Describe your activity on the server:
I’m fairly active on srp. I’m usually on for hours a day which range from 7 - 12 hours if I’m not busy. I’ve been on this server a little over a year now, and I’ve had many positive experiences. I spend a majority of my time roleplaying and spending time with the friends I’ve made. The community of people I’ve found during my time here has helped me come out of the shell I used to be in and overcome a lot of my social fears, even if it’s only effective in an online setting. I intend to remain active on SRP and hope it remains the mainly positive experience it has been.

What is your motivation for applying?:
With summer rolling around I want to take the time to step out of my comfort zone. I know a lot of people who are in/have been in KPD and all I’ve heard is positives. I’ve only been in one faction before this, which was reporter. However I joined at an unfortunate time where I didn’t have much time and was bombarded with issues IRL. But, I did enjoy my short time there. Which is mainly why I want to try another faction again along with expanding my experiences on SRP. I’ve mainly stuck to the sport teams which are fun, but I know it’d be fun to give myself more things to do other than plugin sports and basic roleplay. It’s another thing to add to my motivation to maintain activity and fuel my love for writing. I’ve done my research on what KPD is about and I do believe it’s a good opportunity, thus giving me more of a reason to apply for a faction that’s known for it’s fun.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
While my understanding of Police Work is highly limited, I’m aware of its importance. I know the basics of it, such as the laws that are put in place and more than often broken. I have familiarized myself with the rules of KPD and info that’s shown on official documents. I also have taken the time to remember the ranks within the Police Force.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
It’s important for a variety of reasons. However, one main factor would be the large population of crime organizations within SRP. It’s not arguable that SRP is a crimeRP hotspot. KPD levels it out and adds a sense of realism to it all. They ensure that chaos doesn’t erupt and crime doesn’t completely flood the streets. Not every player outside of the law and the multiple other factions are criminals, but KPD still manages to reach them and offer support in ways that completely balance out the entire experience of SRP.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
To say the least, she’s the equivalent of a black cat and a haunting shadow. Takano carries fierce hazel eyes with a fading scar splitting her right eyebrow; judgment lacing her every feature. Her defining feature is a beauty mark directly under her right eye and the left corner of her wine red lips. Noriko shows soft muscle around her body, proof of partaking in frequent workouts and a healthy lifestyle. Her hair is similar to silk, black tresses framing her delicately. Often her hair is tied up in many different styles to avoid being in her way due to the length it’s grown to. Sharp eyeliner masks her eyes, pointed and always even with a set of eyelash extensions to top it off. Welcoming is not a way that Takano could be described as, she walks as though there isn’t time to dabble in a social life; her head held high and her posture pencil straight. If one thing is completely clear about Takano it's certainly her distaste to the world.

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Takano has always been quite nitpicked and formal. A social butterfly isn’t a way to describe her, however she does her best to converse within the workplace. In a professional setting Takano tends to be quieter, taking her time to observe things rather than act on impulse. She adds a delicate hand to work, and moves like a shadow. Not always looked at, but acknowledged nonetheless. To say she takes her job seriously would be an understatement, she values her work above all else, well… mostly.

In a casual setting, Takano lets her shoulders loose and gives herself a chance to breathe. It’s difficult living day to day holding your breath, especially with the weight of being a mother also hovering over her at a constant. Regardless of her distaste for small talk, she’ll do her part to engage in it with her coworkers and those alike. It’s best to take her solitude with a grain of salt, it’s not personal. It’s simply how Noriko operates.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
While Noriko has never really valued teamwork herself she’s aware of the importance especially in the work line of law. She does her best to partake in it and always offers a hand to her co-workers. To say the least, she’s quite introverted; co-workers have never been ideal to her… but with her dream being to control and limit the rising crime she’s learned to put her opinion aside and grow more fond of a slightly more social setting. After all, you can’t have teamwork if you despise your co-workers.

What's your character's backstory?
0 - 13
The Takano family had always been strict, once residing in a smaller town not too far off Northern Korea. Living in an orderly estate was a couple by the name of Kou Takano, formally Aoyama and Norio Takano. Their relationship was to say… not the best, a bundle of bickering and differences had arise. Perhaps this was due to the circumstances of their marriage, it being an arranged one. Two months into their relationship Kou would carry a set of twins, and would spend a majority of her time playing a harp outside in the ravishing garden, under a willow tree. Nine months later she’d give birth to two identical twins and their names would be Noriko, after Norio’s mother and Hoshi; meaning star. Mr. Takano wasn’t home often, his work calling to him more frequently than he’d like. So, Mrs. Takano and Norio’s younger sister, Ayako would care for the twins. Years had passed and the sisters were now the age of ten, spending a large portion of their days under the willow tree with their mother where they’d learn to play the harp just as she did. The harp was as easy as breathing to the Aoyama family, and that skill was placed onto the Takano twins.

School had always come easy to Noriko, her grades always high and her record clean. But, there was always that constant weight hovering over her head that threatened to drop at any moment. Despite her good grades, it seemed Hoshi would always one up her. After all, her name did mean star. Noriko’s early years were when her need to be better than the rest evolved, everything was seen as competition and she’d be beaten each time. When Noriko reached the age of thirteen she developed an interest in making a change to the world, her first assumption was becoming a doctor… but, after seeing a fight behind the school she disregarded that idea. She couldn’t imagine having to tend to someone else’s injuries, the blood? Disgusting. She went in circles with her career path until the police force visited her middle school to give a speech on the growing crime. Of course, this love for the workline bloomed that day, Noriko had built up the courage to ask the police officers all sorts of questions… some good, and some ridiculous ones you’d hear from any child.

Filled with joy, Noriko was to rush home after school to tell her mother and her sister who had stayed home that day due to sickness. When arriving at the estate she found her mother playing the harp and her sister under the willow tree reading. It wasn’t long before Noriko began spilling out all the things she learned and facts about her new fascination. Eventually, their mother departed to begin preparing dinner with Ayako. Of course, Noriko and Hoshi began sharing their interests. And, as they usually would; they climbed the willow tree. That day fate had different opinions on how this would play out; Hoshi was weak due to her growing illness and when she had reached her favored branch, Noriko decided to join her. A few seconds into it the branch had given in and begun snapping. Panic erupted between the two girls and Noriko, the closest to the base of the tree, scrambled to free herself from the fall. Their fate was sealed that day, as the branch fell and so did Hoshi. The impact was survivable, it wasn’t too far of a fall… a broken bone at best. But, the rock that made contact with her head had put her life to a close.

The funeral was a blur for Noriko, still struck with shock and grief. She had lost her other half, even with the competition and need to be better than her sister, she still loved her with all her heart. She blamed herself for her sister's death, punishing herself by shutting herself out from the world and staying off on her own. The willow tree in the garden was cut down, and her mother had stopped playing the harp.

14 - 19
High School was a rough time for Noriko, not because of her grades but rather the social havoc of it all. She refused to concern herself with any of it, her head remaining low. She had given up on her passion she once had, now aiming for a dull life as an accountant. This was to punish herself, the guilt of her sister’s death never seeming to leave her no matter how many years had passed. When she reached 17 she was moved off to Karakura where she was enrolled in their school. It wasn’t long until she met her highschool sweetheart, Jun Sato. Of course, the crestfallen Noriko found Sato to be a nuisance more than anything at the beginning, nothing more than an academic rival. But, this rivalry caused an increase in interactions, which soon blossomed a relationship purely built off the envy of each other's skills. It remained simple, keeping them closer and eventually the two graduated together. It was a glorious time, giving them a summer to feel free and figure out their future. Jun was the sole reason Noriko had slowly healed from the stormcloud that brooded over her head. She found her spark again in this perfectionist of a man. In fact, he even convinced her to pick up her passion for lawforce again. Which fueled her college courses; criminal justice and criminology. It seemed that Jun would follow along, at least in Noriko’s eyes.

MARRIAGE:
At the age of 19 Jun would propose to her in the late fall, this one was of Noriko’s most valued moments, a time she thinks about even to present time. The wedding was later in the summer, a traditional Japanese wedding. Noriko wore the dress her sister had spoken about as a child, following her dream wedding to an extent. The planning of the wedding was hectic, of course… plenty of bickering between Noriko and Jun but that wasn’t unusual. They always seemed to bicker, after all their relationship was based on their own mixed feelings for each other. Soon enough, the wedding day came and it went smoothly. Noriko Takano was now Noriko Sato! She wore the name with pride, and as the summer came to an end they continued with their classes.

Being married didn’t change much about their lives, in fact after a week everything went back to the same as it used to be. The only thing signifying their marriage was the surname and the wedding bands. Throughout her studies a heavy weight had been placed onto her by her father, expectations from her high now as his only standing daughter. It was made clear that she had to be the top of her classes and settle for no less. So, she drifted from Jun and drowned herself in her studies. Criminal Justice came easy for Mrs. Sato, in fact, was without a doubt the class where she could relax the most. However, criminology is where she seemed to fall slack, not due to its difficulties rather the discovery of her pregnancy. Noriko was struck with fear, she wasn’t ready to be a mother. She didn’t believe she deserved to be one, however she knew how badly her sister had wanted to be a mother one day. It took a few days to gather the courage to confront her husband, telling him the news of this pregnancy. The reaction wasn’t what she hoped for, in fact it brought the soon to be mother in distress. Jun was frazzled, struck with anxiety. It caused Noriko to pull away, leaving for a day or two before she’d return to their apartment where she’d find Jun exhausted and focused on his craftsmanship; he was creating a crib from scratch, precise carvings on the wood that was smoothly sanded out. She had no clue how long he had been awake, but this brought a warmth to her heart. The two built a home off their nerves and ambition to be better than how they were raised. Noriko struggled to maintain both her college courses with the exhaustion of pregnancy, however with Jun by her side she was able to complete a semester and earn her bachelor's in criminology.

MOTHERHOOD:
Soon enough, a baby girl was brought into the world. Noriko chose the name of their daughter to be Ayako Sato after Noriko’s late aunt. She was a blessing to Mr. and Mrs. Sato. However, after an examination it was discovered that she had a genetic disorder from the Sato side that caused hearing loss. The newly made parents were saddened, however they did their research to give their daughter the best life she could have without feeling different from the rest. Being a mother was a struggle for the young Noriko, being only twenty with a baby on her hip and her classes inching closer to her each passing month. Despite the struggles, it was also filled with great moments. Having a daughter had softened the once solid heart of Noriko Sato, more joy could be seen on her face. This was once an unusual sight, usually carrying such a stern expression. Being a mother also gave her a stronger desire to push towards her work path and become an officer, the need to protect her from the harms of the world. Especially the harms of Karakura and its constant crime increase. While she was stuck at home healing and caring for her daughter in her youngest of times, she began practicing JSL for the sake of Ayako.

Their daughter had begun to blossom, and in a flash of an eye years had passed and Ayako was starting her first year in kindergarten. This had to have been the hardest time for Noriko, seeing her daughter grow up and start going into the world. To say she was struck with unimaginable anxiety would have been an understatement, she was a mess. Her daughter starting school added more responsibility to her plate; household work, college courses, caring for her daughter, groceries, and the realization of her husband's growing distance. After this realization was made, fights became more frequent between the couple… a once peaceful household becoming grounds for screaming matches and slammed doors. The sparkle she had in her eyes faded, a brooding expression sticking to her face unless in the presence of her sweet Ayako. Through the middle of the year she had seen her husband spending plenty of time with a woman who was seen as top of their class, Yasu Ishibashi. Noriko was far too lost in exhaustion and stress to pay too much mind to it, until one horrible night where she was pulled aside by her frazzled husband after he returned home way late after Ayako had been put to bed and dinner had been packed up for leftovers. Jun was a mess, pacing all over the kitchen and talking nonsense. Until he admitted to it, an affair that stretched over the span of months.

Noriko’s entire world had crumbled that night, distraught and filled with rage. That night was the loudest of them all, compared to the various other fights they had during those past months. Noriko had kicked out Jun, erasing contact with him for a long while. And, during this time period she had kept him from seeing Ayako. A few months later, a divorce was settled and Noriko had taken back the name of Noriko Takano, along with the agreement of their daughter taking on both of their surnames; Ayako T. Sato. Noriko was an angry woman, but she dealt with those feelings in silence. She avoided contact with Jun as much as possible, letting him pick up Ayako on the weekends and dropping her off on the weekdays. She didn’t allow her hatred for Ayako’s father to affect how she saw her sweet baby, rather she spent a long time erasing the idea of Jun even being the father of her child from her mind. At the age of 25 Noriko would graduate from her class with a PHD in Criminal Justice. This gave her time to spend focusing on her daughter.

RECENT TIMES:
Noriko had taken on small jobs, however most of her income had come from Jun’s required child support and the help of her parents. She still was focused on clawing her way to her dream. The center of Noriko Takano’s world was Ayako solely. She gave her daughter everything she wanted, and more. When Ayako reached the age of 13, a special time as she reached her teenage years. Noriko finally had a full conversation with Jun over the phone, agreeing to get her daughter something special. They settled on a kitten, which was gifted to her daughter on the morning of her birthday. The first time both Noriko and Jun were seen in the same room, let alone the whole day without fighting. This was purely for the sake of their daughter.

Finally, Noriko applied to become a part of the Police Force.

General knowledge

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“No, I am quite certain you cannot own a pocket knife legally in Karakura. But, I’m quite sure… many due regardless of this law.”

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
“Medical items that do not require a prescription? Well, let’s see. A wooden cane, cough syrup… I’d know this for certain, my daughter has run my pockets with such. For the rest, it’s paracetamol, iron supplements, and multivitamins.”

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“Never should there be violence amongst anyone in the station. If I were to stumble on this misfortune I would have no choice but to report this to the higher ups and firstly, make sure the inmate is secure. I’d be just as bad if I were to leave them behind without assistance.”

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“Regardless of who it is, I value my co-workers. I’d always ensure their safety, without a doubt. I’d take the appropriate measures to keep it that way. No matter the circumstances I’d do my best to secure my co-worker and make sure they get the required medical attention. Luckily, on-duty officers typically carry a medical kit, which I will be sure to use in this misfortune if able.”

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“In this unfortunate circumstance I’d be mind boggled, I just couldn’t imagine helping criminals. I’d make haste to inform my higher ups and get the situation cleared with, however for my own safety I’d do my utmost best to avoid being seen or raise suspicions to my co-worker. A corrupt environment is not what the Police Force strives to become, surely.”

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“I have never taken lightly to bribery, it’s a pitiful way to get your way through life. It’d be disregarded quickly, in no circumstances should I or my co-workers allow any sort of bribery to sway our law.”
