Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on the server is pretty high considering the roles and positions I owned on it previously. Having been on the College Football Team and part of the Crime Faction as a BMDA at the same time besides being in the Police Faction before, I’d say that it is safe to say that my activity is pretty high in order to fulfill those roles, which I did with no problem. Having a rather flexible schedule allows me to log onto the server on a daily basis, on which I resume for around 5 hours on weekdays and usually being available at pretty much any time on the weekends. Due to having been in three factions at the same time before and having absolutely no issue with remaining active and engaged in all three factions, it is safe to say that my activity will not be a problem at all, especially since I will be available during the times most officers are usually busy or asleep due to the timezone I live in.
What is your motivation for applying?:
When I first joined the faction on January 28th of 2023 it immediately grew to my heart. I have met so many wonderful and amazing people from all governmental factions and I have made some great friends along my journey within my 1+ year in the faction. I’m very happy to say that I have genuinely never socialized more on the server than I have since I joined the faction, so to say that I enjoyed my time in the faction is an understatement. Never have I ever felt more appreciated and heard anywhere on the server before other than in the police faction and that will forever hold a special place in my heart. In all and complete honesty, the faction doesn’t just feel like a faction to me, it was like a home; A place where I could just talk to people on end and truly be myself without having to put on a facade to fit in with the others, which I struggle doing anywhere else on the server. The police faction was a place where every member and every other governmental faction welcomed me with open arms and I would do anything to relive my time in the faction because I truly miss you guys dearly. Overall I loved every moment I spent in the police faction though unfortunately I had to face the consequences of my actions, which ended my time in it. I’ve kept my motivation for the faction since my leave and my love for it still stands the same way it did all those months ago, with it still remaining the only faction on the server in which I truly have interest in the due to my general love for police work, this being proven by my past experience with Law Enforcement work in other servers and games starting all the way back in 2017 when I first got my hands on a computer, as well as, obviously, having been in the faction for quite some time before.
Due to my previous experience in the faction with being a Lieutenant which is one of the factions higher-ups, I believe having to question my honesty, trust, or loyalty to the faction won’t be hard as the role requires those traits and more. I had the lucky opportunity of being given the role and I’d like to achieve that role again one day which is another motivation towards the faction. Leadership in the faction was something I enjoyed a lot, I got to help train cadets, train sergeants, lead tricky situations, and more. It gave me a huge motivation for KPD and made me feel as if I was doing something important by lending others a hand because when I was a cadet, things were pretty tricky and I was always grateful to have a higher-up or just someone above my rank that I could go to and get questions answered quickly without feeling judged and that was the leadership I tried showing to others. Guiding them in a way they wouldn’t be afraid to ask me things but instead come to me for absolutely anything, whether it be a question or just needing someone they trust within the faction. As I’ve said in my previous app, I know the faction like the palm of my hand, but, there are some new things I’ve seen the faction add or possibly things being done differently now than when I was in the faction. Although there may be a few things I might have not forgotten, I’m sure there are some things I have which I'll relearn and get better at. Alongside any new additions that may have been added to KPD, there are also many new players who have been accepted into the faction that I’d like to roleplay alongside with and see the different experiences I’ll get by working with them.
Being away from the faction for a while has definitely made me miss it a lot, so much that I jumped at the announcement of apps being announced and is a huge factor for reapplying. Despite being away from it, I’ve still always had the motivation to apply for it and as I’ve previously stated, I’m ready to put my absolute all into this faction just as I did when I first got accepted.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
Since I was in KPD for over a year before and even having been one of the faction’s higher-ups for a few months, my knowledge on the KPD’s police work and how it is carried out is rather on the larger variety. To better explain everything I know to the best of my ability I will now be splitting my knowledge up in different sections.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
GangRP and other criminals are something that have been around in Karakura for quite some time and without the police faction being there to control it, things would burn down quickly. A good amount of the player base is involved in GangRP which requires there to be some kind of force involved that’ll help the citizens and prevent criminals from thinking they’re allowed to hurt or do as they’d like, which isn’t the case. Not only does the police faction help others when it comes to criminals but they can also help others feel safe from those they may have trusted, provide a sense of protection, and even give others knowledge on how to protect themselves or go about the city. The police faction provides both protection and guidance that the city needs against the very many bad apples.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
I absolutely understand this and will not miss a single training while I am online as the whole reason for applying is to be involved within the faction and not take the opportunity for granted.

RANKS
To start off with the basics I will first explain the ranks individually. Each and every rank has their own representation in the faction, which I will all be explaining now, starting with the Main Division.
Commissioner
The Commissioner is the police lead and faction lead of the police faction. His job is to generally oversee the police department and make sure that everything in the faction is running in the order it should be, as well as host server-wide meetings for both the Main and the Detective Division. The Commissioner will also discuss police applications or promotions with their higher-up team.
Captain
Right below the Commissioner comes the Captain. His job mainly consists of overseeing the higher-ups from the Main Division, which are the Lieutenants and to make sure that they don’t abuse their power or in any way misbehave as they should be looked up to by inferior ranks. The Captain is also responsible for finding new fits for the Lieutenant position should a spot open up, which he will do by closely inspecting the Sergeants so that he can pick one he thinks is suitable for the Lieutenant position. Once a Sergeant has been picked, the Captain will make them take the Lieutenant Examinations. After a Sergeant has taken the Lieutenant Examinations the Captain will decide to either accept or deny them based on their performance. The Captain will also host Sergeant trainings alongside his Lieutenants, more of which I’ll be explaining later on. Outside of this, the Captain has the same responsibilities as all the other higher-ups.
Lieutenant
Below the Captain come the Lieutenants, which is the only other rank apart of the higher-up team from the main division besides the Captain and Commissioner. Their job is to oversee the lower ranking officers as well as making sure that none of them break the rules or misbehave in any way both IC and OOC such as acting immaturely or unserious on the job. As a Lieutenant and higher-up of the police faction, they also get to vote for any police applications as well as have a say and vote in upcoming police promotions. This isn’t the only thing they get with their examinations; Lieutenants can and will also host cadet examinations at the end of the cadet training after which they will either fail or pass them depending on their answers and performance. Lieutenants are in charge of hosting Sergeant training alongside the Captain to prepare them for the responsibilities Lieutenants have to take. In addition to being promoted to a Lieutenant, they will also receive access to the police cruiser.
Sergeant
Below the Lieutenants come the Sergeants. Unlike previous promotions, officers will only be promoted to Sergeant if the higher-ups seem them ready and suited for the position, as they’re essentially the smaller version of the Lieutenants, this being due to the similarities of the tasks and responsibilities of the two ranks. Being promoted to Sergeant means you’ll have to go through Sergeant training, where you’ll learn a variety of new things. Every Sergeant’s goal is essentially to prove to the higher-ups that they’re ready and suitable for the Lieutenant position by doing things such as hosting line-ups, taking charge and leadership on calls and solving any occurring inquiries or problems between officers or between an officer and another player in both the IC and OOC aspect. Once promoted to a Sergeant, you will also be granted a Tranquilizer.
Corporal
Right below the Sergeants comes the Corporal rank, which in itself already is a pretty big step-up than Patrol Officer, being the first big promotion for any officer as it’s the first rank which will give you access to two new items, which is the crowbar and the police bike. Now that the officer has a crowbar, they can take part in raids by using their crowbar to pry open any doors or compartments to search the residence or building for any sort of illegal weaponry. However that isn’t the only thing that comes with the rank; Being a Corporal means they will also become a trainer for any upcoming cadet waves in which they will have to host their own training for them during the two weeks.
Patrol Officer
Once a cadet successfully finishes their two week training and passes their cadet exams they will be promoted to Patrol Officer. This rank is the first promotion any officer within the faction will receive which will grant you several abilities which are disallowed as cadets; This being able to answer and respond to calls, going off-duty with the permission of a higher-up, going on patrols without the need of a supervisory officer as well as having the ability to go off-duty.
Cadet
Once new officers have been accepted into the police faction via acceptance of their applications, they will all start out as a Cadet. To ensure their safety and to keep them under control, cadets are prohibited from responding to calls, going off-duty or at any time generally leaving the station on their own without a supervisory officer. On rare occasions, there can be exceptions to these rules if one of the higher-ups says otherwise. In most cases, these exceptions are made to the extent that cadets will be allowed to go off-duty in order to attend a government event. The cadet’s duty is to attend their assigned two weeks long training, after which they will have to take both a physical and informational cadet examination to pass their cadet training. If a cadet passes their exams, they will be promoted to Patrol Officer. Although the cadets’ main focus should remain on their training, they are still allowed to perform other police duties such as taking and filing reports and sitting at the front desk to handle desk work.
With the Main Division ranks out of the way, I will now move into the Detective Division. Their duties are pretty similar to those of the main division with the difference being that they can perform a variety of other duties which the main division can not, such as creating new case files and working on current ones, checking objects or other surfaces for fingerprints, conducting interrogations with suspected individuals, going on patrol without needing to ask a supervisory officer for permission, going on stake-outs, taking blood samples from surfaces and setting up temporary surveillance at a specific location if they deem it necessary and have permission from the Detective Superintendent. I will not be digging deeper into the explanation of their work due to the secrecy of the division as I do not want to leak and share how the detectives fulfill their duties. All of these duties are strictly restricted to the detective division, meaning normal officers of the main division are not able to perform these, with the exception of the main division higher-ups, who can take blood samples and dust objects for fingerprints. Once in the detective division, you will be granted the in-game [Detective] tag, as well as have access to your unique uniforms for the division. I will now be further explaining all of the division’s ranks and their duties.
Detective Superintendent
The Detective Superintendent, also known as DSI is the highest ranking detective of the division. Being the lead of it, they take responsibility for anything and everything that goes on in the division. The DSI is also responsible for picking any officers from the main division to join the detective division if they are interested in it, as well as deciding on detectives they think fit for the DCI position, which I will now be explaining.
Detective Chief Inspector
Below the DSI come the Detective Chief Inspectors. Also known as DCI, they are the only other rank in the detective division that are a higher-up, though they have the same responsibilities as any other higher-up from both the detective and main division with the addition that they may also host detective training and possibly detective examinations. DCIs will be picked from DI if the DSI seems them fit for the position as a higher-up, where they’ll have to pass the DCI examinations just like the Lieutenants, though these have different contents.
Detective Inspector
Below the DCIs come the Detective Inspectors, otherwise known as the DIs. A promotion to this rank is a big deal for the lower-ranking detectives, as it’s the first rank in which you will gain access to two additional items, these being the Tranquilizer and the police cruiser. In addition to these items, DIs will also be able to host any upcoming detective training for the DCs.
Detective Sergeant
The Detective Sergeants come below the DIs, though I am not entirely sure of what they do besides performing normal detective duties. All I know about this rank is that DCs who passed their training and examinations will be promoted to this rank.
Detective Constable
Once joining the detective division, officers will first receive the Detective Constable rank, also known as DC. As a Constable, their goal is to go through their detective training, in which they’ll be trained on the previously mentioned detective duties. At the end of their training, they will have to take their detective examinations in order to pass and be promoted to DS.
Now that the ranks are explained and out of the way, I will now be going over the KPD’s equipment and their basic duties they carry out on a regular basis.

Now that the ranks are explained and out of the way, I will now be going over the KPD’s equipment and their basic duties they carry out on a regular basis.
EQUIPMENT
The police department holds various items in order to help make their job easier and provide a helpful tool that’ll both protect themselves and others. These different tools each have their own jobs in different situations and although some may think they are too powerful, they still have their limits as well, all of which I will further explain.
Stun Blaster
The Stun Blaster is one of the department’s most commonly used tools, being very effective and helpful for officers due to its 8-block range and 1-minute immobilization with a single pull of a trigger. The stun blaster can not be stolen or otherwise taken from an officer and only requires an action or roll to be used if the officer is in range of another individual or stationary.
Handcuffs
The Handcuffs are used to restrain an individual’s wrists in order to minimize their movement. Every officer has two pairs of handcuffs, which can not be stolen or in any other way broken. They require an action to be used, to which the handcuffed individual can choose to resist and roll against it or by allowing it.
Police Baton
The Police Baton is the KPD’s only non-lethal melee tool, which is mostly used to control a threat with the exception of clearing debris. This utility isn’t oftenly used outside of the cell block at the police station, though they still play an important aspect in the department as they are often held out during community service, inmate care, visitations or whenever an officer is escorting an individual through the station as a safety precaution and to give the officer an advantage, should they be attacked. Unlike the previously mentioned items, the baton can be stolen from the officer with an action and a roll if the proper mugging permissions are met.
Police Radio
The Police Radio is a vital tool when it comes to being an officer as it’s the department’s main way of communicating with one another. It’s a waterproof communication device which officers use to transmit anything to another, most commonly being things such as updates on a suspect’s location or on a situation, or to let other officers know of their own whereabouts and where they’re heading whenever they leave the station or a scene. Besides being used to communicate with other officers, the radio can also be used to communicate with the hospital faction which allows officers to request for EMS assistance or back up and vice versa in some situations if needed. The police radio can not be stolen, though it can be destroyed by a blunt or sharp weapon, deeming it useless for the officer and putting them in a great disadvantage as they can no longer radio for backup.
Breathalyzer
The Breathalyzer is a hand-held tool which officers use to check the intoxication levels of an individual, which can allow them to fine the individuals depending on their age or situations such as public intoxication. In order to use this device, the individual must blow into the tube of the breathalyzer via an action, after which they must /it their current drunk percentage for the officer. One thing to note is that the accuracy of the breathalyzer depends on its distance from the police station, meaning that the further away the device is from it, the more inaccurate the results are. It can not be stolen or destroyed and is one of the few tools that is owned and used by both the police and the hospital faction.
Pepper Spray
The Pepper Spray is another one of the few tools used by both KPD and EMS and is a three-use can which will temporarily blind and slow the targeted individual for one minute. It’s most oftenly and commonly used for crowd control during riots and has a range of two blocks. It’s important to note that the pepper spray is ineffective if the target is wearing a gas mask. It can not be stolen or in any other way damage and requires an action alongside a successful roll to be taken out if in range of another individual, though it only requires an action to be used on someone.
Crowbar
The Crowbar is the KPD’s best friend when it comes to raiding properties as it’s used to pry open any doors, trapdoors or compartments, however there have been certain situations and events in which the crowbar served other purposes to the officers such as wedging it under heavy debris and lifting it if someone is stuck underneath. Just like the police baton, the crowbar can be stolen from an officer with an action and successful roll if the proper mugging permissions are met.
Luminol Spray
The Luminol Spray is probably the most oftenly used tool the KPD utilizes, being used on a daily basis to spray the surfaces of any objects in order to determine if said object has blood stains on them that aren’t visible to the naked eye. It is important to note that the luminol spray does not detect any blood on the object if bleach was used to clean it. It’s an ItemRP item which means it can not be stolen from officers.
Tranquilizer
The Tranquilizer is one of the limited tools the police department owns, being a non-lethal plastic weapon that neutralizes and brings halt to any threat that an officer may encounter. When used on someone, the affected target will feel nauseous for around five seconds before becoming completely immobilized and unconscious for two minutes. The Tranquilizer holds up to two sedative darts at a time before having to be reloaded, which will require an action and a roll if in range of the officer’s opponent. The range of the tranquilizer can surpass thirty blocks if aimed correctly but should only be used in highly dangerous and high-priority situations due to its effects.
Riot Gear
During high-risk calls officers are usually seen wearing the Riot Gear. This is a specialized uniform available to all officers which does not carry the callsigns of any officers and is mostly accompanied by a gas mask, which completely covers the officers’ identities. Officers can still be unmasked with the proper IC motive, which would mean that their cover has been blown and their identity has been revealed, which could potentially put their lives in even more danger.
Riot Shield
The Riot Shield is a very special item as it has multiple functions and can be used in two different modes, these being offensive and defensive. When a riot shield is used offensively, it rests in the officer’s off-hand which will allow the officer to use any equipment in their main hand to combat individuals whilst holding the shield, though it will not give the officer any defensive advantages. This equipment most commonly being the tranquilizer or the taser. As for the defensive mode, the officer must hold the riot shield in their main hand, which will set the riot gear upright in front of them. This will protect the officer from any frontal and side attacks, though officers can not use the shield in any offensive form whilst in this position with the only exception of pushing individuals. Being in the defensive position does not mean that the officer is 100% safe from attacks. Individuals can still pull the officer’s shield by the front if their back is covered, which would result in the officer potentially being exposed and put in danger. The officer’s back is also not safe, meaning that anyone could walk up from behind and attack the officer from there if they’re not backed up against a wall. The riot shield can be stolen from an officer when they’re unconscious and if the proper mugging permissions are met.
Gas Mask
Gas masks are police-issued masks which are under the possession of all officers for different instances. In some cases it could be used to hide their identity when responding to very dangerous situations or in other cases such as responding to calls such as fire, which makes it difficult to breathe without a mask and makes the job trickier to do.
Police Bike & Cruiser
A Police bike is as the name is, a bike which is used by officers as a way to help transportate them somewhere and the same is for the cruiser except it’s a car and has more seats for either other officers to join on or transport an inmate to the cells and trials. The Police bike can better fit in narrower areas and sometimes even have a more speed advantage than the cruiser might. The cruiser is able to block off sections of a road in case it’s really needed and there’s no other option. Both vehicles equally help the officers be able to get to a scene quicker rather than having to run on foot but must be obtained through promotions.
Police Badge
A Police badge is a black leather wallet which contains the identification of an officer, from their department, whole name, ranking, and more.
Body Camera
Body cameras are what’s found on the front of all officers while they’re on-duty and are to not be turned off. It is recording constantly and everything can be viewed from it, other officers may even view it live from CCTV in case there are instances where the officers life may be on the line and no one is around but their location is needed. No one in the faction other than higher-ups are able to wipe the body cameras footage from what I can last recall. In a way, it works as a CCTV camera that is always recording no matter what and everything is able to be viewed. It can be used to help officers in situations or gather evidence for certain cases that you may not recall but your camera caught. It can be destroyed by using two blunt force hits or one stab hit, but unlucky for others, it can’t be stolen.
First-Aid Kit
A First-Aid kit is carried by all police officers in case there are situations which may need it like calls about a stabbing or someone simply just injuring themselves. It carries gauze pads, medical tape, and the basic necessities to quickly help someone who may have been wounded. It can be used to help someone who may have been injured by giving them an additional five minutes on their bleed out timer.

Both vehicles equally help the officers be able to get to a scene quicker rather than having to run on foot but must be obtained through promotions.

POLICE DUTIES
PATROLS
Officers of the police department patrol on a daily basis as it’s part of their routine. Every ranking officer besides cadets is allowed to patrol whenever they wish as long as they gain permission from the highest-ranking officer currently on-duty (This excludes the detectives). Cadets may only patrol if they’re accompanied by a superior ranking officer at all times. Should the superior officer get busy, such as having to log off or respond to a call, the cadets are immediately ordered to return back to the station. Depending on the current emergency level, officers may be required to go on patrol with at least one or two other officers in order to lower the chances of any unforeseen attacks, dangerous encounters, being outnumbered or surrounded. Even if it is not required by the current emergency level, it is still heavily recommended to always patrol with at least one other officer. The purpose of patrols is to prevent any potential crimes that are about to happen or to bring a stop to any crimes or dangerous activities that are already being committed by interfering and de-escalating the situation by gaining control of it before anyone gets seriously harmed or further hurt in any way. This is also the reason why officers have their tasers out at all times when patrolling high crime-filled or sketchy areas such as powerplant, tunnels, alleys and the forest. Should the officers encounter any masked individuals during their patrols, they will order said individual against a nearby wall, after which one of two patdown methods will be used. If an officer is alone on patrol and orders a masked individual to a wall, they are tasked with swapping positions with the individual so that their back is pressed up against the wall with the individual now standing in front of them and facing away from them. The officer will then pat the individual down. Should there be at least two officers on patrol during this encounter, then one of the officers will simply stand behind the individual and pat them down without needing to swap positions with them. This is due to the second officer standing back to back against the first officer where they’ll unholster their taser and cover the other officer’s back. In the situation where the person being pat down is wearing a ballistic face mask or otherwise carrying any legal weaponry such as metal bats, the officer should first unclip and take the mask from the individual before taking their legal weaponry and spraying the items down with luminol spray for any signs of blood or any potential dents on them. Should any of the items have blood on them, the items will be seized and secured in a zip-lock evidence bag, after which the officer will detain the person for further questioning where they’ll be interrogated and questioned by a detective. In the case where all items are clean and not dented, the officer will ask the individual for their ID, after which the officer will radio for any available officer at the station to run a background check. If the individual’s record is clear, meaning they have no felonies on their record then their items will be handed back to them and they’ll be set on their way. However, should the individual have a felony on their record, the officer will confiscate the legal weaponry and/or ballistic face mask and they will fine the individual ¥25,000 for being in illegal possession of these items.
DESKWORK
As a member of the police force, officers also have to do deskwork. This will most commonly be done by cadets, though any officer is also seen conducting deskwork. Deskwork includes things such as handling someone’s bail, taking someone in for the filing of a report or simply answering any questions or inquires anyone might have. Should someone set off the metal detector, the officer is tasked with ordering said individual to the wall and patting them down and going through the entire previously explained process. If someone wants to file a report, the officer at the front desk will first order the individual to face the wall, after the officer will come out to the lobby and pat them down before escorting them inside into one of the four reports rooms. Once the officer and individual have taken a seat, the officer will ask them a list of questions about the crime being reported. Any information could be valuable to the officer to further investigate the crime or potentially lead up to someone’s arrest with the gathered evidence. Deskwork also includes visitations. Should someone walk into the police station and request to visit someone that is currently arrested, the officer may allow visitation depending on if the arrested individual was arrested for either a felony or a misdemeanor. If they were arrested for a felony then visitations are not allowed, however should it be a misdemeanor then the visitor will be asked to face the wall, after which an officer will pat them down and follow the previously explained procedure. After that’s done, the officer will request for another officer to escort the inmate down to the visitation room whilst they’re escorting the visitor to it. The second officer should then head to the cell block, inform them that they have a visitor and then ordering them to face the back wall of their cell so that the officer can walk in, cuff them and escort them downstairs to the visitation room whilst holding out their baton, where they’ll cuff them to the table. Once everyone is settled, the officers will stand back against a wall of the room with thier batons equipped. One of the officers will then state the three simple visitation rules which are not speaking in any foreign languages, staying respectful during the visitation and that the visitation can not last longer than five OOC minutes (20 IC minutes). Should any rule be broken, the visitation will immediately end and both individuals will be escorted back out.
EMERGENCY CALLS
Calls are usually made every day and every hour for the police department and hospital to respond to. Some calls may be asking for help, seeing a situation that needs KPD, or someone is simply just injured therefore needing EMS. During a call that needs KPD, an officer will answer the phone and try to obtain as much information as they possibly can like asking for whereabouts or who’s around in order to plan accordingly to the situation. In some cases, the call might include victims that may be injured which is where EMS comes into play and are radioed by officers for back-up. Although it happens a lot, some people might mis-use the hotline or just try to grab the attention of KPD thinking it’s funny which will actually lead to them being arrested as the emergency line isn’t something to play with but rather serious.
CCTV
CCTV cameras are very helpful to the department and can help in many instances. CCTV cameras are also placed all over the city, even in some places that others wouldn’t assume a camera would be placed but KPD has access to all of them, except those in private properties or shops. Now, back onto the many ways they can help, CCTV can be used during calls about situations where officers might need to double check and see if it’s either a prank call or not, and be able to tell how many suspects might be involved within it so they can seek out for any additional help or go out with the cops already on-duty. Other instances that CCTV can be really helpful is during a police chase where one cop may stay back and watch over the cameras in order for the other officers to successfully follow the culprit or in some cases, it could be used to help gather evidence for certain situations in order to rightfully put someone behind bars. Some officers may just watch over CCTV during free time in case there may be crime that isn’t being called about so therefore cops can get to it before anything terrible happens.
ARRESTS / DETAINMENTS / CONFISCATIONS / FINES
Starting off with the arrests. Whenever someone is arrested, they are sent to a jail cell in the cells block inside of the police station, where they’ll be told their charges along with their serving time and bail amount, afterwhich they’ll be asked if they plead guilty or not guilty. The first thing an officer should do after arresting someone and arriving back at the station is log the sentences onto the criminal’s arrest so that it’s not forgotten and that they can carry through with the rest of the arrest, which I’ve just explained. If the arrested individual pleads guilty, then they may switch characters and they’ll be unjailed. In the case where they plead not guilty, they will firstly need to pay the officer ¥25,000 in court fees, after which the officer will taxpay the money and begin typing out the non-guilty plea. To start off, the officer will first give their explanation of the situation that led up to the individual’s arrest, followed by the arrested individual’s point of view on the situation and any and all evidence related to the arrest, as well as proof that the ¥25,000 were taxpaid. The chief judge or mayors will decide if the non-guilty pleas will be either accepted or denied. In the case where the arrested individual can not pay the ¥25,000 for the court fees, they will be forced to plead guilty as they can not afford the non-guilty plea.
Now moving onto the detainments. They are made whenever officers have reasonable suspicion that someone has committed a crime with either no evidence or not enough evidence to back this up. After someone is detained, they will be questioned and interrogated by the officer in either one of the interrogation rooms or in their cells. If they do get escorted to the interrogation room, they’ll be handcuffed before leaving their cell and they’ll also be handcuffed to the table inside of the interrogation room to prevent them from escaping if they planned on doing so. As an officer, their goal is to gather as much information as possible from the person and to potentially make them incriminate themselves, after which the officer can arrest them for the charges with concrete evidence.
Next up are confiscations. These are a more common occurrence with officers as there are several common cases in which officers will confiscate certain items from someone. Some examples for this are that an officer will confiscate legal weaponry and/or ballistic face masks from someone if that individual has a felony on their record or if someone underaged is in possession of items that are restricted to those over the age of 20. This will lead up to all of the items being confiscated and the person being fined, which I will now talk about.
Fines are probably the most common of them all, as people get fined on pretty much a daily basis. People get fined for minor offenses which will vary from anything from Failure to possess a government ID to Irresponsible Driving. In the case that someone can not afford a fine, they will be taken into the police station where they’ll have to perform community service in the station’s back yard. One they completed the tasks given to them they will be free to leave.
PATDOWNS
There are different scenarios in which KPD will pat someone down in order to keep the citizens away from any danger. The most common reason for patting someone down is when an officer sees someone wearing a mask which leads them to being pat down. An officer will order the individual against the wall, majority of the time they’ll switch in order to protect their back and then proceed from there. Officers will carefully and thoroughly make sure to pat someone down and check to see if they’re holding anything suspicious or just decided to wear a mask on a random Tuesday. Although the majority of officers will swap places during a pat down, there are different patdown positions which I can further describe.
6 O’Clock Formation
The 6 O’Clock Formation is probably the most commonly used patdown formation out of all three. It consists of the officer swapping positions with the individual they are patting down to where the officer’s back is now against the wall with the individual in front of them and facing away from them. This patdown formation is used whenever the officer is on their own. In the case that there is a secondary officer, that officer will stand back to back with the primary officer that is performing the patdown and will cover them. It will not require the first officer to swap positions.
Ring Formation
The only difference between the Ring Formation and the 6 O’Clock Formation is that the searching officer will be covered by several officers in a ring formation when patting someone down.
Cone Formation
The Cone Formation is essentially the same as the Ring Formation, with the only difference being that there are less additional officers to cover the searching officer, meaning that they’ll spread out more and form more of a cone formation. These last two formations are mostly used whenever there is a large crowd around the patdown to prevent any bystanders to attack the searching officer or in any other way interfere with the police work.
INMATE CARE
Inmate Care gives players who have been arrested the opportunity to roleplay and make things seem more realistic rather than just being locked in a cell then having to change characters, which doesn't seem the most fun which is why KPD gives out inmate care. There are different tasks given to the inmates and one officer that may accompany them, maybe two depending on the situation or if officers are available to help. These different tasks include; courtyard work which has a set of tasks like picking up cans and fishing, eating inside the cafeteria and possibly getting to interact with the officer who’s watching over or other tasks placed on the roof. In some cases, there have been events where players used the opportunity to plan a prison escape but those are always to be run by the commissioner beforehand, just in case anyone reading this gets an idea.
RAIDS
A raid is conducted for a variety of reasons; a call that suspects someone may be held hostage or kidnapped inside, being caught with weaponry while being pat down or other suspicions that must be run through a warrant. The warrant is the first step in order to raid a property, KPD must request and receive a search warrant on a property from a judge in order for them to lawfully be able to raid the property. Throughout the raid, officers will use their crowbars to pry any doors, trapdoors, barrels, or any possible areas that someone could be hiding weapons in. They are to check every single area and to flip everything open as properties are all different and owners find ways to hide things very well.
10-CODES
10-codes makes communication for officers much quicker, especially in a sticky situation where they might not have the ability to say a lot. Alongside being able to communicate quicker, others outside of the police force won’t be able to eavesdrop and listen into the conversation that officers may be speaking over the radio due to the fact not many people know the 10-codes unless they’ve, of course, done their own studies. This makes communication between officers much more effective than having to respond in long sentences but instead being able to give a quick and short response that the officers can quickly wrap their head around. This will help in situations where it’s crowded, it’s dangerous, or the officer may not be able to concentrate enough to speak out a full sentence.
CITY EMERGENCY LEVELS
City emergency levels are utilized in order to determine the crime levels of the town and notify the department of how low or high the danger is. Much won’t be said as that’s something for others to find out throughout the faction but as the emergency levels go higher, the measurements and restrictions on the department are placed higher as to keep everyone safe.
PATROLS
Officers of the police department patrol on a daily basis as it’s part of their routine. Every ranking officer besides cadets is allowed to patrol whenever they wish as long as they gain permission from the highest-ranking officer currently on-duty (This excludes the detectives).

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Standing at six feet tall was a twenty-eight year old adult male of Japanese descent that went by the name of Shigenori Saiky. Due to the lucky genes passed down from the Saiky family, Shigenori had blonde hair which was swept to both sides and pale blue colored eyes that caught the attention of many others. Not only were his light colored eyes captivating but so was his dazzling smile that showed off his pearly whites, putting all those times he fought his mom to brush his teeth before bed when he was younger to work. The man carried a muscular body physique, most thinking he had worked out a lot which wasn’t exactly the case, instead it had been all the work he put into training for his firefighting career. Shigenoris’ arm was covered by a large black python tattoo and ran up to the side of his neck, alongside the tattoo was a lobe and snakebite piercing on his left ear that made him seem more intimidating to some. At a closer look to the Saiky you’d notice a scar which stretched horizontally under his left eye causing a split in his eyebrow above the same eye. Shigenori had a monotone voice and spoke in a lower tone, really showing the rasp in his voice.
Nothing about this man was really normal, from the large tattoo to the mysterious scar he never really went into detail with, even to those he was close to. Shigenori kept to himself most of the time, but that was usually outside of work during his time as a firefighter as he knew that teamwork was a vital part of the job. His personality is a big factor of what makes him unique, he could flick certain switches in order to fit the scheme of who he’s around. When it comes to clothing, Shigenori dresses in a comfortable but professional sort of style. Would you see him in a suit walking around like other adult men in Karakura would? Absolutely not, but he will wear a nice buttoned up shirt with jeans to pair with it and comfortable enough shoes. Shigenori was never one to be picky about how he dresses but he is picky about how his job is done and making sure others do so correctly as well. Some could call Shigenori a perfectionist when it came to things, nit picking at certain things without a care of how the other person might think. He doesn’t care for peoples opinions nor what they think, he believes in what is best and gives no care in the world for someone else's judgment, unless of course someone grows a bond with him then he might show the side of him others might not see; his wall put down.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
As previously stated, Shigenori knows when to properly flip a switch to fit whatever situation he's in. It doesn’t necessarily mean he’s faking it but rather a way to mentally fit into his surroundings. An addition to the flip was the fact he was raised in a strict household that very strictly followed Japanese etiquette which therefore meant he knew better than to let personal life interfere with work life. While on-duty he maintained a stoic personality, being professional towards both his co-workers and members of the town. Despite giving the ‘get away from me’ sort of vibe, he was the opposite of it during on-duty and instead offers a helpful hand to all. In professional situations such as work or meetings, he’s very attentive and listens well so as to not miss any important details. Shigenori wasn’t necessarily much of a speaker, instead he kept things to himself unless of course someone were to ask for his opinion then he’d definitely speak his mind, especially if it were for something he was passionate about.
In casual situations such as being off-duty, Shigenori still maintains the same Japanese etiquette he shows while on-duty such as showing respect to others and bowing to any family members or those of higher authority. However, although he may show proper Japanese etiquette, Shigenori is still an individual that’s harder to approach than most, especially if he’s not around family. During casual conversation Shigenori may not be as attentive as he would in a professional one as it wouldn’t benefit him and just be a normal conversation where he’d rather use the time to go home and study. That isn’t the case with everyone though, there may be some that are able to get behind the guarded wall that he’s put up most his life which will then show much more of Shigenoris’ personality. Once someone gets the opportunity to see more of his laidback side they’ll come to realize he isn’t so scary as some may think. He will quickly become comfortable around those he trusts and trust isn’t something easily to gain from him. It may seem like it takes a battle to get past the wall but it honestly isn’t, it’s fairly easy and Shigenori tends to quickly become comfortable with another who'll see his actions become different around them. Shigenori will listen in conversations more, interact more, be protective, and more.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Shigenori has had a good history of being a firefighter for nine years which makes his experience with co-workers and teamwork much easier. With having a good amount of experience, he knows that teamwork isn’t something a person can push to the side and believe they’ll be fine to handle things on their own. Shigenori acknowledges how absolutely vital teamwork is on the line of duty, as it makes things quicker and safer not only for himself but for the citizens as well. Without the helpful hand of another, things would quickly become a mess, people get injured, and so would he. There’s always risks around people, especially with officers or anyone who works for the government as some people may hold grudges or just be angry for personal reasons. That is where having a team will cancel out those risks, having someone there to be at your back will cause less risks and in some cases where there’s an emergency, it’ll be quicker to tend to with someone else being there. Shigenori doesn’t get along with many people due to his judgment or the way he seems uninterested in conversations sometimes, but he never puts those feelings in the way of work. When it comes to work all those feelings are left at home and all his co-workers are seen as one, a team, not just random people he works with his whole life.

What's your character's backstory?
August 23rd, 1996 - The birth of Saiky, Shigenori
Shigenori Saiky was born on the outskirts of Handan, Hebei, China under Tatsuo and Michi Saiky. He was the first born of the three, most thinking he’d be treated like a king and spoiled by both his parents except it had been the complete opposite. Shigenori was born under a strict household where his parents made him run around the house a lot, help with a handful of chores and much more. His mother had been much more lenient than his father, understanding that he was only a young boy wanting to go outside and play with toys or his friends but his father threw a bunch of responsibilities at him instead by giving him tasks around the farm to help with. Shigenori wasn’t allowed to live his life as a young boy as most others would, some days he’d watch those who lived nearby play on the swings or fight with their siblings, a different sort of ache the young boy felt. In some cases, Shigenori would wake up early in the mornings to finish his tasks quicker and use different tools to makeshift toys he wasn’t able to have. In his fathers words; “Toys are a distraction, toys will get you nowhere but hard work will''. Shigenori assumed the reason his father had been so strict on him as a kid was due to how his father was raised as a younger boy. His father didn’t speak much on it, he didn’t speak much about anything in his personal life which never allowed any sort of relationship between the pair but Shigenori was much more understanding about it as a kid. In his young mind, his father went through hardships to get them where they were now and that he should forever be grateful for him, but that wasn’t always the case and something young Shigenori would later figure out in life. Due to Shigenori having to grow up at such a young age, he was required to have the best grades in his classes and to always come on top. In every class he had throughout elementary and middle school, Shigenori received grades above 90’s and awards rewarding his perfect scores. Everyone in the schools knew him as the prestigious Saiky, a nickname some would take as a blessing but instead had been a curse with the way others treated him due to it, out of both spite and jealousy.
With his nose in a book, Shigenori never had the time to properly make friendships with other students. Instead, students often messed with him by spilling drinks on his studies or calling him mocking names. Any other person would react back but Shigenori never wasted his reactions on those he knew were below him, thus, he continued doing well in school to prove them all wrong. Knowing that he made others envious gave him a rush to do better and better. Instead of growing any friendships, Shigenori grew an instant sibling bond with his newborn brother, Aria Saiky. However, this caused a bittersweet moment for the older boy as he now wasn’t deemed the only child anymore and the focus quickly shifted onto Aria, which left him in the dark in most moments. Despite being hidden in the shadows, Shigenori never had any jealousy towards his younger brother and instead shared a kind bond, protective over the young boy. The moment a tinge of jealousy struck was having to watch his parents be more laid-back with Aria, having to see his parents show him the attention and love that Shigenori so badly craved for. Still, it was a relieving moment not having to watch his younger brother go through the things he had to go through. Instead, Shigenori lived his childhood through Aria by playing out different imaginations that the younger boy could think of. The two would often play with toys that Shigenori never had the fair chance of getting to play with but that thought never came into mind, and instead were moments cherished well by the older Saiky. Instead of letting any sort of jealousy get to his head, the bond of the two prevented it from putting a wedge between them, therefore leading Shigenori to continue on his life and studies to continue attempting at showing his parents he didn’t fail them. Shigenori strived to make them proud, even the smallest acknowledgements they made towards him gave him a sort of thrill he didn’t feel any other time.
Trials and Errors
Through Shigenoris’ highschool years, he continued to make the same effort with his classes by studying all the time and not really having time to make friends. Some students at the school pointed fingers just as they did when he was in elementary school, calling him an oddball and saying he was too ‘fancy’ for them, yet they had no idea how he was raised or what sort of responsibilities he was put up with. Shigenori had never fallen into their mind games or words that they spit at him, knowing they were only saying it to mess with him but things went different when a certain student began bringing his family into the matters. Shigenori was never known as the aggressive type, he was a very laid back person since birth but he came to a breaking point on a thursday afternoon during his lunch break at school. There had been a student that continued to hover over Shigenori, teasing at the fact he had to work in a farm which didn’t bother him all too much till he decided to speak wrongly on his mothers’ looks and that was Shigenoris’ breaking point. Instead of replying with anything, he took a hold of the male and threw a harsh punch that had been returned back and ended up in a brawl between the two. The fight was quick to break up, leading the two into detention and a very hard lecture which was given by his dad once he got home. Shigenori bickered with his father but obviously, Tatsuo always won the argument and silenced Shigenori. Instead of repeating those actions, Shigenori took it as a lesson to better work on his temper in which he did and overcame quickly. There were plenty of interactions that he made during high school which he took as lessons like patience, humbleness, loyalty, etc. Shigenori slowly began to get his nose out of the books and hang out more alongside other students, loosening up a little but keeping most of it hidden from his parents due to them still giving him a hard time with their strict rules. The Saiky quickly began to learn that there was more outside of books like parties, people, and new adventures. He had gotten into times where he’d sneak off to parties without his parents knowing since he had a curfew, which was always never met. Shigenori began to hang out with a group that didn’t rub off on him the right way, they had been a bad influence but the Saiky wasn’t clever enough to see that yet until they had gotten into a pretty bad accident which Shigenori doesn’t remember at all. The only images he can remember before the accident is their car being spun in the air till everything went black, it even led him to having to get therapy and be put under stricter rules. Instead of returning to the bad habits he had, he went back to the Shigenori that kept to himself and stayed quiet instead of interacting with others.
New beginnings and the end of some
After almost meeting face to face with death, Shigenori decided it was time to do something that could actually cause some importance in his life like volunteering for a program with firefighters. His father had close relations with one of the chiefs so they were quick to come into contact with Shigenori in order to avoid him getting into the mess he had gotten into before. Of course, he didn’t deny the offer and accepted it right after graduation once he hit the age of 18. Throughout his time in the program, Shigenori learned a lot of the protocols and how they worked, all of it being new since it wasn’t something he studied in school for at all. After a few months of hard core training, Shigenori proved to the chief and the rest of his crew that he was a right fit and decided to hire him instead of keeping him as a volunteer. Sadly, Shigenori decided to move out of the country to Japan to study at a college he liked, which would mean that he would lose his job at the fire station. His chief noticed how this upset Shigenori, causing him to talk to one of the fire chiefs in Kanazawa where Shigenori was moving, where they quickly came to an agreement that he could continue working as a paid part-time firefighter. Shigenori continued his studies throughout college due to his parents still finding it to be important, looking into different sorts of studies like criminology which interested him the most. Criminology didn’t have too much to do with being a firefighter but there was a lot of information he gathered in case he wanted to transfer to another job like being an officer, FBI, detective, or any other sort of job related to the major. So far, Shigenori studied and worked hard throughout his four years of college, gaining multiple awards in his job for being a great firefighter and helping around a lot. In school, he was part of the top 5% and also awarded with many achievements. Shigenori continued to stay the prestigious Saiky everyone saw him as, holding his head up high with achievements racked up onto his shoulders, there was nothing taking down this guy. That was until he met a girl in one of his classes, Minako Akihito. Nothing much happened between the two other than a few casual conversations which blossomed into a friendship. Minako grew fond of the Saiky but Shigenori just thought the two were casual friends, a silly man he was indeed. After multiple tries of Minako trying to gain his attention by making flirty jokes and constantly tailing around him, he never understood the way she felt for him, though she didn’t care much and continued to keep it like that in order to keep their friendship and not make things awkward. As time went by, Minako and Shigenori stayed close, going over to each other's houses, studying together, taking the same classes, going out for lunch, etc., yet they still continued to just be friends with feelings for each other. The two were afraid to confess any sort of feelings till it came to graduation day. Minako decided at her graduation party that it’d be the best time to confess the way she felt for him, but as the time went by, Shigenori never showed up leaving Minako with no hope for the two. Instead of reaching out to him, she kept things the way they were by distancing herself. The day before Minakos graduation party had been the day he had to meet with his chief for a meeting, attending that where he found out he was offered a better position elsewhere. Instead of confronting Minako and breaking the news to her which he knew would upset her and probably try to stop him, he figured it’d be best to not show up at all or even bring it up to her. Instead, Shigenori cut off communication to make it easier for himself which led to the downfall of Minako and Shigenoris’ potential love story.
At the meeting, Shigenori was offered a higher position in Osaka, Japan where he’d be able to gain a higher pay and more opportunities with better benefits. It was a difficult decision having to leave his family behind and the only person he had really cared for but Shigenori believed it was best to do what he wanted to do. It had been a difficult situation with his parents, expecting him to pursue a career where they lived but things had changed since then. The only support Shigenori really had were his younger siblings who now had to be the support for their parents. Shigenori supported the family a lot, carrying them on his shoulders by helping fix around the house and keeping his parents on their feet but now it came down to having to focus on himself. Tatsuo and Michi, his parents, had given him the cold shoulder around the time he had to choose whether he wanted to stay home or move to Osaka. Shigenori even tried sending a message to Minako but never received a response, wondering now if maybe it would’ve prevented him from leaving in the first place yet he still chose to move to Osaka to continue his journey. Shigenori made his big move to Okasa, hurting him as he received no contact from his parents or Minako but at least he had his younger siblings who put in the effort. Things had been different in Osaka, a new environment and not having anyone to go to since he had no family or friends who lived there. He continued on pursuing his firefighter career, going through multiple incidents and accidents where he’d face difficult situations but always came out of them safely. Shigenori was written about and heard of over the news a few times, being a hero to a lot of the citizens that lived there but sadly, that wasn’t enough to keep Shigenori satisfied. As the years went by, the Saiky did end up meeting a few new people and befriending them but it didn’t hit as close as the relationships he had with Minako or his siblings. Slowly over time, Shigenori began to miss his family and decided to look for jobs where they moved to. He tried to tell himself a lot of times he didn’t have to move back with his parents, persuading himself to go out with friends more by going to parties or events, finding people to fuel the loneliness he had still nothing satisfied him enough to stick so he decided after 9 years it was time to make another big move.
Shigenori had flown into Karakura where he met with his family, both parents looking much more different than when he had first left which caused the older Saiky guilt but glad they took him back in without a fuss. He began to go around the town with his siblings and getting to know more about the areas, things being far more new than they were in Okasa. There had been one evening when Shigenori was hanging at the park with his siblings, spending as much time as he could with him since he wasted all those years. During the time of the three playing around, a few cops had run past but one specifically caught his attention, slick black hair and doll-like pale skin. Shigenori took interest and decided to look into the police department that was held in Karakura only to find out that the other half of him was staying in the same town he was at now. Shigenori thought he must’ve been seeing things at first, surely it wasn’t real, yet it very much was.
Shigenori decided with the degrees he’s earned and the knowledge he has over police departments, that it’d be a new experience he was ready to overcome. And with that, the Saiky decided to apply for the Karakura Police Department but continued with some studies of the town due to different laws in different countries and such.
General knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
Absolutely not, if you are in possession of a pocket knife you will be getting arrested for Possession of Illegal Weaponry. Now they’ll have to suffer the consequences of their actions by being incarcerated for 3 months with a ¥150,000 bail.

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
Radioing for extra help would seem rather useful but seeing as your co-worker can hear whatever is said, it could rather raise conflicts between yourself or with the inmate. Instead, I’d quickly rush in between the two and do my best to de-escalate the situation. I’ll get my co-worker to back up, even if I may have to use some verbal force so they understand me due to the fact they may not be thinking straight after the adrenaline rush. Once I get my co-worker back, I’ll place the inmate back into their cell to prevent any sort of attack or escape. After making sure things are sort of settled down, I’ll pull the officer aside and question them about what just happened but also try to calm them down. Even if they were to give me some sort of reasonable story, physically abusing an inmate isn’t what we were trained to do so I’ll still gather up the evidence of the event and report it to a higher-up.
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
I would first immediately radio for back-up in case there are other risks that may be hidden, then run in towards the scene with my taser upholstered and loudly order for anyone around to get on the ground. If they somehow believe they can’t hear me and continue doing whatever they’re doing, I’ll tase the individual to prevent my co-worker from getting further injured. Once everyone is obtained and the risks around are cleared, I’ll continue on with properly following police protocol by patting down and arresting them. If backup were to reach the scene then I’d get them to assist with the culprits that have been tased and make sure they all get disarmed, pat down, and sent to jail. While they assist the scene, I’ll be checking up on my co-worker to make sure they aren’t too injured and if they are I’ll make sure they get the medical attention they need at EMS.
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
Going through hard work for the job then becoming corrupt sounds rather dense but, in the case that I come upon something like this, I’ll make sure to gather as much evidence as possible before reporting it over to the higher-ups so a thorough investigation can be made. Nothing else will be said to anyone I work with as it could cause more issues and the trust of your surroundings will possibly be lowered knowing that someone you once worked with is now attempting to work with the side you’re fighting against.
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
In the case that someone would try to bribe me I’d give them a verbal warning not to do it as it’d be considered Bribery which we can then fine them for ¥15,000. If they continue to repeat the bribery, for whatever case, then I’ll fine them the right amount for Bribery as they were already warned beforehand.
