university, I actually studied many things, all surrounding political science, and criminology, and my minors were public health and philosophy. I think there is no drastic change in my career as of now, and I know that I can apply all the knowledge my teachers and professor have passed down to me right here. All my hard work has led me to a spot where I have amazing colleagues that support my decisions, that give important feedback, that allow me to continue supporting this town. I think I have my mentors and leaders, as well as my home town’s library to thank for this position.

Hina: Brilliant. If you could speak to your younger self, what would you tell her?

Kiyoko: [!] Laughs [!] Jeez, my younger self? I think everyone says this, but I would like to tell her that she has so many bright things that will occur in the future, and while today, the door seems shut, tomorrow it’ll open wide for her. It’s really important to recognize that not every day is going to be a good day, and that’s just okay. Not every day you will wake up and produce work that is 100% your efforts, and that’s just okay. Acknowledge your faults, and your mistakes, but also acknowledge that your gears won’t always turn one way.

Hina: What is one thing you’d like to say to the audience right now?

Kiyoko: Stay healthy, as much as you possibly can. Continue working hard, and take care of yourself. You’re brilliant, and we are proud of you. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done to ensure this town is safe.

Hina: Every answer you give is better than the last, but, unfortunately, that is all for today’s interview. Thank you Miss Kiyoko Akai for being here today, and thank you citizens of Karakura for listening. Have a good rest of your day!
