Describe your activity on the server:
Since returning to SRP, I have been on for a few hours each day. Whilst my activity has been a bit lacklustre recently, it has been due to university work. My activity will be and will remain frequent as all of that has finished. When I'm online, I'm usually on from around midday to quite late in the evening, usually early morning. Whilst I am on summer break from university, come September, my activity shouldn't be affected too much.
What is your motivation for applying?:
I have been part of the KPD many times; every time, I have loved it. Since departing last time due to my university studies, I have missed the KPD and been wanting to return at any opportunity I got. The faction has been a big part of my experience on SRP and it has been with me throughout my years on the server. Getting involved in the faction and watching it develop and grow with the server is something that I'm proud to say I have done. I have much love for the work that is done in the faction as well as the sense of community and teamwork it has. It has held a big place in my heart for a few years now.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
In university, I've studied criminology so my knowledge on that part of things is extensive. Police work, I have been associated with the KPD for quite some time so my knowledge is quite broad, but as I have not been in the KPD for quite some time now, it will be quite hazy; obviously, in need of a refresh. I am familiar with the duties police have to do, as well as the risks and the dangers that they can get themselves involved in. From simply sitting at front desk to going on patrols, their work within the city is sometimes unseen but just as important.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
GangRP has been a huge community within SRP for quite some time. Without the police force, there will be anarchy. The KPD is around to make sure there is law and order in a city where the population is full of rebellious teenagers; to keep public events safe, criminals behind bars and to make sure the law is being followed as closely and as safely as possible. Despite some despair from citizens about the KPD's power and tools used to enforce the law, their firm hand in keeping criminals at bay is critical to the city.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
I acknowledge this and understand.

In-Character (IC) Section
What's your character's full name?:
Mitsuzaki Kame
How old is your character (if accepted)?:
31
What are your character's gender and pronouns?:
Male - he/him
Please select your highest academic role at the time of writing this application:
Masters
What languages does your character know besides Japanese?:
None - He's native to Japan
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Mitsuzaki, at first glance, is not unique. A generic-looking man of around 5'8 in height. A daily routine of keeping himself fit and healthy has given him a decent build, albeit not as bulky as he wishes to be. His hair is quite thick and usually kept shoulder-length, but it's getting too long for him to a handle; a trim might be in order soon. He has dark brown, almond-shaped eyes and a pretty average appearance. Despite all this, he has a full sleeve of tattoos on his left arm and right leg, much to the chagrin of his parents. Mitsuzaki has a collection of piercings; snakebites, a helix bar and a few others. He has a headstrong personality and despite his potentially intimidating look, he has a heart of gold. Despite his quiet demeanour and stony resting face, Mitsuzaki is someone one would find the joy of getting to know.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
In a professional situation, Mitsuzaki acts however he is needed to do so. If the situation calls to be firm and level-headed, that's how he'll act. If it needs more of a calm, careful approach, you can bet on it. He's a good team-worker and keeps his head in dangerous and stressful situations. Of course, he'll react as any human would, but Mitsuzaki does his best. In both situations, he is quiet when he can. Inside the station, he won't talk as much but keep himself present in conversations and duties. In casual situations, he is the same. He keeps to himself, doesn't talk much about his personal life unless you get to know him well. Despite his stony look, Mitsuzaki is approachable. He likes to be around company despite not being much of a talker nor expressing it, but looks can be deceiving. Get to know Kame, and you might find a true, loyal friend.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Mitsuzaki views people who are able to work in a team very highly. He believes to be a team player is a very important value a person can have. As he has had a few jobs in his past, whilst not quite so potentially stressful and as dangerous as police work can be, he has had co-workers. Referencing his backstory, Kame has lead a small team as a manager in a tattoo shop in Saitama, his home city. He enjoys working in a team, as that's what his professional life has consisted of since his first job.
What's your character's backstory?
Kame was born on a mild afternoon on the 17th of March, 1993 to a carpenter father, and a nurse mother. Both as hard-working as each other. They were a traditional couple, keeping their heads down and working as best as they can to fund Mitsuzaki's education alongside a few extra spoils throughout his childhood. Thanks to his, his early life was quite tame and pleasant. School was a bit of a struggle for Kame, as he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed when it came to education. A few struggles here, and extra tuition, there, Mitsuzaki eventually caught up with the rest. Despite this, Mitsuzaki was a creative man at heart. He got into drawing when he was 3 years old, and from day one that skill has blossomed into a talent that he holds dear to himself to this day.
Music was a big part of his life, especially Western music. Listening to it whilst studying or doodling was an evening well spent. When his teenage years came along in 2006, Mitsuzaki had already started making money from his artwork. This, at the age of 19, sparked his idea of tattooing. Of course, as some teenagers do, Kame got his first few tattoos without the knowledge of his parents. As traditional parents, they held a strong disliking to tattoos but despite this, Kame wanted more. The more he got, the more he had risked discovery. At the age of 22, Mitsuzaki eventually had enough to move out from the suburbs into the big city. Money wasn't too much of an issue once Kame started working in a tattoo shop. Working his way up the ranks, he found himself leading the small team in no time at all. At the same time, his parents had discovered his lifestyle. Tattoos and piercings were heavily frowned upon in the small Kame family, yet it didn't deter Mitsuzaki from doing what he wanted.
Aged 29, the small business was booming. There were many regulars and money was decent. A small apartment was enough for Kame's relaxed lifestyle. Clubbing didn't interest him unlike his other colleagues, but he'd bring himself to go on the odd occasion. His evenings were spent either at the gym or doodling, cooking, reading or simply lounging about. He enjoyed nights in, and didn't feel the need to be out every night trying to fill the evenings with unnecessary spending.
A peaceful man at heart. A black cat, you might say.
General knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
No, you cannot. If it has not changed, it's possession of a minor weapon.
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
Paracetamol, multivitamins, melatonin, iron supplements and a wooden cane
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
First of all, I would turn my body-cam on straight away. Secondly, a call for backup would be needed if I were to be alone. Once backup has arrived, the inmate and co-worker will be separated if they haven't already. Any injuries will be dressed and the co-worker will be reported to a KPD higher-up. Depending on the severity of the situation, the co-worker would have to be cuffed and disarmed of any potential tools that may bring harm if they continue to be violent.
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
Once again, back-up will be called immediately if I am alone and body cam will be switched on. My location will be reported as well as the situation at hand, then, I will get involved. Doing my best to defend my co-worker as their safety is my top priority. Getting myself involved will potentially be dangerous, but to not try and defend will be even worse. Fatal, maybe.
Officer > Citizen > Criminal.
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
Immediately report them to a higher-up. You don't want to let the co-worker know that you are aware, as this may lead them to destroy evidence and cut off any form of ties. It is up to the higher-up's discretion what is done.
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
The bribe would be ignored, but I would let the individual know that doing this is highly illegal. If continued, a fine or an arrest would be a suitable action to be taken. If the individual is already in the jail cells and trying to bribe their way out of the sentence, an extension to their sentence will be requested.
