Describe your activity on SchoolRP:
I am an active player on SRP, investing a lot of my time into the server across multiple roles. On my main account, I play as a member of the Col Cheer Team, a role I've held for only a few weeks, but more weeks to come! Being part of the team involves me in frequent participation in practices and events, and even just on normal days when there's nothing planned happening. Additionally, my main character is in two clubs, further increasing my time spent on SRP. On my other alt, I play as a doctor within the EMS faction, a role I've had for a few months. This position also helps me understand teamwork more and gives me more roleplay experience! I stay active whenever possible, and even when I'm not on, I'm often tailoring or keeping up with the SRP discords. SRP is my main hobby, taking up the majority of my free time. Other than that, I’m on a year-long break from school so I have wayyyyyy more free time than most, so I’m painfully active. I fear I might be an SRP addict guys.. The only times I'll be unavailable are during occasional cheer practices and club meetings, which are always scheduled a few days before usually, so I'll be able to give a heads-up if needed. I'd like to note that the playtime on the account I'm applying on is low, I used it for a council character for a tiny bit of time but that wasn't quite the right faction for me.. so it still doesn't have a lot of playtime. BUT! The playtime on my main is around 16-17 weeks, if that helps!

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:
I've been roleplaying for most of my life, starting from a very young age on platforms like MCPE and Roblox. At the time, i would join random servers or play with friends, experimenting with characters and such. As I grew older, my interest in roleplaying only deepened, leading me to explore various Java MC servers and Discord roleplay communities. I enjoy the creative freedom that roleplaying provides, allowing me to immerse myself in a character's life! My journey with SRP began a few months before COVID-19, likely around November 2019, though I'm not entirely sure. When I first joined, I was immediately drawn to the server's structure and roleplay dynamics! Over time, I've found myself becoming more involved in the server, joining different factions, and even applying for some OOC factions (denied i fear but ONE DAY GUYS! IM HOPEFUL!). While I have attempted to explore other roleplay servers, none have quite captured my interest the way SRP has!

What are your current roles on SchoolRP:

ashchew | [Doctor] Jasmira Vaziri
asssshhh | [Grade-12] Kazuki S. Himura
What is the subject you want to teach?:
Culinary Studies.

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

My main motivation for becoming a professor within SRP comes from both an OOC and an IC perspective. OOcly, I've always been passionate about roleplaying, and I'm constantly looking for new experiences within the server. Becoming a professor would allow me to explore a new side of roleplay that I haven't fully experienced yet, while also allowing me to take a more structured and leadership-oriented position! Beyond my love for roleplaying, I've also had real-life experience with education and teaching. For the past two years, I spent a lot of time working with younger students, helping them with their studies and guiding them through different subjects. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for the patience, understanding, and kindness that goes into teaching, and it even shaped my interest in pursuing education in the future. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, I'm not yet able to begin anything with the subject, but I see this role on SRP as a unique way to explore my passion in a setting that requires similar skills but is roleplay! Even though it's a roleplaying environment, the ability to communicate effectively, guide students, and such mirrors real-life teaching in many ways. ICly, I also believe that this role would be beneficial for the character I'm applying for. Taking on a professor position would provide them with an opportunity to grow and it honestly fits her personality as you'll see later on in my application. I'll try not to yap too much more in here about her since again, I'll be talking about her a lot in a minute!

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:

1 Mystery Basket Challenge
In this challenge, students will test their creativity by crafting a dish using three surprise ingredients. The class would begin with a brief intro to the challenge, where students will receive their mystery baskets and have five minutes to brainstorm how they will use these items to create a dish. With access to an area with some other ingredients, they will have time to cook their dishes, using skills I will teach them in previous lessons. Once time is up, students will plate their creations and present them, explaining their flavor choices and techniques. The class concludes with tasting and feedback, where both I and their peers will assess the dishes based on their creativity, taste, etc! It’s kind of like that one cooking show.. Chopped I think? Either way, I think it would be fun and immersive!

2 Taste of History
In this class, students will take a journey through time by recreating a dish from a specific historical era. At the start, each team of students will randomly draw a time period, such as Ancient Rome, Medieval Europe, etc.. Along with a brief description of food culture from that time. Using a selection of ingredients and cooking methods, they will have more than half the class time to bring history to life on a plate. Once completed, students will present their dishes, explaining how they adapted historical recipes with modern techniques. The class will end with another group tasting and a discussion on how food has evolved over time. This could be fun for the students, immersive, and teach a little bit more than just culinary techniques and stuff!!

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:

For my field trip idea, students will leave the classroom and step into the city of Karakura and it’s food scene by visiting one of the city’s many well-known restaurants! I’m not entirely sure which, that’ll be set up if I actually - get to do this. This experience will provide an insider’s look at how professional restaurants in Karakura operate. By observing the atmosphere and interacting with employees, students will get firsthand knowledge of what it takes to run a successful culinary establishment! The trip would begin with a guided tour of the restaurant, led by a manager or the storekeeper. Students will explore different stations within the kitchen, including prep areas, storage rooms, etc.. to learn how kitchen organization and teamwork create smooth service. They will be taught about ingredient sourcing, menu creation, and seasonal influences on dishes. Once the tour is over, students will participate in an interactive hands-on session, where they may get to try out basic prep tasks, like cutting veggies, assembling ingredients, or plating dishes under the guidance of employees or a manager. After that, students will sit down for a manager-led tasting session, where they will sample a few signature dishes from the restaurant’s menu. During this time, they’ll ****yze flavors, presentations, etc. The field trip will conclude with a Q&A session, where students can ask works about their experiences, challenges, career paths, etc. By experiencing the real-world dynamics of restaurants in Karakura, they’ll have a better understanding of the industry. Hopefully, it’ll even strengthen their appreciation for the culinary arts and help them gain inspiration for their own possible cooking careers!

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

Nyoka would approach the scene with a calm yet authoritative presence, making it clear that she was NOT going to ignore whatever was going on. She would take a moment to assess the situation, noting the body language of all the jocks to determine whether this was harmless joking or something way more serious. If it seemed like an actual conflict, she would step in, ensuring that no one felt cornered or unsafe. Without immediately jumping to accusations, she would make it clear that this kind of behavior wasn’t going to continue under her watch and that any unnecessary trouble would have consequences. If any of the jocks tried to talk back or downplay the situation, Khang wouldn’t be easily swayed. She would make it clear that this wasn’t a request, it was a warning. If things didn’t de-escalate quickly, I’d hand out detention flips and make sure they entirely dispersed. Once the Spartan jocks were gone, Nyoka would turn her attention to the bobcat one, considering they were - most likely being ganged up on. She’d make sure they were okay, taking them to the nurse if needed.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?

Nyoka would start off patient, knowing that some students act out in detention just to entertain themselves, as annoying as that is. At first, she’d ignore the nonsense questions, giving them the chance to get bored of their disruptions. If they continued, she’d calmly shut it down, making it clear that detention isn’t a social hour. If they kept pushing, Nyoka would get creative, assigning an extra task or making them do more than just writing - which is the usual punishment (I think). If the disruptions were excessive, she’d warn the student that their behavior would result in longer detention or additional consequences. If needed, she’d resort to those things!!!!

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and calling out other students in the class, what would your character do?

She would immediately shut it down without making a huge scene, keeping control of her classroom! At first, she’d give a calm but firm warning, making eye contact with the group so they know they’ve been noticed. If they ignored the warning and continued, Nyoka would stop the lesson entirely, standing in silence for a moment to make it uncomfortable before addressing them directly. If they kept playing music, Khang would resort to taking their phone and placing it on her desk, letting them know they could get it once class ended. If they continued to do callouts, Nyoka would make them the center of attention, asking them if they’d like to teach instead of her since they wanted to be so disruptive. If they refused still, Khang wouldn’t waste any time, assigning extra work or handing out those handy dandy detention slips.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?

If breaking up the fight didn’t work, Nyoka would immediately call up some backup as well as hand out some detention slips.. Maybe even get a nurse on standby! She’d use a firm, commanding tone to make it clear that continuing would lead to serious consequences. Khang would focus on de-escalating the most aggressive student first without getting physical. Once the fight stopped, she’d make sure they got detention slips as well as ensure both students were separated and sent to the nurse - and the right authorities.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What does they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?

Nyoka Khang is a 65-year-old culinary professor with a passion for food and exploration! She was born into a wealthy family in Germany, and raised with access to nothing but the finest things in life. However, rather than simply indulging in luxury, she developed a deep appreciation for the craft of cooking. She understood that food was more than just sustenance, it was art in a way and honestly connected people. Determined to turn her passion into a career, she pursued higher education, eventually earning a PhD in Culinary Arts. Nyoka is elegant yet approachable, carrying herself with confidence but warmth at the same time.. In a way, she’s kind of like a sweet grandma. She has soft but expressive eyes, a friendly smile, and neat light brown hair. She prefers professional yet comfortable attire, often seen in more earth-toned clothing. Despite her age, she remains remarkably energic and hands-on, moving effortlessly throughout life. She absolutely loves her students.. Khang doesn’t really believe in strict discipline for the sake of authority, but she does expect respect and effort from her students. If someone struggles, she is always the first to offer extra help and encouragement, refusing to let anyone fall behind. Among the faculty, Nyoka is a supportive and hopefully respected colleague, taking on a mentor-like role for younger teachers due to all her years of experience. She enjoys sharing recipes, swapping stories, and offering advice, never hesitating to lend a hand when needed. While she prefers to stay out of any workplace drama, she won’t hesitate to step in if she sees mistreatment or a student being put at a disadvantage. Looking toward the future, Nyoka is content with her life as an educator and doesn’t see herself retiring anytime soon. She loves what she does and finds joy in guiding the next generation of chefs and food lovers. However, she occasionally daydreams about traveling the world with her beloved wife, exploring different culinary traditions, or maybe even writing a cookbook one day. For now, though, her heart remains in the classroom and the kitchen of her home.

( ps. Ik u asked for multiple big paragraphs, im bad at splitting things up so i fear you get one big one.. So sorry, pls dont hate me ty. )

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.
Make sure this is over 100 words.

As said before, Khang was born into a wealthy family in Germany, where fine dining and gourmet cuisine were everyday luxuries. From a young age, she was exposed to high-end culinary experiences, but instead of just diving into that luxury, she was fascinated by the process behind it all. The skill, precision, and passion required to create those dishes were almost magical to her. While her family expected her to pursue a more traditional or prestigious career, Nyoka defied expectations by choosing to study Culinary Arts. During her academic years, she discovered a passion not just for cooking but also for cooking and nutrition, leading her to minor in Education and Nutrition & Dietetics alongside her culinary studies. She believed that food was more than just taste, it was about, health and culture, and connecting people. After earning her PhD in Culinary Arts, she spent years working in high-end restaurants, and catering businesses, and doing her own research to refine her skills. She thrived in the fast-paced world of professional kitchens but often found herself drawn to mentoring the younger chefs around her and training newer staff. Her personal life had its ups and downs - she even experienced a failed marriage early in her adulthood. However, she refused to let any of it define her, instead channeling her energy into her career. At the age of 30, Nyoka decided to transition into teaching full-time especially now that she had her full degree. She began as an assistant instructor, slowly working her way up until she became rather respected. Over the past 34 years, she has dedicated herself to helping students discover their own passions for food, whether they want to become chefs or just want to understand the art of cooking. Now residing in Karakura Japan, Nyoka has built a reputation as a wise and encouraging educator, something she wants to share here.
