So, I’ve been thinking… a lot of things in SRP require Discord, and I know people who don’t have that (Including myself). I was brainstorming, and then an idea came to me! What if there was a website that was used as a “discord replacement”? Instead of using Discord, people could just do a command, example: /strawberry. It would take the players to a website like the /homework website, they’d click to log in as whatever character they’re on, and it’d list updates on their job or sports teams (I think discord is still needed for sports…) or maybe oocly or icly chats (or both). There could be a IRP “HS Cheerleader Team” chat that would have any updates or whatever, same with jobs. Ex: “Caretaker Team” or “Faculty Team” with updates on what’s going on in school, etc… So players without discord ( like myself :p ), or also with discord can just log in to a nice and safe website to give them info on sports teams/jobs/whatever else you need Discord for.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Players without (or with) discord can get jobs as faculty members, or join sports teams.

I know this isn't a gang related question, but the result ended the same, discord is what we use for our communication across all factions.

Unfortunately we can not phase discord out of schoolRP, it has become too integral for things to operate

Don't fix what isn't broken.
If you avoid Discord because of the not so nice people that often use it, then it's super easy to just avoid them! If you don't use the app for other reasons, not really got much to say.

Honestly, here’s my take on this. Nowadays discord is a must-use tool for it the server to be able to function. I get thats where OOC communication happens at. But as for someone who didn’t have discord for personal reasonings for two years- it was hard to be able to do things on the server. If you didn’t have discord you’d get pushed aside and be left out of things ICLY because you don’t have a platform that the community OOCLY uses. I believe there should be an alternative way for people who don’t have discord to still feel included and not be restricted on most things.

I understand that SRP has revolved around discord ever since the server was started and it’s hard to do something different. Instead of replacing something that’s so integrated with the server why not have an alternative way for those who can’t use discord- for the reasonings they may have- be implemented? As I mentioned earlier- for someone who didn’t have discord for two years it was hard to fit in and do things on this server because I didn’t have the platform for OOC uses- it feels exclusionary to those people. We should try to include those who don’t have the platform in any way possible not push them aside just because they can’t have discord. It might be harder to do things for those who don’t have the platform but what matters is your including them and not leaving them on the sidelines to feel left out.

Instead of the website in the idea as being a replacement, it could just be for people who don't have Discord?

I need discord to become an adult, right? I heard you have to get a job and stay in for three months before retiring, but I can't get a job cause I dont have discord so is there any other way to get adult tag without disc?
