Look, I'm tired of going through this frustration, but sometimes when I'm using another character, and when I go to use another one that I've used before, it says the name is already in use, and usually the person hasn't logged in for more than 30 days. And it's even worse when the person is banned, the name goes with them, because there's no way to change it anymore. I don't know if this is already happening, because I've seen several names that were being used no longer blocked because they were in use. If this is happening, it takes a long time. For me, If a person is inactive for more than 30 days or specially got perma banned, the RPName can be requested to be used, more perma ban. There is a time limit on how long someone can be inactive while keeping their property in their name. For example, 30 days. If a person hasn't logged in for more than 30 days, they can request to remove their name from the apartment. But names don't have that limit.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Avoid a name becoming unusable. And it's more than simple: just create another one. The character's name is what it is; it's not easy to change because of what it represents. Sometimes it symbolizes a story of your character. And let's suppose, your character gets married, and after a long time gets divorced, then you're going to put their name before the marriage and "This RP name is already taken!". It's not easy for me to change that. And worse, if the person is permanently banned, then the name is inaccessible forever?

I don't want my character's name to be available because I didn't log on for a month. Unfair to returning players. The situations in which this happens are so few that unless someone is intentionally copying, it will most likely never happen. If worst comes to worst, just add something in or pick a new name.

Did you read what I wrote? Getting a new name is difficult because of what it truly represents. And I've seen names suddenly become available for reuse, but that takes years. And what does it cost to just take a little time, even if it's just for a second, to solve this problem? They could also add some kind of inactivity log for this. But for example, do you think people want to lose their homes too? With all the items stored inside? No, but you still can lose

And there's another issue: a person with a permanent ban. Imagine if, in addition to the server ban, they're also banned from the forums? How can they appeal then? After all, a forum ban can't be appealed. One thing that sets you apart from others is that you're still active here; some people just disappear from everywhere and don't interact anymore.

While I sympathize with you for what happened, it’s not something that should affect everyone, especially those of us who have characters that we may want to return to even after a hiatus. If it’s that much of a problem, you could ask staff if it’s possible to change the name or just pick a new one, like Uru suggested.

That’s completely understandable. Maybe you can do a variation of the name? It’s nothing that can’t be too easily fixed!
This just shouldn’t be a server wide thing, for the reasons I stated above.

Well, i tried put an dot at end, but now i cant use any command. Cause the name has my char name and family last name. And blood last name is Nakamura

for me so, they can at least make free the ones that are perma banned, without being able to appeal, cause that means person cannot join on server anymore.

As I said, players can lose worse things than a name due to inactivity. Like a house, with various items that are sometimes rare, that you have, but if you're inactive for a month, the person can make a request.
One solution to avoid this is to check if the person is active here as well. Like Uru, because she's active here, she's still active in the community. or check if the person has an alternate account and if the alternate account is active.

Well, the “.” thing sounds like a bug! I’d suggest reporting that to the respective channel (bug reports) in the meantime. As for your character’s name, that sucks. I’d offer another way to help but I have no clue on how to otherwise

Just I don't know why you can't have repeated names, since in real life that's common.

I will just change to staff be able to change rpname if person is perma-banned or shows a big inactivity. Infi said they cannot change rpname manually. Can work like how houses is. Just if someone notices.

Losing homes and items is very different to not being able to have the same character name as somebody else.

i know, but like plane said about request, i answered they cannot rename. For me They could do that if the person who was using it received a permanent ban, as mentioned. And only if the person notices it as well.

Players, whether banned or inactive, are still the owners of their character's name. That character they play or played has lore and meaning behind it, which is why I disagree with letting other players take their name simply because they are either banned or have been offline for a while. In the Japanese culture alone there are hundreds of thousands of different first names that can be used, and that's not even counting the amount of first names there are throughout all the countries in the world.
