TRIVIA QUESTIONS
What is the student council and what do they do?:
The student council is a highly dedicated group of high school and college students who work together in order to maintain a strong sense of support and order within the academic community. Their main goal is to assist their peers and ensure that school activities run smoothly.
The council has a range of responsibilities. Oftentimes they are helping students with everyday challenges such as helping them find specific rooms or locations within the school! They also play a key role in supporting other students who may be facing conflict be it bullying or personal issues, the council is there to lend a listening ear and guidance upon request.
Aside from helping students, councilors are also able to assist other groups within the school, such as sport teams, teachers, and other faculty. They’re often seen helping with events and making sure everything runs efficiently. On top of this, the council also runs their own events, offering different things for students to do such as but not limited to hosting fundraisers for the school via bake sales and other similar activities.
Another crucial role for the student council is aiding in resolving conflicts. Should a council member hear or see a fight/disagreement ensue with no teacher present, it becomes their responsibility to try and de-escalate the situation in a calm and appropriate manner at least till a higher authority arrives to further take care of the situation.
In short, the council acts as a bridge between the students and staff, working to maintain a level of authority and building a positive school environment!
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
I’ve always had a strong interest in joining a faction within the school on SRP, specifically looking for one that not only makes sense for my character, but also me as a person in order to truly enjoy and be involved within the role. I was loosely interested in certain sports but never quite felt like they’d fit the characters I was playing as. With Himari specifically I didn't even originally consider council, though after a handful of IC interactions including one with him being told directly by the high school president to try and apply, I decided to shoot my shot and submit an application. I already have a fairly active routine around the school, and do my best to attend classes and interact with teachers as well as see what is happening in different social circles. I’m always looking for new roleplay opportunities and feel like this would be a great opportunity to gain more interactions and responsibility within the server.
Another motivator for applying was my friend Cran who already has a High school council character and helped me make the decision to apply through simple encouragement. I already know I’ll have a friend in the council both Icly and oocly, I’ve had a few interactions with various other members so there’s also icly ground for Himari wanting to be in the council. All of it makes for great motivation and reason to apply!
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes! This actually excites me a lot as I have fun working with others and more so getting to offer up ideas and possibly see them go through into events. I consider myself a team player, liking to listen to everyone’s ideas and forming compromises, as well as bring my own ideas to the table. I’d be looking forward to being involved in various events and meetings, thanks to my schedule I’d be free for most activities and can provide the team with an extra helping hand no matter the project!
Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:
High-School & College Presidents
Being the leaders of the faction they have the highest authority and are in charge of making the final call on most if not all decisions within the council. They’re the big dogs! They’re in charge of making meetings and organizing events for the council.
High-School & College Vice-Presidents
The VPs help the presidents with organizing events, meetings, and overall keeping an eye on the faction when the presidents may be away!
The Councilors
The main body of the faction, the councilors are the ones patrolling and are participating in meetings. They are there to make sure everything runs smoothly while following the rules set in place by the V.P and presidents
Other roles councilors may interact with!
Teachers
Professors
Principal
Vice-Principal
Deputy-Principal
Chancellor
Vice-Chancellor
Dean
All these roles are heavily involved in the schools authority making them primary individuals to report to after breaking up a fight, or seeing any behaviors that go against school policy. Applying primarily to teachers and professors, the council is allowed to help them in the classroom, helping to maintain order and peace.
Librarian
Caretaker
Nurse
Receptionist
Chefs
Tutors
All these roles are some that the council could lend helping hands to, some examples being helping the librarian sort books, running errands for the receptionist, helping the nurse clean, among other simple tasks to make their day easier!
Sport team leads
Club leaders
Both these roles are student roles! The council can help them with organizing their events and offering assistance to them to ensure their activities go smoothly!

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
Should a student at an assembly of any kind grow loud or disruptive either through language or action, the first thing I would do is quietly approach the student, the goal is not to draw attention to myself or make a scene, so that the assembly may continue smoothly as I attempt to calm the student down.
In the event the student does not cooperate, the next action I would take is to remove the student from the assembly and try to explain the situation and why he/she can’t be doing these disruptive behaviors. From there depending on their reaction I can make the call to remove him from the assembly entirely if he/she is continuing to prove that they are not going to settle down or if they seem to be listening I would allow them back in but under some loose observation to ensure they do not act up again.
A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
The first action to take is contacting other council members via the radio to alert them that there is a masked individual running and give word of my location as well as where the student is running towards. If other members are around and able, they could catch the person or assist me in doing so. If we’re unable to catch them, and get their identity it’s best we head to someone of authority, like a teacher, professor, dean or someone of greater authority to alert them of what is going on.
If caught, taking the mask would be the first action, then bringing the student to a teacher of another authority would be next so that way faculty can appropriately deal with the student and give them the correct punishment for their actions.
A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
I would talk with the teacher and see if there have been other situations where this behavior has occurred in the past, just to get an idea as to how long this has been happening. After getting some basic information about the student from the teacher I would suggest possibly collaborating with a counselor at the school to set up a meeting for the student.
It seems likely the student is struggling with something, using art as a creative outlet to vent while also making threats towards peers, so long as the student has not brought any physical harm to anyone it would be unlikely that we need to punish the student. In the meeting I’d likely address that they’re not in trouble, that we’re trying to better understand what is happening and tackle whatever they’re going through, while also mentioning that the threats towards peers are harmful and a cause for concern and need to stop. I do not want to make the student feel alone or like they are just going to get detention and no good will come of this. Should the meeting with the counselor prove beneficial for the student and we see improvements to his or her behavior an arrangement could be in place for them to meet with them every so often to start on the correct track to improving themself.
Identifying and helping students that could be going through rough parts of their life is important. Making sure that you find every angle of a situation like this is hard, but reaching out and first trying to help the student overcome what is happening in their life is the first step I would take. While we can only do so much, I would not try to first punish a student displaying these behaviors, you never know what someone is going through.
A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
It depends on the type of protest, while we value the freedom of expression we also must take into consideration that not every topic should be protested on school grounds. Topics that might negatively affect or target select groups within the academic community shouldn't be allowed, though I would let them know they’re free to use supplies to protest after school in the plaza. Listening to the students wanting to protest is important, but taking consideration for the general student body is also just as important, there are children as young as 13 that are active within the building and they shouldn't need to be exposed to topics not appropriate for their age range.
Should the topic of protest be okay for school, then the next step is to understand where they’d like to protest, the full details of what they are protesting, who is involved, what they are looking to gain by protesting, and if everything from there seems okay, we would take it up with a school authority head, for this example a dean or higher. If we gain permission from such authority then the students would be allowed to set a date for their protest.
Should the protest become violent at any point in time it’s likely I would either try and remind them to settle down or if verbal warning is not enough then to shut the protest down. Violence of any kind is not allowed on school grounds and can be an appropriate reason for detention if the protestors fail to remain peaceful in what they are doing.
A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
I’d first be apologetic, thanking them for catching my poor behavior and addressing it to me. Then I’d ask to know what I’m doing incorrectly, it’s possible for slip-ups to occur and if I know what I did wrong I can better watch myself and ensure that it doesn't happen again. It’s important for me that I understand my faults so that I can make sure to better improve myself and ensure something like this doesn't happen again in the future!
Should my actions upset another student, or disrupt class, I’d be sure to formally apologise to whoever I need to and take responsibility for my actions no matter what caused them to occur. As a council member it’s expected that I maintain my good behavior and can properly set an example for those around me.
Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
Slumber Party Event
My idea for an event is a slumber party held after hours for the students of Karakura, the event would take place on a Friday night roughly around 7:30pm just before bedtime rolls around. The location for the event would be the school auditorium, which will be transformed into a cozy and lively party space full of pillows, fun decor, and plenty of mats for people to sleep on if they do not already have a sleeping bag of their own!
In order to make sure everyone feels right at home during the event, the council will provide fresh popcorn to snack on, and warm hot cocoa to drink, as well as various other snacks that we may be able to provide to the attendees. Once people arrive we will start the night with some fun activities to really get the party going!
The first activity would be a large-scale game of twister, where everyone’s speed and flexibility would be put to the test while the watchers cheer on their friends and guess who will win! The second activity after a short break would be a fun and lively pajama fashion show, everyone would be encouraged to walk the runway and show off their cool and stylish sleepwear, from animal themes onesies to name brand jammies the students would be able to show of their swag while receiving cheers from the crowd. Afterwards, we’re turning up the music for an epic dance off, duos or individuals would be put against each other to show off their moves! With the crowd picking their favorites and deciding the winners till their one group left standing as the winner with a prize of the council's choosing. After all the activities it’ll be time to wind down with a good movie or show that the council has selected!
As the night winds down everyone will rest and wake up to a breakfast spread prepared by the super cool council, ensuring everyone gets their day started right with a delicious morning meal so students can fuel up before heading home after a fun activity filled night!

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
I have a squeaky clean record and a strong drive to help people even if I don't know them. I’ve always been compassionate seaking to lend a helping hand to those around me. I know what it’s like to go through tough situations and I’m looking to assist students and peers who are in need of guidance or help through whatever they’re going through. While I’m sure there's people who have likely said something similar, I feel as if I have the right set of skills to bring to the table not only to assist the council but to help the student body as well.
Why do you want this position?:
I’m seeking to join council for a few reasons, I enjoy helping people and bettering those around me, I have a friend currently in the council who I know will hold me accountable, I was told by the highschool president to apply for the role, and I generally just think that this position would do me a lot of good. I’ve always wanted to be involved more in the school in some way and I feel as if this would be the best place for me to be.
What interests you the most about student council?:
Their influence over the school, how they interact with students, how they handle conflict and just how they are seen as a positive influence over the population in the school! I want to be part of that truthfully, a tight group dedicated to improving the lives of the students around them just sounds really nice.
What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
By patrolling and participating in class! While this seems simple, it’s a key part of making sure that people know who I am, that I’m part of the council and that they can come to me if needed! Making sure I’m not tucked away in a corner of the school and ensuring I’m always around to help those who need it. Keeping a keen eye out for trouble and reporting it is a sure fire way to make sure the school remains safe for everyone!
