Describe your activity on SchoolRP:

I have been active on the server for about 8 months now, with me joining earlier than that. I have 1 week, 2 days and 12 hours on the server on my main account (robinzee), with a few more hours on FantasyRP, though a lot less.

I have applied to many IC jobs as a cashier or an occupation akin to that, but I've not been accepted into any until I was brought into Fight Club as a bartender. There, I worked my way up the ranks and became a head referee. During my time at Fight Club, I have missed a very small number of openings, and all of my missed openings were noted in advance through inactivity logs. I think my greatest strength is my consistency - while I do have minor trouble staying online without any reason to, if there is an event scheduled, I will do my best to be there.

In addition to these, I am active on the forums where I have no issues providing my opinion on suggestions with proper reasoning and the Karakura Crime and IKIGAI Discords where I hold conversations on a daily basis.

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:

As I've said before, I've been active on SchoolRP for about 3/4ths of a year now, and I believe I am knowledgeable in most non-occupation-related topics. I've had two characters so far - Otsuki Kenji, a rockergirl with a heart of gold, Ridley Akiyama, a sweet, though emotionally unfeeling gentlewoman, with Conrad Lunge being the third character I am hoping to play and develop here. I have interacted with most factions at least once IRP, and am an active member on the Karakura Crime Discord, although I am not part of any gang myself.

Regarding my roleplay experience in general, I've been a roleplayer for a very long time now, starting with watching Minecraft Roleplay videos (such as Samgladiator's 'Yandere High School' series) on YouTube, later dipping my toe into it via Hypixel Housing roleplays. In 2017, I joined a literate roleplaying community on Amino, where I am active to this day as part of the admin team. There, I developed my literate writing style, created multiple characters who have all gone through significant character arcs, designed plot points for the community's overarching narrative and ran events for the community.

What are your current roles on SchoolRP:

On my main account, robinzee, I am a College Bachelor. I have a character very near and dear to me on this account, and that's why I am applying using my second account, robinaye, where I am in High School, Grade 8.

What is the subject you want to teach?:

I'd like to teach a course on Modern History as part of the Social Studies classes. I do realise that history may be considered a part of the humanities department oeuvre, but I think a lot of subjects have a bit of overlap between departments, and history is no exception. If I am not permitted to teach Modern History, that's completely fine with me -- I can also teach political geography, a course on forensic science (though this would fall under L&J, most likely) or a course on Ancient Philosophy as part of Humanities. But, quite frankly, I can teach any subject.

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

I've been hoping to take on more responsibility on SRP beyond just being a student or Fight Club employee, and I think that getting more involved with the School Faction is the way to get started. Furthermore, during the hours that I am usually on, there are seldom any professors on, so I'd like to provide classes during those times so folks don't just sit around the school aimlessly.

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:

1.
A class regarding the 1995 Aum Shinrikyo attack on the Tokyo subway.
Open the class with trivia - do they know that in mainland Japan, there are no trash cans in the subways? Ask them if they know why. Lead the conversation toward Aum Shinrikyo, explain the 1995 bombing.
Assign the class an article to read - BBC's Aum Shinrikyo: The Japanese cult behind the Tokyo Sarin attack. Have them explain what they learned, ending the class with a discussion on if they think something like this can happen again.

2.
A more lighthearted lesson this time around, regarding the boom of anime & manga in the middle of the 20th century. Begin the lecture with a story of how the economic climate was in Japan around that time, leading into entertainment. Talk about Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy as a representation of fear of war, followed by Hayao Miyazaki's outlook on art and life.
Assign the class to draw a short manga that would incorporate something they learned this lesson. Present in front of others.

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:

A trip to the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery. Conrad understands the financial situation of a lot of students, therefore he wouldn't ask them to travel by train. Instead, the group would go on foot, Karakura isn't a large city, after all, and getting from the school to the forest wouldn't be a hassle. First, they'd visit the main site of the shrine. He'd explain a little about Shintoism and its relevance in early 20th century Japan before giving the class free reign to go anywhere within the shrine for a few hours. He himself would probably stay in the shade.

Following this, he'd offer the students a chance to visit the seaside Torii gate, incentivised by him paying for an ice-cream later if they went. After they'd rest up at the promenade, he'd let them go and enjoy the sunset from the beach.

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

Conrad would lean over one of the jocks' shoulder, taking a quick peek at the bobcat.

"Gentlemen," He'd mutter, "I think you ought to leave the kid alone." If he were to be confronted by the college jocks, he'd keep a straight face and a cool mind. After all, he's dealt with worse. He'd simply tell them that, if they left the bobcat alone, he wouldn't report this incident to the faculty, under the pretense that they'd never speak to the high schooler again - "You see them walking on the sidewalk, you cross to the other side of the road."

After the encounter would conclude, he'd shake his head and sigh, leaving the bobcat without saying another word to him.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?

Conrad would ask the student to keep the "frankly, silly, uninformed and quite obviously ironic in nature" questions to himself, lest he's interested in an extracurricular detention tomorrow, too.

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class, what would your character do?

He'd slam down the chalk on his desk, making a loud thud which would silence the whole class.

There aren't a lot of things that can anger him, but not paying attention to class certainly can. He'd shoot the group a cold glare before beginning a short monologue:
"Ms. (NAME), Mr. (NAME)..." He'd continue naming the disturbers in a stern manner. "Leave. If you don't wish to be here, that is completely fine by me. That goes for everyone--" He'd look to the rest of the class, speaking to them now. "If ANY one of you wishes to leave because they don't want to be here, they aren't interested in this, or any other goddamn reason you can think of, they have my permission. You are adults. Babying you is not my responsibility, part of my job, nor do I take any interest in it."

Conrad would walk over to the door, sliding it gesturing toward the outside. "I leave it within your hands."

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?

He would jot down the students' names in his memory before calling more teachers or caretakers over the radio to break up the fight with him. He'd then report the students to the faculty as insubordinate and press for detention.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What do they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?

Conrad Lunge is a blonde caucasian man, hailing from Ruhenheim, Germany. This year, he celebrated his coral jubilee - 35 years young. His rectangular face is no stranger to a few wrinkles already, caused by an amount of distress any officer of the law can certainly attest to. His hair takes on a dirty-blond colour, unfortunately receding in his forehead area. Of course, some grey hair is to be expected, too. Although his body used to be much more defined earlier in life, nowadays he's a little softer, his broad shoulders still notable. His gaze usually gives off resolve, but if he's to be angered, his glare alone can feel threatening. He usually wears a gray suit and blue tie, both gifted to him by his late partner.

He's a man that was trained for resilience, emotional and physical alike, but in the past few years, he felt broken, without any hope. Thankfully, joining the scouts as a troop guide helped him get back on track, although he is prone to hiding his more emotional side now. He still feels -- but the tin man cannot show his heart, or, rather, isn't aware he still has one. Conrad seeks an escape from himself, his past as a police detective and the losses he endured. At nights, he sits alone in his small room and watches crime dramas, the only way for him to still brush against the beauty of the world he left behind without risk. In that way, people suppose he's unique. He doesn't have the get-go of a young man, or even the hopelessness of an old man now. He simply has nothing and no-one. But coming to Karakura, he hopes this will change.

"Students," Conrad would say, "College Students in particular... they're not children anymore. I had a great physics teacher when I was young, not that I was any good at it, mind you. He didn't see me as a child, he wouldn't force me to study, he didn't force me to stay in his lessons if I didn't want to. And that's what made me want to stay in his lessons, his attitude. He loved teaching, he loved this subject, and if somebody didn't, that was fine with him. I want to be a teacher like that, too."

Conrad wouldn't see other professors as something to fear, and if they wanted to, he would be glad to get closer to them, to bond over a bottle or two. He's not a fan of the rowdy, loud types of teachers nowadays, though, who seem to be there for their own benefit, and not the benefit of their students. He'd probably even distance himself from them.

As for his future plans, he simply wishes to heal and move on. He truly believes he has something to bring to the table of the faculty. Besides that, however, he has no clue where he's going. Perhaps he'd start a family. Perhaps he'd join the force again. Whatever happens happens -- let's just hope he'll be ready for it when the time comes.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.

Conrad Lunge was born on the 1st of May, 1987. He wasn't particularly a bright child that excelled in anything - he was simply average. He was born into a family of two sisters and a brother before him, making him the youngest of the quartet. He was a happy child, getting along well with his peers, his siblings and his parents.

His father in particular served as a great role model to him. Growing up in East Germany, his father would work long hours and when he wouldn't, he'd be asleep, yet somehow, between work and between sleep, Griffin Lunge always found time for young Conrad. The fact of the matter was that he saw himself in him, being the youngest of his own siblings himself. He'd always bring Conrad gifts and memorabilia from work. One day, he brought home a television set - a rare commodity in Ruhenheim. Conrad loved it - he spent a lot of his waking hours glued to the set, watching serials from the West, enamoured by the seemingly abundant amount of freedom on display - much different than the 'can'ts' and 'do nots' of where he lived. He enjoyed cop shows the most. Lieutenant Columbo's "One last question", Magnum P.I. and others graced the screen, forming his sense of justice.

One day, his father didn't return home from work.

Conrad wondered why. His mother never told him why. Of course, when he was older, he realised why, but the heart of the matter remained the same - he never met him again. Why?

The Berlin Wall fell, and Germany became one.

Conrad left to become a police officer to Berlin, eventually joining the Munich police force. One day, while on his beat, he was asked by a young woman to help him - her purse had been stolen. He chased after the criminal and successfully managed to apprehend him, returning the purse to its rightful owner.

The girl's name was Helene, and their chance encounter soon grew into a romance. First, Helene asked Conrad out for a wine, then a movie. Conrad remembers her as always making the first move, with one exception - his proposal. They became married.

Conrad's career advanced. He became a detective, one of the more skilled ones in the precinct. His numbers were high. During the day, he'd investigate crime scenes, follow leads to their conclusions and in the end, he'd return home to their apartment in the old town, to his loving wife.

She wanted kids. He wasn't ready.

Conrad felt that, maybe, he had to advance his career a bit more, become a lieutenant, maybe, or even a captain. He underwent training at the FCPA to become a BKA Inspector and passed with flying colors. He was going to move up.

His last month at the police department, he was working on an important case regarding a mob that had sprung up. Most detectives would simply leave the case to another detective before they transferred, but Conrad felt determined to catch the crooks that had been terrorising the neighborhood before leaving.

Boom.

An explosion in one of Goethestrasse's Parking Houses. One dead -- female. Two injured.

It may seem to you that I simply rushed past one of the most important parts of Conrad's life, but the truth is, that is how the years with Helene felt to him. Short. Rushed. Gone. After burying Helene and what would have been their daughter, he retreated back to Ruhenheim. He retreated back to what he knew wouldn't hurt him, he retreated to his old family home, he retreated to the TV. Extended hiatus, the department called it, but Conrad himself wasn't sure if he'd ever return again.

Knock knock.

"Hello?" Conrad would open the door, only to see his nephew standing there with a soccer ball in his hand.
"Wanna play?"
"Huh?"
"Wanna play football?"
"Don't really know how to play. Where's your mom?"
"Work. Why are you home?"
"I'm not working."
"Huh."
A beat.
"So, you can play with me, right?" Franz spoke up again.
"Hurm. Yeah, sure."

Franz, his sister Ann's only son, was part of the Ruhenheim Scout Troop. Conrad would, at Ann's request, go with them on hike's. Eventually, he'd crawl out of his shell. He'd become the troop's guide, leading them on trips, helping them grow. He'd become beloved, and the scouts would become almost like a second family to him.

They stay young for too little time, don't they?

Franz would leave Ruhenheim for College, and Conrad was left all alone once more. His only contact with the outside world was Ann, who one day would come to him bearing a flyer from the Karakura Tourist Board.

"What's this...?"
"It seems like something right up your alley, Conrad." She'd wink, pushing the paper closer to him.
He'd bring it closer to his gesicht, his eyes gliding over the words.
"Kara... kura... Japan, is it?"
"Well, you know Japanese from the BKA program, and I thought a vacation would do you good. An extended one, maybe." Her gaze would drift over to the window. "Maybe even a fresh start."

A fresh start.
