School Employee Role you are applying for?: Receptionist

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for: A receptionist serves as an assistant who greets and assists students and faculty as they enter the school. A receptionist's primary responsibilities include scheduling appointments, providing school information, and directing visitors to the appropriate departments or individuals.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?: I am not an expert in roleplay, but I do have a general understanding and some basic knowledge of it. I have participated in a few roleplaying sessions both on Discord and in real life, and I have always found them to be enjoyable and engaging.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?: I am keen about the dynamics of a school environment and the difficulties that come with managing students and faculty. I also like the idea of playing a specific role within a larger group.

Situations

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?: If a student were to start cursing at Shogo during a work-shift, Shogo would stay calm and handle the situation professionally. He would listen to the student's complaints first, and then calmly explain that it's not okay to speak to others that way. Shogo would offer to help the student with any concerns they may have and try to make things better. After that he would send the student off on their way.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?: If Shogo were to witness two students physically fighting in the hallway, he would immediately call for backup by alerting nearby staff members. He would also keep a safe distance from the altercation to avoid getting hurt or making the situation worse. Once the situation is under control, he would then document the incident and inform the appropriate school authorities. Shogo would also ensure that any injured students receive medical attention as soon as possible.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?: If Shogo were to witness another school employee engaging in inappropriate and dangerous behavior during their work. He would immediately ask for assistance by contacting security or nurses. He would approach the employee calmly and professionally and try to reason with them. He would warn them about the consequences of their actions and ask them to stop immediately. Even after his intervention, if the employee continues to act inappropriately, he would then document the incident and report it to the Highschool Principals or the College Deans.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act? When Shogo is in the employee break room, he would be professional and respectful to his coworkers. He would make the most of the chance to socialize with his coworkers, while also maintaining appropriate boundaries and refraining from any behavior that could be seen as unprofessional or offensive. He would interact in small talk or share a snack, but he would always be aware of his responsibilities and ready to return to his duties if needed.

Backstory

Shogo Fujita's childhood was a peaceful one, spent in the countryside of Japan. He was born to loving parents who instilled in him the values of kindness, empathy, and respect for others, which inspired Shogo to follow in their footsteps. Growing up with no siblings, Shogo had all of his parents' attention and love. As a young child, Shogo found joy in helping his parents with various tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and gardening. He took pride in his ability to assist them and make their lives a little easier. As he grew older, this desire to help others only became stronger. He quickly discovered the satisfaction and fulfillment that came with lending a hand to those in need.

After graduating from high school, Shogo was uncertain about what career path to pursue. He was interested in learning about different cultures and connecting with people from various backgrounds. With this in mind, he enrolled in college and majored in international relations with a minor in social science. During his time in college, Shogo excelled academically and participated in numerous extracurricular activities. He volunteered at local community centers and attended cultural exchange events, where he was able to connect with people from all over the world.

After graduating at the age of 24, Shogo landed a job as a customer service worker for a foreign company. Despite the job being well-paying, Shogo felt unfulfilled and realized that his true passion was in working directly with people in a more personal capacity. He began searching for job opportunities that would allow him to interact with people on a daily basis and came across a job posting for a receptionist position at KHS.

The position piqued Shogo's interest because it aligned with his desire to work in a positive and safe learning environment that values education. Shogo believed that he possessed the necessary skills and qualities to thrive in the role, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously. With a genuine desire to assist others and a passion for connecting with people from different backgrounds, Shogo applied for the receptionist position at KHS.


Motivation for Joining KHS: I am excited in working in an environment that values education and helps promote a positive and safe learning environment for all students. I am confident in my ability to thrive in this role, which includes outstanding communication and relations skills, and the ability to work together efficiently. I am also highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and duties at the same time, which I believe is essential when working as a receptionist. As a receptionist, I would provide excellent service to all students, and staff members, making sure that their needs are fulfilled. Overall, I am thrilled with the idea of working as a receptionist at KHS.

While I have not worked in a formal school setting before, I have volunteered at local community centers and attended cultural exchange events during my time in college. These experiences gave me the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of people, including students and educators, and to learn about different educational systems and approaches.

At the community centers, I assisted with after-school programs and helped students with homework and various projects. I also worked alongside educators to develop engaging and educational activities for the students. These experiences taught me valuable skills such as patience, effective communication, and adaptability, which I believe are essential for working in a school environment.

Additionally, attending cultural exchange events gave me a unique perspective on different educational systems and approaches from around the world. I had the opportunity to learn about different teaching methods and strategies and how they are applied in various countries. Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?: I believe that I should be chosen over other applicants because of the unique type of abilities and expertise that I can bring to the role of receptionist. I have previous customer service experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills, which I believe are essential for successfully communicating with students, and other faculty members. Furthermore, I am a quick learner who can easily adapt to new situations and technologies. I am also highly organized which I believe are essential qualities for a receptionist. I can also work well under pressure and in a quick surroundings, both of which are necessary in a school environment.
