Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are essentially the foundation for school roleplay as it is in its name, a school roleplay. Teachers play the part of assisting new players/characters into the new environment, along with answering any questions that the student may have. Teachers patrol the hallways, can step into fights and overall produce a “safe space” amongst students. Aside the technical matter of what a teacher does, in the classrooms they provide a fun roleplaying experience as the teachers are quite experienced in roleplay, giving a proper classroom experience for those attending. Teachers ensure their students behave, both ic and ooc occasionally remind them of what's allowed and what isn't allowed in a gentle manner or stern manner depending on the circumstances. Teachers for each class come up with new ideas and overall tasks for the students to complete, further enhancing the experience of ic learning and ooc enjoying a good school roleplay experience. If a student doesn't understand an assignment in class ic, or has no idea where to go in the school, a teacher can help them figure out where to go, and how to complete the assignment. Teachers also provide a more personal role for ic characters that are a bit shyer, as they help these shyer students get along with the others of the classroom, and ensure that everyone is atleast doing something to be involved. They enforce the code of conduct the school has in terms of rules both ooc and ic. Teachers also prepare their own lessons before each class, thus making each one unique and different from the last. As they are also expected to be the most mature roleplayers on school roleplay as a whole, they are some of the best people to go to during school hours if ic questions need to be answered.

In-Character Section
What's your character's full name?: Shiraia ‘Archer’ Emiya.
What is your character's nationality?: Irish-Japanese.
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Art
Describe your character:
Standing at about 6’1, Archer exudes a sort of intimidating presence with the stoic expression paired with his steel colored gaze that pierces the soul. With a chiseled jaw and firm expression, his overall appearance is well kept and polished. His eyebrows sit neatly on his face, usually his main source of expression when he doesn't contort his face to match. At the end of his brows appears to be a sort of cute z pattern vertically faced. Beneath his baggy clothing is what can only be described as the body of a deity, being incredibly muscular with a perfect hourglass masculine figure to boot. His features are eerily symmetrical yet add to his attractive features. His nose has a gentle rise and fall in the middle, sort of a curve up and down, yet not entirely noticeable. His hair being as silky soft as it is, appears to be combed back with the bottom neatly yet almost shaggy brushing against the back of his neck, sitting about a couple inches down where the bottom of his hairline begins. Archer usually always wears his hair combed back but has the exception of wearing it a bit more shaggily at home. A couple strands of his silvery white locks fall down his forehead a bit, touching his eyebrows lightly. To add on to his rather unique appearance, Archer has a sort of bronze colored skin, kissed by the sun in all the right ways. His voice is rather charming and soothing in sound, deep in tone nearly to baritone level. Some would say his voice could easily put someone to sleep. With impossibly smooth skin, he has oddly enough little to no blemishes on his body or face. (VA is Liam O’ Brian)
As for outfit choice and overall demeanor, Archer tends to wear dark red clothing paired with white or black coloring. Typically he wears all of his outfits in a baggier fashion as he tends to want to hide his more feminine figure. Usually he will wear a watch, and some kind of duffle bag. His usual attire consists of a black button down shirt worn baggy, along with a pair of black pants in a similar style of being baggy. Sitting on his feet are a pair of black combat boots that he’s probably had since he was in his early twenties. Sometimes he wears the sleeves rolled up, or all the way down depending on his mood and outfit.
As for his personality, Archer has quite the contradicting personality that confuses most people due to his nature. Archer is a rather cynical, nihilistic man yet exhibits devoted protective behavior for those around him. He even has a little bit of childish nature that's hard to ignore, up even to the point that it's hard to dislike him. Archer inevitably hates lieing but does tend to express half truths and keep most of his thoughts to himself. Now as he does completely mean well, he can often times come across as sarcastic or even downright mean depending on the person or place of time. While he does have excellent advice, he needs to work on how he can give it without sounding like a sarcastic mean man. With his past of being a mercenary, he's learned how to be incredibly patient and listen carefully to those around him and what they are saying, as it's hard for him to ignore any sort of details. With him being an ex-mercenary now, he has calmed down quite a bit from what he once was, and knows how to handle belligerent people excellently. Beyond his cynical sarcasm and rather snappy remarks, he does have a soft side for younger individuals as he does know they are simply growing and need time to learn how to effectively mature and grow into who they need to be. As he is a quiet person, he enjoys making artwork to put forth his thoughts and creativity.
For preferences, he typically wants to be called by the name ‘Archer’ as using his last or even first name is disliked by him. Never speaks of his past, and prefers to be alone yet will converse with his coworkers when bored or overall wanting to make small talk. Archer had gotten his nickname from his brilliance with the usage of a long bow, people having given him this nickname as he refused to share his legitimate name.
For biology, he is approximately 172 lbs in muscle, and thirty seven years old.
Future plans and or goals. Archer eventually does want to move on in the far future to possibly opening his own restaurant or even a store, but his main goal is to eventually be culinary chef that makes some of the best food in Karakura, as its his passion for cooking and making others happy.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Archer has mixed feelings about students and coworkers, believing that respect and overall view is earned through deeds and actions done. For students, he prefers that they show respect to the teachers and staff of the school due to their lack of experience and overall age. Students in his mind are moldable individuals who have alot to learn, and he knows he can help with that. Overall, he has a somewhat positive outlook on students as he wants the best for them, and wants them to learn respect and self honor. As for the coworkers he tends to see them as people he doesn't quite NEED to get along with, but can learn to get along with them perfectly fine. He views his coworkers as people who aren't as moldable, and people who he doesn't want to be as open to him with personal information. This is the opposite for students as he does want to help students and aid in their development. With coworkers he's more willing to discuss darker matters of reality as he knows they have been through quite a bit, refusing to talk about that kind of thing with students. Archer overall has a positive outlook on both students and coworkers, it all boiling down to how respectful they are both to themselves, and to the people around them. His outlook on students and coworkers also depends on how they treat animals and their own personal belongings aswell.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Archer wants to make the world a better place, knowing it all starts with the newest generation, the students. Archer has always had a sort of passion for artistry and enjoys helping people, so he decided putting two and two together would be a fun experience, and something entirely new for himself. As mentioned before he believes that students can be some of the most moldable people, enabling them to learn and succeed easier. His outlook on teaching is that it is incredibly important for those new, developing minds. As he does have a softer spot for the younger generation, talking with them about subjects is a bit easier in regards to artistry and creativity. He wants to teach others that creativity is a blessing, something that can be used to express thoughts and emotion beyond just words and meaningless speech. He has an altruistic desire to leave a lasting impact on the students he teaches, and help them improve their lives little by little. Archer has a desire to produce a very safe working environment for both students and coworkers alike, wanting a more comfortable setting. Per usual, he also does want to teach for the money involved so that he is able to support himself and anyone in need. Unlike most other jobs in Karakura, teachers are able to have time off when school isn't active, allowing for him to have his own personal life that he can achieve and pursue. Knowing how populated the school is along with how many other coworkers there are, he knows he can possibly learn about everyone and not have to spend his time being completely solitary outside of school hours, being a teacher is perfect for him to interact with others.
Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Archer would approach the student with a gentle yet stoic attitude, asking what part of the subject the student seems to struggle on. When the student replies with the answer, he will gently guide them through it in terms understandable, and even provide a sort of example so that its easier to understand. Should the student still struggle to understand he will help them directly the first time, and allow the student to properly complete the activity on their own for the second version. He will explain the basics of how to complete the task/assignment, and demonstrate how its done should it be difficult for the student to understand. He will determine the best method of how to explain the content to the student based upon their personality, and how they respond. He would also ask the student to rephrase what they have heard in their own words to attain a better understanding as to where they may be going wrong that causes them confusion. Archer may also have another student work with the confused one to help aid them in understanding the subject a bit better, knowing that another student may do a bit better. If absolutely needed Archer will repeat the basics of the content for the student to comprehend it, showing images or video to allow them to visualize what needs to be done. Archer will also use ****ogies and real life situations if need be.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
He absolutely hates when a student interrupts class, as he believes it's completely disrespectful and disregarding class rules. Firstly, Archer would have already established rules in the beginning of the class to ensure that the students know what not to do, essentially saying no speaking during lessons, no getting up without asking etc. Should he see a student acting in such a disrespectful manner during class, he will sternly remind the student as a first warning to not be disruptive again. Should the student continue and not cease with their behavior, he will give a second warning saying that if the student does not stop, he will have to kick them from class so he can continue the course with the other students. During this second warning he will ask the student to swap chairs with another to discontinue the chatter and joking. If said student was doing this for the whole classroom, they would have been asked to leave immediately. If the student is simply doing this with just a couple other students, he will still give that second warning and make them move. Should they continue for the third time, he will say he had warned them before dismissing them from class, not allowing them back inside as he had clearly given three warnings ahead of time. After class, he will remind the student of what the rules are before walking away and leaving them be. How his tone sounds typically depends on the severity of the student’s disruption, as he will be a bit less stern if the student should listen right away. Either way, he does not tolerate a disruptive student or classroom, shutting the situation down immediately should it get out of hand.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Color splash! An interactive idea that involves students taking a small cup of water and mixing whatever food coloring or bit of paint, making colored water. Once this colored water has been made, it will be splattered onto a piece of large paper with a brush to provide a sort of colored pattern. Once this pattern has dried, the student will be given markers and pencils, along with a ink pen to produce an art piece with the pattern on the page. This pattern can be used as a background or even used to create a piece in general. The student is only limited to what they have on the page color wise but can choose whatever color they want for the splash pattern. There will be a theme for each drawing so it isn't always just a free handed draw, keeping it within a certain limit, and overall providing a sort of guidance for what students can draw if they have art block.
The second interactive idea is Landscaping. Archer will ask the students to take a look around the classroom or even bring them to a part of the school that allows them viewing to the outside, whether through a window or even just to the outside of the school. Once this has been done, he will ask them to take a picture for reference and keep it saved. Back in the classroom, he will ask the students to choose an era from three that he will provide so that the options aren't limitless. Whichever era of Japan has been voted to be the one the students wish to do, he will ask them to draw the pictures they had taken in that era that was voted.
The third idea is called Trio of Colors, an idea where the students spin a wheel full of colors, only being able to use three colors to produce some sort of artwork. A theme will be chosen, and the students are given ink pens and pencils. The colors will each be completely different from one another so that it makes the artpiece a bit more unique. The theme will be just about anything and typically will be chosen by Archer in a sort of genre of fantasy, modern, futuristic or even realistic. Trio of Colors uses water colors to make it a bit more interesting, helping them figure out how to properly use it.
The fourth idea involves the students choosing an artist from the older eras, or even just from the artstyle of that time. Archer will then take the art supplies mainly used from that era and hand them to the students, presenting various themes to draw with that style. This could involve landscaping, animals, portraits and more. This may involve art supplies using oil paints, charcoal and more.
A Keyhole to a different world, an interactive idea where Archer will give the students an option to choose a type of key hole from a door used from any era, typically will ask the students to find a picture of a see through key hole but its mainly more about the shape of it. In the keyhole would be artwork of whatever is on the other side, this will usually be a theme chosen by Archer. These themes can be just about anything, and depending on the theme he may have the students using just pencils, ink pens, markers, oil paints, or even water color. The handle of the door and keyhole itself will also be colored, but the main focus is on what's on the other side of the 'door'.
This next idea is a bit more unique in terms of how to do it, and for how intricate the designs will be. Taking a dust pan, Archer will have the students choose atleast three to four colors of paint, and pour them into lines on the dust pan. Before this paint is ever poured into the dust pan, he will make sure there is a tarp on the ground that will keep the floor from getting messy, as the canvases will be placed on the ground from how large they will be. He will then ask the students to make a gradient background for the artwork on the canvas, usually being contrasted colors from the three to four colors used for the main piece of the artwork. Once the gradient background has been made, that is when its left to dry for a bit before he asks the students to place the paint colors into the dust pan. In doing so, he will ask the students to begin pouring the paint onto the canvas with a flick of their wrist, making the pattern more of a splatter or even wavy lines. With the pattern then made, he will give each student paint brushes to choose from in order to enhance the pattern and make it more unique, such as a larger brush or even a smaller one. They are able to add extra lines, and make the artwork in any way they so desire at that point.
