Describe your activity on the server:
I am very active on SRP, spending a lot of my time on the server or working on things related to it. 7-9 hours is the typical time I have ready to spend on SRP, sometimes more. It's definitely taken up a lot of my mind and will continue to do so. I usually have all day on weekends but on weekdays my schedule does limit me to only getting on after 5 PM EST. I don't have a lot going on which would limit me from getting on when needed otherwise!

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
Most of my life has been spent roleplaying in some way, to a point where it's become something I find quite a bit of whimsical joy in. From Roblox games when I was younger, Dungeons and Dragons, Discord roleplays, various Minecraft servers, and now SRP; it's become a huge part of my life.
I tend to gravitate towards more roleplay based DND rather than fighting, and have progressed from being someone who mainly was a player with no interest in DMing to someone who now primarily DMs for several campaigns. I've had more fun making worlds and characters than I did playing, and especially with making an experience me and my friends can all enjoy.
For the more relevant part of this question. . . SRP. I've been playing for over two years now, joining somewhere in late 2022. I didn't have a lot of experience with the server at that time and I do sometimes cringe at my old greenie days, I do not miss Col Green much. . . But I later made a character who still holds a special place in my heart. I connected with so many people, learnt the ins and outs of the city, and fell in love with SRP and all it holds.
I ended up taking a pretty long break after some time, returning over a year later in late 2024 felt like joining a whole new server. So much had changed and yet nothing had changed at all. Not many of the friends I'd made still played, except one or two from my greenie days who helped me get back on my feet, but I ended up making some new friends who I consider quite so very close to me. I've developed so many characters which I love so dearly and continue to develop. I've expanded my roleplay from just playing Grade 12's to exploring younger characters and animals. SRP has given me many skills, including stretching my writing abilities, art, and even helping me learn how to make Minecraft skins.
Only recently have I experienced the joys of a functioning family roleplay, which I've found great fun in working with others to develop dynamics and lore fitting for everyone. It's become a lovely addition to my time on SRP, and I hope it continues to do so.
In addition to that, I've found myself exploring the aspects of shrine and other factions, which was what inspired me to look more into them. While I've had friends in factions before, I hadn't put much thought to applying myself. I originally found myself doubting my own abilities to live up to the standards of writing and character creation of others, but over time with meeting more people who challenged me to progress in my skills and after growing more comfortable on the server and confident in myself, I've started enjoying my writing and thinking myself up to the challenges of a new environment. One that could show me even more sides of SRP.
What is your motivation for applying?
While I do dearly love SRP and have lots of fun playing, I have found myself wanting for more than just what I've so far experienced in roleplay. The school is fun, yes, and I love my characters and how I've developed them, but I've wanted to explore the other aspects of Karakura rather than just what being a student or animal can bring. I've heard many good and interesting things from friends who've gotten in about the Hospital Faction and I've been eyeing it for a while now. It also appeals more to me than most roles on the server, due to a personal interest in medical related fields and psychology in specific. I haven't had the time to look into it as much as I've wanted, but I desperately wish to know more and gain the knowledge needed to play as a character in such a job.
Which role are you applying for?
Psychiatrist
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
While my knowledge of the roles remains limited to that of which is readily available information, I can provide short summaries of each basic role.
Director | The hospital director is the lead of the faction and keeps the place running. They watch over each action and employee and maintain the highest position in the building. |
Paramedic | The emergency responders, ones who go out and help those unable to find their way to the hospital. They should be able to handle the duties of both doctor and psychiatrist, though mainly doctor in most cases. This role is granted, rather than applied for. |
Doctor | Doctors maintain the physical health of the people of Karakura. Trained to deal with any physical wound and illness, they perform surgeries, scans, bandage wounds, and generally handle the physical aspects of health. |
Psychiatrist | Psychiatrists maintain the mental health of the citizens of Karakura. While trained to act in minor emergencies, their main focus is on bettering those with wounds not seen to the physical world, ones which require therapy and guidance. |
Trainee | The lowest ranking position in the hospital, each person starts out this way to better understand the faction before they continue on into a higher role on passing exams. |
There are other roles, relating to the main ones, such as resident psychiatrists, senior resident psychiatrists, clinical managers, etc. But to keep my application short, I focused on just the simple base roles, rather than going into more detail.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes. I acknowledge this, believe it is fair, and do not plan to miss training if i

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS
Character’s Full Name:
The man that sits before you, an easy-going smile on his face, offers a hand to shake. “Name’s Helios Seide, lovely to meet ya.”
Character’s Gender and Pronouns:
He leaned back in the chair, pondering for a moment. “He/Him, but I don’t really care all too much.”
Character’s Age (if accepted):
“Twenty-six years old! Pretty young, I know. . .” He let out a nervous laugh, despite his calm demeanor, it started to become clear he wasn’t entirely immune to the anxieties of applying for a new job. . .
Character’s Academic Background:
At this question, the smile on his face grew to something more confident. “Graduated with a Master’s in Psychology and did Pre-med. Then graduated med school- great grades I must add!”
Character’s Nationality:
He rested his chin on one hand, keeping that friendly expression on his face. “My dad’s British and my mother was American, so’s my step-mom. Grew up in England when I was wayyy younger. . then moved to the States halfway through my childhood.”
Character’s Marital Status:
Helios waved his hand a little as if to dismiss that notion. “Not interested! Not yet at least. . . no reason to settle down for me right now. Romance is fickle, y’know?”
Character’s Religious Denomination:
“Guess I haven’t really thought about it much. . ah. . what's the word. . not atheist. . agnostic! There’s probably somethin’ out there, no idea what.” He hadn’t exactly thought about religion being part of the questions. . but he could go with it!
Character’s Spoken Languages:
The young man held up four fingers! “Spoke English when I was younger, obviously know Japanese since. . y’know, we’re speakin’ it. I also got Greek and French in my roster– my step-siblings are half French, so learnt it for them. . not sure where the Greek came from, my older sister started learnin’ it so I followed her, don’t know her reasoning but it was fun to learn.”
Character Backstory (Optional):
Helios leaned forward, placing his hands clasped together on the table as his tone took on a more dramatic edge, as if telling a story. . . “When I was but a mere lad. . born on the coasts of Cumbria, England - beautiful place, y’know, sometimes visit there when I can - in a large family, wayyyy too many siblings. . god the fighting, never could get along really. Our parents loved us greatly despite our never ending disputes. Some. . things. . happened which resulted in us only having our dad. .” He went quiet, a sore subject it seemed. . . quickly he perked up again! “Great guy! Took great care of us even when we were chaos. . He met our step-mom online. They fell in love, blah blah, sudden wedding, blah blah, moved to America! Spent my teen years in Tennessee helpin’ my dear - very WONDERFUL - step-mother on her farm. Though all that mud and animal issues are a little gross. . I mainly pulled helped with the garden and house chores– my siblings could get their clothes and hair all mucky I was NOT takin’ part in that.” He wrinkled his nose, eugh. “Later on. . my siblings grew older, and older, and started pursuing their goals in life. My older sister following my father’s footsteps, going into journalism and skipping across the country to various locations. . while my younger sister and brother getting into arts and music– lovely pair those two. My other siblings, full, half, and step are all still quite young. . big family, I know. While they all focused on the humanities and arts, I found myself intrigued with science and the matters of the mind. And not just that really, but helping people. I’ve seen the suffering that often plagues the population physically and mentally. . and while I was never really sure if I could match up to a doctor, I knew I could be there for others, and try my best to become someone who could combat the wounds unable to be stitched by needle and thread. My parents were quite supportive, taking me to after school events and helping me save up for med school. . even a huge celebration once I got in– not my dream school unfortunately, but one I quite liked anyway. Once I graduated it took a long while before I figured out where I wanted to place myself. I didn’t wish to stay home, no matter how much I adore my family and the place I grew up in, I do prefer city life and wished to fly free from the nest. . . Japan wasn’t my first choice, I did consider going back to England. . where my father’s family still resides. . but. . I did want a fresh start after all– and Karakura seemed like an interesting place to park.” It was clear he was awfully fond of rambling.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical specialty? Why did they choose this focus?
Helios’ specialty is in child and adolescent psychiatry. He debated for a long time on which path he wanted to follow, but something that pushed him towards focusing on younger minds was his siblings. Despite how he tends to skip over his childhood or spin it in golden thread, there were some difficult times for his family, especially in their moving process from the UK to the US. While he remained largely unaffected, at least externally, his younger siblings required some therapy, which they initially couldn’t afford. With his parents and older sister, Selene, off focusing on providing the money needed to support their large family, he spent his days caring for his siblings and researching cheap therapy, and ways to cope with their newfound issues. This was what spiralled him into this field, and made him want to focus on developing minds and how they are affected by traumatic situations.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
While in his last year of medical school, he interned at a small hospital near his hometown. It wasn’t a very large space, but he found a community there. He spent his time growing used to the motions of taking care of patients, and growing used to the idea of not being able to help everyone all the time. It was not so different from his own chaotic home, with so much happening each day. Though he isn’t completely knowledgeable, being but just an intern, he gained a little information from the experience.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
With a confident stride and sparkling grin, the male before you stood at a standard 5’11”. Curly pink hair striped with pale yellow was obviously well taken care of, complimenting his dark sun kissed skin and just as brightly coloured fashion. Despite having a lovely pair of pale blue-grey eyes, he didn’t determine those quite up to his aesthetic, instead preferring to wear pale yellow contacts to match his ‘theme’. In general, he seemed to greatly value looks, shying away from any mud that could dirty his freshly painted nails or perfectly clear skin. Golden jewelry decorated his face and hands. Materialistic, one might call him, with how he gravitated towards the shiny and extravagant. Contrasting his outward appearance, he wasn’t necessarily rude, just dramatic. Keeping a warm gaze and friendly tone to those who cross his path. A slight sugary scent followed him, almost reminiscent of freshly cut sugar maple.
How does your character act around the hospital?
While remaining dramatic and rambling to those he calls friends, he chooses to be quick and assertive in a work environment. Distractions have no place in a world where he is to be efficient and ready to help any patient any time. He remains gentle and calm to those in need of help, and firm with those causing a racket. Friendly does he keep to his coworkers, and, hopefully someday, friends. With patients he doesn't let any bias get in the way, everyone deserves to be treated, even with. . certain opinions. He tries his best to make sure everyone is comfortable, and that no patient is left untreated on his watch. To call his change from goofy to serious drastic would not be too much of an out there statement. Even if he seems to remain unaffected, sometimes the stress of such a place might get to him, but it’s nothing some retail therapy or a cup of tea won’t help!
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
While he can function well in both settings, other people help quite a bit. He's grown up used to a home where everyone can come together to work, so compromising and figuring out a solution together isn't foreign to him. He isn’t entirely dependent on others, at least he tries not to be, but he is willing to accept help where it is needed, even prefers help in some cases. He’s an extrovert at heart, loves people! Just a silly guy with a heart of gold and a desire to help.
