Backstory:
Chin-Mae was born in a hospital in Busan, South Korea, almost immediately after, she was given to an orphanage. Her mother had been stabbed to death by her father and he was charged with first-degree murder.

In the orphanage all the nannies looked at her with scorn, and she never understood why.The other children learnt their behavior and often pushed Chin-Mae around.

Chin-Mae always played alone by the edge of the orphanage property with her teddy bear. Sometimes nice people dressed in all black would come. They would talk to her about her day, and she would tell them. Sometimes they even jumped the property fence to come and play with her.

One day, one of the nannies came to find Chin-Mae because one of the other children claimed that she had pushed him down the stairs. The nanny found Chin-Mae talking to the men and freaked out. She began hitting Chin-Mae in the head, giving her a bad concussion that would lead to amnesia.

One of the men immediately jumped the fence and took her in his arms, running to the hospital and dropping her off.Where she never saw them again, but never forgot their kindness, even when she forgot everything else.

She eventually found a loving mother figure, and grew up well under her guidance, never forgetting the trauma she endured, but also never forgetting her saviour.
