Disclaimer: This is the first part of a folklore series to be done by the Lore Team. Expect many more stories of the supernatural world and its history in Karakura in the coming months.

Amanojaku
Translation: heavenly evil spirits

Described as evil kami, minor oni, or yōkai, these creatures have the reputation of being mischievous and enacting evil deeds upon people. More precisely, they are known to provoke humans to act on their wicked, malicious desires buried deep within their hearts. Spreading their spiritual immortality, to whomever they find.

In Karakura’s history, many horrid deeds have been acted out by its inhabitants, often enough, by people from whom one least expected it. Families of those individuals blaming it on an Amanojaku.

The most famous story, the one of the young girl Satomi Katō, a young and prestigious student at the High School back in 1963. Liked by all in the small town, Katō was the ideal daughter and student. Though one day, after school, the young girl went to discuss an assignment with her teacher, walking with him to the classroom. Other students who were preparing to leave, allegedly claimed that there was a loud crashing and screaming, not of a young girl, but a man. Once the students arrived, the girl was blood-covered, standing over the body of her former teacher, with sharp scissors in hand. Reportedly, as the group arrived, the Satomi Katō offered that same sweet smile she always did.
Once questioned, the girl only giggled and hummed at their attempts, acting as if nothing happened. Even though the blood still stained her arms and body.

Above the messy book piles, you could find a very oddly placed case file. The name written on it 'Satomi Katō'. Wonder where it came from?
