Describe your activity on SchoolRP:
I'm online quite often (mostly on Zaldoria) pretty much every day. Typically between 10 pm-8 am. I am self-employed so It tends to give me a lot of free time to be on the server, and that leads to being online for a couple of hours a day usually.

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:
While I'm fairly new to the SchoolRP community, I do have quite a history of roleplay within Minecraft. I don't go on many roleplay networks, however, I do have a lot of experience with roleplaying on creative servers. Mostly older creative plot servers where you'd find like say a family roleplay, or a business roleplay plot. My experience within SchoolRP is fairly short but I've established a pretty solid group of friends on the server.

What are your current roles on SchoolRP:
I currently have one grade 12 character and one Grade 11 character

What is the subject you want to teach?:
epistemology/Metaphysics (Philosophy)

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

IC motivation
Milo has had a long history of not being able to do a lot for the people closest to him in life and from an accidental trip to Karakura he fell in love with the city and he had a realization that teaching was his calling, as a result, he felt a fire re-ignite inside of him to give it just one more shot. Except for this time, he'd focus on improving the next generation of young adults growing into the massive world around them. Hoping to teach them something that'd last them the rest of their life. Knowing what it's like to lose everything and have no one, he wants to provide a figure of compassion and care for all of his students so they never feel forgotten or lost. "You can always come talk to me, Dutch Milo"

OOC motivation
My motivation for becoming a professor stems from my interest in education and teaching about things I myself am passionate about and bringing in classes that are more interactive and require actual thinking instead of just googling answers, as well as having fun with it. I feel like overall I could personally bring some very unique and interesting classes as well as some really unique roleplay experiences within my classes, and as well as providing new and interesting roleplay experiences, I can help myself grow and help others expand their characters and my own character and become better at roleplaying as a result. This will also be enhanced by being able to roleplay with more experienced roleplayers within our community.

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:
1. "Thought-provoking Thursday" The class would start off with a brief statement from Dr. Milo something thought-provoking in nature such as, "What do you think Deja Vu is for" after a few minutes of the students speculating. Dr. Milo would have them all break off into groups of four and give them 20 minutes to discuss the topic more in-depth within their groups to see if they could possibly figure out the answer. The team with the best collective answer gets one reward token each. After the 20 minutes, he'd have them all present their collective information to the whole class. However, there isn't a correct answer. It's just a thought experiment to see what their minds could come up with. He'd then explain that what they did was lead to a theory and "Correct" answer to a question that in fact does not have one, and the beauty of the human mind in how it can logically define things that have no real definition.

2
. The class would start with Dr. Milo opening the class by explaining consciousness and then he'd place a model plane on the desk, the model would be very detailed and all the parts would be visible. He'd ask the students to come up and inspect the model plane one by one and write down notes about it, they can write down anything about the plane. When it comes time to present the information they gathered he'd have students present their information about the plane, and what they noticed. Once everyone is done, he'd ask one simple question "yes, but which part is the plane?" As the students are confused, he'd say that the plane is just the sum of all of its parts, just like consciousness, there is no one point of the human that IS the human, just like the plane is just a sum of all it's parts, so are humans. There is no one point that makes us human, just as there is no one part that makes a plane a plane.

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:
The Field trip would be to the beach to have a peaceful session of relaxation and meditation if they'd like just some time to have some introspection with themselves. It'd be relatively quiet with a few interjections by Dr. Milo to help them along. Maybe some calming music playing but mostly just the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach, a peaceful serenity of self-learning and self-development. They'd all be handed notebooks prior to leaving the classroom to write down everything they've thought/learned and the next class after the field trip they'd present everything they wrote to the class. Potential to gain a reward token here, depending on what they write, but overall it's just a thought experiment and a calming day spent at the beach learning and hanging out with their fellow students.

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

Dr. Milo would walk up casually and ask what was going on and ask the bobcat jock if everything is alright. Provided there is not enough context to make immediate action, depending on the bobcat jock's tone/response he'd either walk away and continue about his day or pull them aside to ask some more in-depth follow-up questions regarding what was happening and why they were surrounding them.

Your character would be supervising detention, and one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?
At first, he'd respectfully but sternly request that they stop asking questions and return to their work. If they continue he'd simply mention that they're wasting their time and that the longer they keep asking dumb questions the longer they're stuck in detention, so it'd best to just get to it and pony up and finish their work. If they still persist even after that. depending on who else is in the room and if they're disturbing others' trying to get their work done he'd either call for SLT or just let the student continue to waste their time blabbering stupid questions

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and calling out other students in the class, what would your character do?
He would pause what he was doing and politely request that their music be turned off and pay attention to the class. "You guys know better than to do this here" Music is great and all but it has its place and time a classroom about Philosophy is neither the time nor place. If they kept going he'd ask once more sternly. "I said turn the music off, Now." he's a little fed up and feels slightly disrespected at this point. If all attempts failed to stop them, he'd start handing out detentions.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?
Due to the failed attempt at breaking up the students from fighting, he'd reach for his walkie requesting other members of faculty to come and assist and there are currently students fighting that refuse to break up. While Faculty is on their way he'd continue to try to break up the fight himself in hopes that maybe they'll stop. Once the other members of the Faculty arrived he'd assist them in helping to break up the fight, once the fight was broken up every single student involved would be given detention. No exceptions.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What do they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?
Milo Harrold Dutch "Dutch Milo" as his friends call him is a 50-year-old from North Carolina with greyish/white hair and a big bushy beard. He stands six feet even and speaks with a very confident but modest tone. He has bright blue eyes one being very slightly darker than the other. He's typically wearing his red scarf and black trench coat and walks with a cane due to an injury sustained in his mid 30 that shattered his kneecap.

His personality is that of your average 50-year-old man. Wise, Cautious, and Serious with a playful undertone, he's the type of person you can lean on and he'll always help out if he's able to. He just wants to see others succeed. He cares deeply about those closest to him and would do absolutely anything for them. Around strangers, he's a bit more on edge and careful before interacting but he's still absolutely willing to help out a random stranger.

Dedicating his early adult life to his studies has left him somewhat confused and slightly existential on the inside, he's very confused with where his life is heading and his divorce has only spiraled him deeper into this blur. He thought he'd be happier without her, but he's honestly just very indifferent about the entire situation. being 50 years old now, he's just now realizing that he's halfway through life and has decided since he can't really help himself he should dedicate the remainder of his life to helping others as much as he physically and mentally can.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.
age 0-13
Milo Harrold Dutch was born October 18th, 1972 in Wilmington, North Carolina, and is one of 5 siblings. He has two older brothers, one younger brother named Sean, and a younger sister. He's the closest to his younger brother him since they're the closest in age. Only being 2 years apart. growing up They both really enjoyed reading and would often have deep conversations about dumb things like what language animals speak, and if animals share the same thought process as humans. These early childhood conversations would spark his interest in Philosophy and metaphysical study.

age 14-18
Leading into his teenage years, he started to notice his brother's declining interest in everything, so he made it his mission to help his younger brother and re-ignite his passion for similar studies. His younger brother found himself having a bit of a rebellious streak leaning into various criminal activities. Unknown to Milo, of course, he just thought his brother was out with his "Friends" he always spoke so highly about.

age 19-22
When Milo moved out of his parent's house he offered to let his younger brother move in with him to help him get back on his feet. His brother reluctantly accepted and promptly moved in with Milo. Everything was going great His brother got a job in some office doing paperwork all day. Which Milo found boring but his brother was happy so he was too. Milo was busy with his studies anyways. Everything was going great His brother had a job, and he was on track to get his bachelor's degree.

age 23-25
Milo has gotten his bachelor's degree and has started to work on his Master's He was out celebrating with some friends when he came home and saw his brother passed out on the kitchen floor. Panicking he rushed to see if he was alright, "SEAN ARE YOU OKAY, SEAN WAKE UP, SEAN PLEASE" he was screaming frantically he called 911, and they arrived and rushed him to the hospital but he was pronounced dead before he arrived. This loss broke Milo. Losing the one person he was closest to. He would always blame himself for this. For not being there for focusing too much on his damn "book words" as his brother often called them.

age 26-27
As a result of his brother's passing. Milo would take a year off his studies. Lacking the motivation to continue due to the loss of his brother. He'd eventually move to Wilson, North Carolina to attend Barton College to continue his Master's degree since he had dropped out from Appalachian State University. He'd never get over his younger brother's passing but it would motivate him to continue his studies. A spark one day hit him, that he could dedicate his entire life to one thing and miss out on so much. Shortly after he found a wonderful girlfriend "Jayme Potters" she was a small girl only about 5'5 compared to his 6-foot height. But they got along well and started dating. She also had an interest in similar studies. For the first time since Sean's passing Milo felt genuinely happy.

age 28-36
Milo and Jayme would start spending a lot of time together, and Since Milo had recently just gotten his Master's he was able to spend some time and travel. they visited Jayme's city of Raleigh and they'd decided to settle down and get married there. Milo soon after started working on his Ph. D. at North Carolina State University and this was probably the peak of his life, great studies beautiful wife, in a wonderful city.

age 37-45
Milo's Ph. D. was completed one year prior. He and Jayme were living in Raleigh happily married but something felt off... Milo wanted something more he wanted to explore more of the world, he had been all over North Carolina at this point but had never traveled around the world, let alone the country! Jayme wasn't a big fan of traveling and liked her content life at home, So Milo decided to go by himself. For the next year or so he'd travel the world endlessly exploring various states, countries, and cities. On his way back home he had a 48-hour overlay in a city in Japan called Karakura and he fell in love with the place, but he knew Jayme would never move to Japan! She wouldn't even move to Florida.

age 46-48
Once Milo made it back to the states he'd try to convince Jayme to move to this city in Japan with him. It'd lead to a massive fight, and she explained how insane it was that he just got back after an entire year of not seeing her, and he wants to completely uproot his and her life and move to the other side of the planet. She exclaimed, "Since you love japan so much you don't need me!". Hearing this broke Milo's heart the girl he loved and married.. did she just leave? Is she coming back? It'd be another two weeks before he heard from her, and the next time he did he was being served divorce papers.

age 49-50
After the divorce, Milo decided to move to Japan. he decided since he can't really help himself and everything he does to improve his own personal life falls through, he remembered that he had quite the ability to explain his studies to people who don't really understand them that well and realized that he could use this to help to improve the next generation, and he saw an ad looking for professors for a college and he jumped on that opportunity, after all, he's quite qualified.
