TRIVIA QUESTIONS

What is the student council and what do they do?:

The student council is a group of students selected by SLT to help the school staff with managing the hundreds of students that attend Karakura High/Community college. They are responsible for enforcing the rules the school has set up, setting up and assisting with events and represent the rest of the students attending Karakura High/Community college.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
Council is another one of those unexplored factions for me, I've been on the server for a few years now but because I'm in KPD there aren't many factions I can join without leaving. I've always been around the council faction for lengthy periods of time over the few years I've been on the server, I've been friends with a few people that were able to become council president or other people that got really close to it. Throughout the years I've also been in and out of the teams faction so I've been able to see how council worked from that side of things, there was a time last year where i would follow someone on council around as a fake 'jr councilor' on my character, I enjoyed actually watching them work and interact with each other so i guess that's when my interest in the faction really started. After a few more months my girlfriend ended up joining the council faction, so I've been able to get a much closer look at the faction and everything going on. Me and a few other friends decided we wanted to all apply for the faction together so it being a new adventure we can all do together is also something that just makes it all seem more fun. Currently I'm also on the content team, while this isn't a big reason I'm applying it also just helps with my interest. I think being a councilor will help me get awesome SRP clips for the servers tiktok and stuff. I'm applying on my main account with my main character so this just helps me get a closer look at the school faction.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes, which I'm completely fine with. I enjoy helping out and coming up with cool little events for the school faction to do.

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
First on the list of roles is the Council President, This role is responsible for managing their side of the council faction while their SLT is busy. They manage Events, Meetings and work to make sure the council team is educated enough to be able to monitor the school and its students.

Similar to the Council President the Vice Council President is in charge of helping with similar tasks like meetings and managing events. Their main job is to assist the President and their SLT with tasks that are meant to keep the council team running smoothly.

Unlike the Council President and Vice President, The normal Council team’s only responsibility is to monitor the school and enforce rules during school hours. They can also come up with event ideas to pitch to the rest of the council team but mainly they will stick to patrolling and so on and handing out punishments like detention.

The council faction also works closely with school staff, so roles like Teachers, Professors, Caretakers, and Receptionists if this wasn’t already obvious. Roles like that for the school staff are constantly enforcing school rules onto the rest of the student body. Council makes their job easier by helping out in that department since they have other things to do that they applied for. The school staff also helps the council when they need to use the intercom since they are the only roles that have access to it, they also assist the council team with handing out stricter punishments like contacting SLT.

SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
*Xin fixed his posture in the chair he barely even fit in.*
“Personaaaallllly I'm not going to be in any rush to immediately rush into any action.” *The giant’s gaze rested down on the person in front of him AFTER he got comfortable.* “Instead of acting immediately, I would instead take a second to properly ****yze the situation before actively disciplining anyone.” *Xin’s lips curled into a smile as he explained his reasoning and his plan.* “Obviously the main goal of the council is to keep students in line so to minimize any additional disruptions to the assembly I would move the student away from the school assembly. Once we are in a quieter setting I would then sit down and better talk to the student. Trying to get his side of things, maybe something happened that I didn't see. If it's what I expected and he was just being a goof then I'll just tell him off and send him back to the assembly. If this isn't good enough, punishments will obviously escalate if they need to.”

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
“Well running away sure seems stupid considering the CCTV and the fact no one ever leaves school grounds during school time.” *He sighed* “Ok so if he just ends up running away it would be better to inform faculty over radio about the situation, or even call SLT if that's needed.” *The giant of a man tilted his head to the side* “So from there I think the most logical thing would be to check CCTV the school is covered in it, from there we should be able to find the masked dude.”

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
“God do people still even do that? I thought that left in 2024.” *Xin had let out a small chuckle as his lips curled into more of a smile once again.* “So at least when I’ve seen these things happen it normally just ends with SLT or detention. Since the teacher observed it all I would just stick with asking that specific teacher for names and then going to find those students for them, Once I find em ill hand out detention and so on. Jeez the detention room will soo damn busy during all that, do you guys even have enough desks for all of them?” *A dumb question. .surely the school had prepared for that kind of scenario before.*

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
“During my time on teams I never really joined in on any of the protests high school cheer did but I would always watch and get sick photos of them.” *Give this man a camera and he’d always do his job* “I don't think any school protest has ever happened that hasn't disrupted the school environment.” *Wayne spoke with his hands as he tried to help them visualize his next words* “Ok so, let's all try and imagine a scenario where anyone in Karakura could host something peacefully. In my head their protest would have to take place outside of the school building so the screaming chants don't affect any ongoing classes. Their protest will have to be monitored by council members to ensure it doesn't turn violent at all as well.” *Xin let a sigh escape from his lips as his hands dropped* “Listening to people whine all day about things that don't exist is going to suck. .but that's what you have to do sometimes.”

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
*Wayne rolled his eyes* “Sounds like people have communication issue, not a me issue.” *Quite a bold statement* “I would simply explain that I'm doing what I'm taught to do, and if they think otherwise they can happily go talk to the council vice president or president about it." *He nodded his head along to his statement as he continued* "But I will also be going to my vice president or president to talk about the matter to get their opinion on it."

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
I have a few event ideas i think council could host for the school if they were to get approved
Event 1
Field Day:
Ideally this event would be a two part event, The first part will stick to just being a faction wide event. For this event there will be a bobcat side consisting of Teams, Teachers, and HS Council up against the College side consisting of College Teams, Professors, and College Council. Both sides will be competing against one another in a series of listed activities. During these listed activities they will be competing for 50 points, each activity will give you a certain number of points and by the end of the event the winner will be decided based on which side has the most points. The winner of the event will be able to plan a server wide event to celebrate their side's victory this will act as part two of the event.
Rules for this event
1. Each team participating in an activity must be a mix of each faction. Meaning one team couldn't be made up of only the team's faction; they would need to have a person from council and a person from teachers.
2. To participate in an activity you must sign up for it
3. Whoever participates in an activity will not be allowed to participate in another activity, this is to make sure people attending have a chance to participate if they want to.
3a. If one side does not have enough people attending or people are missing who signed up then they will be allowed to have someone sub in. Subs will be picked from people who haven't participated yet before going to ones that have.
4.Arguing the results of a match will result in neither side getting points.
5. Any side with a radio is not permitted to use their radio to get an upper hand during the activities.
6. No keybinds
Below are the listed activities

Relay race:
The relay race will take place around the perimeter of the school, runners will be responsible for passing batons to each other at each checkpoint via the /giveto command. Bobcat plushies and Spartan plushies will be the 'batons' each runner will be passing around.
Worth 10 points
Relay Rules
1. Runners must not leave the road unless they are running the final stretch.
2. Every runner must be passed the baton via the /giveto command which will be confirmed by a council member at each checkpoint

Below is the area where the relay will take place.
Yellow Lines: First lap
Orange line: final lap.
1760328176103.png

Scavenger hunt:
The scavenger hunt will take place at the track field. There will be two council members handing out books for either side to find. Each book will contain one listed item, whoever receives the book will be responsible for going to find what is inside their book. When the contestant brings back their item then the next person in line will go. Whoever finishes first will win.
Examples of how random each book item will be.
‘Bring a girl with blue hair back here’
‘Find a red chair and drag it back here.’
‘Bring a mop back’
Worth 10 points
Hunt rules:
1. Each person will hand off items via /giveto command
2. Each hunter must return their item to whoever gave them the book for the next hunter to go.
3. How you get these items doesn’t matter because they will be extremely random
4. You can not log off to change your skins or anything during this
5. No one on your team can help you find this item.

Dodgeball game:
For the final activity it will be a simple three games, Each round will give the winner 10 points and this is an activity everyone who has not competed already in an activity will compete in.
Dodgeball Rules:
1. No arguing
2. Follow basic dodgeball rules, Each player will run up to grab a ball and they will not be permitted to throw the ball until they have fun back past the first white line.

Event 2
Carnival Night:
A simple carnival night, Having multiple booths and games set up where people can win prizes. A fun little event that can be held on the baseball field. For this event I was thinking it could be a Council x Club event, The booths and games would be set up by the club faction. Similar to how they did the rein fair!

Personal Information
(in character)

Name:

Wayne Xin

Gender:
Male

Age:
19

Phone number:
(+81) (030)-712-9160

How would you describe your personality?:
Hello, I'm Wayne Xin. Trying to describe myself in a few words is. . definitely an interesting task. I’d like to say I'm a very relaxed person, the type that doesn't react unless pushed to. I love goofing off with my friends and I enjoy being around the type of people who enjoy relaxing as much as I do. But I also understand when there's a time and place to be serious and stern about situations, I take work and roles I apply for very seriously.

Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):
Uhhh how am I supposed to describe myself? AS you can see! I'm a super tall giant with cool piercings. I normally wear whatever feels best that day, but I like baggy clothes with cool designs on them.
IM THAT ONE! (2).png

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:

I’ve been a co-captain before and a temp captain, I turned down the opportunity of becoming a captain because it just wasn't something I was interested in at the time. I have other friends putting in council applications alongside me, we all are coming from teams so i think we can all provide different team perspectives with how certain students will act and react to stuff. Personally for me i love planning events, i love getting to do cool things for the community. I think that's something I'll be able to do as a part of the council.

Why do you want this position?:
I really enjoyed it when I was working as a ‘Junior councilor’ with the high school president. Of course this wasn’t a serious role, but being able to see how the council interacted with each other and watching them work was something I found very interesting. I’ve been able to get a closer look at how things work because of my best friend Mei-Lien Saiky. So my interest in things only peaked more. I'm someone who loves staying busy with things, so things like patrolling and keeping kids in line actually sounds like a lot of fun. I think the discipline within the council would also help a lot with preparing me for life outside of school. I have plans to have my own business in the future and that's what I'm taking classes for.

What interests you the most about student council?:
Definitely the busy work, I’m someone who loves staying busy like i said. I love being active and so on, it helps take my mind off things. I’m really hoping that with joining the council team I'll be able to host some cool events again for the school. The events I hosted for volleyball were always stressful to put together but when they turned out well and became bigger then I imagined it was always really satisfying. I also have a lot of friends applying for council soo that's always fun to get to do this kind of thing with them.

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
While I was on teams I noticed something not a lot of councilors did was actually listen to the things students would say. Sometimes it felt like I was talking to a brick wall or people that just put me into a category because I played for a school team. I think it’s important to actually listen to the people attending here, it’s important we treat people fairly despite the fact they may be on a team or maybe even have a more troubling record. I also think not treating this school like it’s a military camp is important, you should still remember that these students who are here are still just teenagers and young adults like many of us. If something doesn’t have to be a detention or something to affect their permanent record or their role in college or even high school then we should be giving lighter punishments.
