do you need discord if you get an application accepted??

hi! so, im thinking of applying for a school-employee application, and it DOES ask if you have discord, but it seems to be optional. I don't have discord, so I just wanted to ask if it is always required if you get accepted, or if you can get by without it??

Discord is required to have for faction roles as we use discord for our quota systems, communication, and notices/updates that we need to keep up to date on

Discord is not only required for Faction jobs including School Employee many families also require you to have discord so the leads can have direct contact with you and so you can get caught up with family events, changes, etc.
