Describe your activity on the server:
I’d say I’m relatively active compared to the average player. I log on both weekdays and weekends, maintaining a good balance between server activity and my everyday responsibilities. I attend College and a job; however, I do both from home, which allows me to be consistently more available than most players. I have been actively playing SRP since 2020. Since then, I have been the College male Volleyball captain for 7 months, a Spartan footballer (started early 2024 and ended recently), and the current sports club lead.
What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation for applying to this faction derives from my strong desire to explore other factions I have yet to be a part of. Participating in roleplay across different settings can improve an individual's quality of roleplay with enough time. As someone who is striving to improve in any way I can, KPD piques my interest as a reliable way to build on my roleplay quality. In addition to self-improvement, I want to experience GangRP even if it’s a little bit.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police are essential to the safety of everyone in Karakura. As the main fighting force against the mass amounts of gangs, they handle any illegal acts caused by gangs or black market affiliates. They play a vital role in ensuring citizens' safety and in enforcing the law. KPD is an essential faction in SchoolRP because most other factions are affiliated with it. Without the KPD, GangRP would become boring without anyone to rival the mass influx of gangs. Other factions, such as EMS, often communicate with KPD and work hand in hand.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Laurence stands at a solid 6’0” (182.88 cm) and weighs in at 177 lbs. His build was a balance of muscularity, height, and health. He had unkempt brown hair, rich brown eyes, and light tan skin. Laurence had the innate ability to switch from his professional to his casual attitude very quickly. His usually joyous personality was followed by a beaming smile that captivated anyone around him. He came off as a young man who was rather approachable and kind.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
Laurence strives to keep his casual and professional personalities separated. When in a professional environment, he carries himself with confidence. Maintaining his serious attitude until the job is done. Due to the conditions he and his family dealt with growing up, Laurence is laser-focused and determined to make his family and his older siblings proud.
Alternatively, Laurence is a carefree, joyous young man in casual settings. Practically a ray of sunshine for those around him, he aims to make his peers smile and laugh. For him, it’s his true way to his own happiness. His casual day is very sporadic, as if he were going with the flow of the entire day.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Laurence views teamwork as a key to his success. He deeply values working together in groups or teams over working alone. Having worked with both his siblings from a young age, Laurence has spent a long time in team-centered settings and believes that, with the right people, a team mindset, and a bit of effort, anything is truly possible.
What's your character's backstory?
The Beginning
Laurence was born into a wealthy and prestigious family as the youngest sibling. A family that owned its own wine company was the Ferrera family. From a young age, his family, specifically his older brother and sister, showed him unconditional love as he progressed through his early childhood years.
As Laurence proceeded with his schooling and his early childhood, he had a dark, recurring problem in the family that he had not discovered yet. Their father was mentally and sometimes physically abusive towards the children. Although Laurence hadn’t yet become a victim of this, he noticed it in his older siblings through bruises and scars. He would ask what happened to them, but they would tell him not to worry about it or that they had fallen. They did this to protect him and his purity at such a young age.
Discovery
Laurence flew through his elementary school and middle school years with minimal difficulty regarding grades and understanding of material. He enjoyed school and all of the connections he made along the way. When Laurence turned 14 and it was time to start High School, he had nothing but excitement and hope. This was, until he made a sickening discovery. He truly found out what had happened to Francesca and Lorenzo when he was young. Together, the three sat down with Laurence and spoke with him about the sad truth about their family. The two explained that all of the bruises that formed on both their bodies, the scars that remained, and the tears that were shed were caused by their father. Immediately, he was scared and worried for his own safety. Was he going to suffer the same fate as his older siblings? As time went on, their father only became worse. Now that Laurence was older and knew his father for what he truly was, he attempted to keep his distance, but this only angered him. With this newfound rage, he centered his anger on Laurence, attacking him verbally. He would scream at him, telling him that he’s too dependent on his siblings and that he will be nothing once they are gone. Entangled in despair and sadness, Laurence had a horrible start to his first two high school years. The emotions became so unbearable that he began thinking he really was too dependent on his siblings, and he was nothing without them. His happiness and joyous self began to fade into the past, slowly withering away. Just as he thought he had lost his old cheerful self, a breakthrough happened. A breakthrough that was practically a blessing for Laurence and his family. Their father left when their mother finally put her foot down and declared that enough was enough.
Left Behind
Now that his father is gone, Laurence is working to get his life back to what it was before. He improved his grades by becoming more involved in classes; his mother even got him a tutor to speed up the process. Now with a supportive mother and improving grades, his cheerful personality slowly but surely crept back to Laurence. Reaching a new high in his life, he felt like everything was finally turning around for the better. Laurence finished his final two years of high school with significant improvement in both his grades and his mindset. Everything was going as well as it could until Francesca and Lorenzo graduated from college and moved to Karakura. Conflicted, he was happy for them for such a significant achievement. But on the other side, he never felt as lonely as he did. This was the first time he felt truly alone, the two support systems he had other than his mother moving to a completely different country. There was only one thing he could do: adapt.
A New Future
With his two older siblings now gone to their respective career paths, Laurence was left to find his. He had one motivator in his mind: to prove his father wrong. Prove that he didn’t need anyone holding his hand to succeed in life. He had a long talk with his mother and decided college was the best way to practice and learn independence. He was ready to enroll in college, motivated and with a new goal in mind. He wanted to follow in his older brother's footsteps and become a police officer. He went to college in his home country and studied Criminal Justice. He spent 4 years of college intensely studying Criminal Justice so he could carve his own path to success. He moved out of his home as the final child to leave, living in his dorm, another way he practiced independence. His determination and focus earned him excellent college grades and a wealth of knowledge in Criminal Justice.
A Risk Worth Taking
At the young age of 25, Laurence graduated from college with flying colors, a new mindset and motivation, and finally felt in touch with the cheerful self he had been as a teenager. He was now free to do with his degree as he pleased, but he wanted only one thing. To move to Karakura, join the Karakura Police Department and follow in his brother's footsteps. To show them how far he has come, to prove his father wrong, and most importantly, to serve and protect Karakura. To protect and serve the city that welcomed his older siblings with open arms.
General knowledge
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“No, it is illegal to carry a pocket knife around in Karakura. If found with a pocket knife, you will be taken into custody and serve 3 months in Jail with a Felony charge. The bail for this charge is 150k.”
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“If I witness an act like this in front of me, action needs to be taken immediately. I would radio both other officers and any higher-ups about this situation. If found safe enough, I would step in and separate the officer and the inmate. Once a higher-up has detained the officer, I would ensure the inmate doesn’t need medical attention and radio for EMS if needed. The officer will be taken into questioning and likely receive an assault charge, and his position as an officer would be at risk.”
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“If I see my co-worker being assaulted, I would radio for backup as quickly as possible with the current location. A verbal warning would be given before taking physical action to separate if verbal warnings weren’t enough. Once the situation has been put under control, I would examine the assaulted co-worker for any injuries that may require medical attention. Afterwards, the individual who assaulted the officer would be arrested for assaulting a Government official, which would be 6 months behind bars.”
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“A corrupt co-worker, firstly, I would keep it quiet between my co-workers, to not stir up too much conspiracy or unwanted drama. I would gain any information or evidence of these corrupt actions and report them to a higher-up immediately. It is rare, but it can affect the safety of citizens in Karakura. Our job is to serve and protect the community under any circumstances."
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“That’s a new one.. I would start with a verbal warning, informing the individual that attempting bribery on an officer is a fineable offense. If the bribery continues for some reason, I would give the individual a fine and tell them that behavior is absolutely unacceptable.”
