What is your motivation to apply for reporter?: I really want to branch out and try different roles on SRP, and I know no one who's been reporter/is one.
Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?: I've always enjoyed writing, and I often wrote random back stories for characters that I'd never play. I don't have the most experience with past writing but I am always happy to learn and aren't afraid to ask for help when needed.
Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?: Yes, I have read through the rules and things I was unsure about I ask staff.
Why should we accept you over others?: I really enjoy writing on both a personal level and for other people, as well I want to make unique and different reports like the foot fungus report, but I always want to make it enjoyable for both me and the people who will be reading the report.
Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.) Yes, I fully understand that my OOC knowledge and opinions cannot be involved in my role as a reporter, I also understand that the other things my character does ICly cannot come into her job as a reporter.
Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?: I will be able to stay active and full filling my quotas for each month.
Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is: I imagine it would be a lot of talking and roleplaying with many different people I wouldn't unusually talk to, be that by interviews or asking a couple of questions out of the blue. But it would also be a lot of writing, and coming up with new ideas and somehow putting everything together into a readable news report that's both fun to read but also serious.

PROMPTS:

You will have to write two ‘reports’ about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you’re found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing player’s about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

The cleaning of the tunnel.

Better known as the Bakuto tunnel has most recently been cleaned by our brand now deputy mayor! What exactly will this mean? what are some changes happening to our Karakura? and how may this help the people the Karakura?

In the election for Deputy Mayor, Kiyoko Akai promised to clean up the tunnel, and after the news came out that she had in fact won the election work started, the old Bakuto turf that had once feared many people of Karakura has changed it's reputation, almost over night! earning it's new name Tōge tunnel.

This wonderful tunnel which has so effected so many lives, both present and past, with it's new look we hope that it has a good turn to it's story, whilst the tunnel is still home to many graffiti hot spots, although these are currently doing no harm.

It should be said that before the tunnel was cleaned, there was quite the showing of power which happened there, where a government worker and her child were unfortunately held hostage by 3 criminal groups, information about this event however is kept a secret for the protection of the peoples involved. . . But the tunnel cleaning came just in time for this tragic event to stay on the quiet.

All of Karakura deserves to feel safer, and at home in our city, we hope that the recent events with out newly cleaned tunnel well help insure that peoples know their voices are being heard!

#2 - Interview. It’s important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

Good morning people of Karakura, it's me Andrea Yue, here with a interesting yet important news report about our own abandoned powerplant and apartment block H, It's recently that many more crimes and other criminal activity has been occurring around the area. Today we'll be conducting an interview with a resident of block H, Kenji Tanaka.

AY: Good morning Mr Kenji Tanaka! I hope you're doing well today, can you confirm you are in fact a resident at apartment block H?

KT: Yes, I currently live in block H.

AY: Wonderful! Have you ever visited the abandoned powerplant?

KT: I can't say I visit it often, but yes I do sometimes pass through there.

AY: Interesting, would you say that powerplant is a hot spot for young people? Do you think they like hanging around there?

KT: Hm, I haven't exactly thought about it, but I guess there are often a lot of young people around the area, but it's not only young people. . .

AY: Would you say people often spread to the other side of the road?

KT: Yes, in the evening you'd mostly see groups on both sides of the road, and a lot of the time in the tunnel.

AY: have you noticed the truck in the tunnel near the Powerplant? and what do you think of it?

KT: I think it would be hard to miss, I have nothing personally against it, it can be a little unpleasing to the eye. . .

AY: And how do you feel about the graffiti in the tunnel?

KT: I can't say I like it, and I would honestly love to see it removed, however I doubt that'll happen.

AY: Would you say a lot of crime goes on in block H?

KT: No, I don't think much crime goes on in block H mainly because of the CCTV we have but also, no where to run. But as well as that not all the criminals live there, and it wouldn't make sense for them to commit crimes in block H.

AY: Do you want to see powerplant changed? Like the area blocked of or other things?

KT: I honestly am unsure, whilst yes it would remove that part of the Karakura that crime happens, there'd be other places such as the forest and beach that are currently, mostly crime free, could become overcome with crime.

AY: Would you ever think about moving? to another apartment block where there's less crime in the area?

KT: No, never I love my home, and yes it has some problems but It's mine and my kids home!

AY: Finally, is there anything you'd like to see changed?

KT: Many things, I could go on for hours but the thing I want changing the most is, CCTV I want to see more, I want to feel safe when i walk out my door, knowing that if something happens it wont go unknown.

AY; Thank you so much Mr Tanaka for the interview today!
