On the server I'm active most of the day. When I (actually) go to college I'll be active around 8+ hours. However, despite how much I'm on I tend to crash a lot because my laptop disconnects from wi-fi. I can fix that when my other laptop works though. On the forums I'm not actively posting, but I lurk a lot.

What is the Student Council?:
The student council is a group of pupils that have been elected to represent the whole student body of a school. The council is run by students and supervised by adults. A council is often put in place to teach students about leadership and responsibility.
What happens in the School Council?:
In a student council, councilors share ideas on how to improve the school, organize and host events, address concerns and create overall better communication between students and teachers / higher-ups. Sometimes councils work on helping to fund school activities, such as trips or social events.
Do you prefer to work alone or in a group?:
Personally I prefer to work alone because it means I can work at my own pace and there is less chance of conflict. However, I can see the advantages of working in a group - such as receiving criticism and sharing work load - and so I can work in one when necessary.

Yes I have experience in roleplaying. Overall I have been roleplaying for around 7 years, mostly through text.
Roleplay Scenario
You are on the Student Council and the chairman submits an awful idea. What do you do?:
Personally, I would be up front about my opinion. I would make it clear that I don't think the idea is the greatest and suggest that we take a step back to weigh out the pros and cons of the idea. After looking at them I'd try to find an alternative solution whilst incorporating the best points from the chairman's idea.
You submit an idea - everyone hates it. How do you deal with the situation?:
I'd ask them what they don't like about it and how they suggest the idea can be improved. Unless there is absolutely no way it can be improved, which is unlikely, I would continue to suggest alternatives until the council comes to an agreed compromise. If I suggest an idea then the likelihood is that it's something I am serious about changing, thus there is no reason to scrap it completely.
There is a split decision on an idea. The Councilors begin to debate if the idea should be accepted. As time goes on the debate turns into an argument! How do you handle the situation?:
I would do my best to calm the everybody down first. Once everybody is calm and quiet, I would get everybody to voice their own opinions in a peaceful manner. After everybody has listened to each other's ideas and had a chance to think about which side has better points, I'd take a majority vote to decide whether or not the idea should be accepted or not.

What Student Council position are you applying for?:
Council President - if the position isn't available anything is okay, though.
Why do you want this position? :
I want this position because firstly I have noted there is no official Council President. I want to take the position as President because I feel I have strong leadership skills and will be able to successfully lead the council. I want to be able to make a positive contribution to the school whilst taking on a role that means people feel they are able to communicate and share their concerns with somebody.
