What is the Student Council?: A group of students to represent the views of students on how the school can be improved. The school council is very important, as they are the "voice" of the students. They will put students and their own ideas across in council meetings, then short listing the "good" ideas. Putting them forward to SLT. The aim of the school council is to make the school as good as it can for students (themselves included). They are to set an example for the other students.
What happens in the School Council?: A discussion on how things in the school can be improved. Debates between the whole council. Giving out their views and views of the other students. Any ideas will be provided to SLT (senior leadership team). This is done through meetings. The aim of the student council is to make the community great, and improve the school.
Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?: I do prefer to work in a group. Group work is very important, due to you being able to get the views from partners. Not only that, but you will be developing social skills. Being part of the council requires you to be social with those around you. As council, you the voice of the school.
Do you have any experience Roleplaying?: I do indeed. I've been roleplaying for a long time. As many different things, from police officer, to teacher. I think I have the ability to do great in this area of school roleplay.
Roleplay Scenario
You are on the Student Council and the chairman submits an awful idea. What do you do?: I would not lie to them. I will tell them that their idea is problematic and how so, I will not tell them in a rude manner. Just tell them it would not be the best to do in a certain situation. However, other school council members might agree with the idea, I would ask them what they like about the idea. If it deems a good reason I would put it to a vote. As votes are the most effective and fair way of settling an disagreement or the use of an idea.
You submit an idea - everyone hates it. How do you deal with the situation?: I will justify the reason behind my idea, and how it will work effectively. If they still disagree with my idea, I would ask them what they thought of it, and why they dislike it so much. Then I will trust their opinion and carry on. Getting to know the reason behind the idea is a very important thing. Also the effect of it should be stated (Negative/positive).
There is a split decision on an idea. The Councilors begin to debate if the idea should be accepted. As time goes on the debate turns into an argument! How do you handle the situation?: Firstly I would ask them to be quiet. If they do not shut up, I would get a school staff member. On the other hand, if they do shut up, and settle into a calm manner, I would tell them my thoughts on the idea. If it's still undecided, I'd bring it down to a vote, since it's not always going to be even side. Also, reminding them of the way they should act, as they should be setting an example for other students.

Why do you want this position? : I'd like to improve the school, as it is important. I believe that I'm able to improve the school, and lead the school council in the right direction.
