----------------

The Harlequin Virus arrived / set foot into the City of Karakura on the 1st of December, 2019, shortly after a blizzard occurred, causing a few major issues with the school & it's overall state - However people deemed that the issues of this new climate would only go as far as the school itself.

The virus is complex and most importantly dangerous if left un-treated. However this document has been issued out to the public in order to gain a better understanding of how it works and to most importantly keep you and your friends safe.

The Harlequin virus can be fatal. It was originally found in 1985 within the sewers of Takashima City well before it's downfall in late 2016/2017. Local authorities alongside scientists simply shrugged it off and deemed it less important compared to their other projects, e.g Project HAARP.

Despite Project HAARP being a complete and utter failure (MORE ABOUT THIS CAN BE LEARNT IF YOU CLICK HERE) it was far too late to even investigate the effects / state of Harlequin due to the cities demolition being imminent. This resulted in the city being destroyed, alongside the sewers flooded, leaving it abandoned and creating an essential home for viruses and other pathogens alongside wildlife to thrive. Which is exactly what it did.

After many years of simply mutating and evolving it acquired it's first ever MAJOR trait, which was that it was now airborne.. Allowing for it to shift from place to place in especially cold climates, with little to no resistance, seeping into every room, every nook and cranny with ease. Since then due to the blizzard as stated before it's settled itself down in Karakura for the Winter ahead. The clock is ticking against the virus, as the cold climate it thrives in will soon be gone. However till then it's effects / impact on the city & most importantly those around you depend on how well of a job citizens do at controlling it.

Symptoms of this virus are usually not present straight away, however usually are apparent after 24 hours to at most a week after being infected.

The Harlequin Virus is here to stay over the course of this winter. All other holiday celebrations and school events will go according to plan however IF this virus is to go out of control measures must be taken by school faculty & authorities themselves in order to keep the citizens of Karakura safe.

A way to keep yourself safe and most importantly alive is to wear a surgical mask, gas mask, etc. Anything to filter / restrict your exposure to air in CROWDED areas. This goes for areas such as the Winter Dance this weekend held in Karakura High..

Merry Christmas. ~ six
