Backstory:
When Cassie was born, her father had the "great idea" of moving to America with his family. It turned out that he was cheating on her mother with an American woman online. They divorced and he moved back to England with his new girlfriend. Soon, Cassie started school and started dating a beautiful girl named Phoebe. Everything was okay-ish until Cassie's sister became a nurse at the local hospital. One day when her boyfriend was driving to work, a drunk driver hit their car. They would have survived, but the car was driving near a cliff and it fell into the valley. Her mother took care of their son, Oliver. Cassie then discovered that she could speak to ghosts when she saw her dead sister playing with Oliver. Ghosts started appearing everywhere and talking to her. Her mother thought she was going crazy, so she sent her away to boarding school.
