I feel that the jail system needs to be fixed.
When my friend threw a single snowball towards a group, it hit an officer in the large crowd of people. She was arrested instantly after being pinned to a wall and threatened. Thinking this was unfair I tried to talk to the officer, but I got no responses, so to get their attention, I threw snowballs at the officer to bring up the *you where hit with a snowball by *blank** notification. But there was still no response so i continued to do it until my friend was sent to jail and i was tazed with a god-mod sentence. Unfair yes but i was not too worried about this. When I was sent to jail the officer came to tell us that for 'throwing snowballs' (or they considered it "assaulting an officer") we had to spend 13 months in jail. A whole 13 months! If not, then we could bail out with money. But the bail was too high at $135,000 that a newcomer of 3 days had no way of achieving. And this was for both of us, even though I had clearly done more than my friend had.
Now this is where it gets a little complicated, because the arrest only lasts for 40 mins. So once the 40 minutes where over, I was free to go. I waited it out, and left the game afterwards. The next day I was greeted by the same officer, now in a different role-play character. They told me i was not allowed to be my character, because they were in jail. Even though the 40 minutes were up. They even invited a moderator to help back them up. My options where to continue in jail for 13 months, pay the bail money, or change my skin, name and character behaviour. When I tried to tell the moderator what circumstance I was in, and that this was unfair, not just for me but also for my friend, they simply wouldn't do anything and forced me to change character or spend time in jail. I like my character the way it is, so I decided to just leave and apologise for the inconvenience.
I later look online to see if there was anything like this happening to other people. I ended up finding a you-tube video of a you-tuber getting arrested on the same server. After joining a gang, he was arrested for being found with alcohol/drugs and caught giving it to younger grades. Before this, he runs from the police to eventually be caught and brought against a wall. He claimed that the alcohol was placed on him and he was not a part of it. Later on he was sentenced to only 2 months in jail and bail money of $30,000. Both of these were no where near mine, and was for far worse crimes. His friends did eventually bail him out though, he was only there for less than half an hour.
I'm not saying that the server is bad, in fact I really enjoyed it. But something is wrong with the people who take over and get too caught up in their roles. If this is not fixed soon, I might never play on such a great server again. Please understand that I'm only trying to stop further complications, and the police should give warnings instead of arresting them and forcing them to pay unrealistic amounts. I hope this is seen and people understand where I'm coming from.
Thanks from the guy you don't know,
