Describe your activity on SchoolRP:
From June to August, I would log on around 2 - 4 PM and be active until around 3 - 6 AM. Now that school has started, I have been logging on for at least a few hours each day on weekends. I may have the occasional weekend where I cannot log on because of schoolwork. Otherwise, I fully intend to be active on days that I do not have class (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). When I have less homework, I may also log in on weekdays. My course schedule is rather flexible, as I am in college.

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:
I have been writing and roleplaying online from the age of 12 (almost 9 years of experience). I joined SchoolRP in early June 2022. Since joining, I have been incredibly active on the server. I really admire the versatility of the server, and that it is not only limited to school roleplay. I have had a ton of fun writing and developing my characters (predominantly Kenta Dai) and I have made some great friends OOCly via in-character interaction.

Forensic scientists examine and ****yze evidence from crime scenes and elsewhere to develop objective findings that can assist in the investigation and prosecution of perpetrators of crime or absolve an innocent person from suspicion" (United States - Department of Justice).



[ TRIVIA SECTION ]

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:
As a college student and the child of two educators, I value education greatly and would enjoy roleplaying from the perspective of a professor. Though I am currently majoring in architecture, I have extensive interest in forensic science and criminology. I believe that a forensic science class would be a fantastic addition to Karakura, especially for students that wish to funnel into KPD. Obtaining a professor's role would also provide more opportunities to interact with talented role-players and explore yet another interesting facet of SchoolRP.

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:
1. [ OOC]: I would like to host interactive class discussions to ****yze local crimes and what we can deduce from the evidence provided.

[ IC ]: Frank paced the front of the room anxiously, hands clasped behind his back. He was keen to share evidence from a prior case on the abduction and alleged murder of judge Yui Tsu's daughter, Fei Tsu. He had prepared a slideshow containing a news report and evidence of Tsu's abuse at the hands of Myriad. He paused at his desk, changing his laptop's output to the overhead projector. Frank turned to face his students, expressionless to their collective gasp at the graphic imagery on the projector screen. Leaving no room for introductions, Professor Marr dove straight into his lesson.

"Myriad recently abducted and murdered an innocent child. Her name was Fei Tsu. I would like you, as a class, to discuss the following evidence and what it indicates. Now, tell me, what do you see?"

2. [ OOC]: I intend to lecture on the various branches of forensic science and quiz students throughout presentations to keep them involved, one of these branches being finger print ****ysis. After each lecture, I will host an interactive lab to mimic the proceedings of a forensics lab.

[ IC ]: "Someone, provide me with the definition of latent fingerprint examination."
Frank waited expectantly, only to sigh wearily at the lack of response. Really?
"I expected better. Today, I will lecture on the proceedings of latent print ****ysis and how it is relevant to criminal investigations. Following the lecture, we will be examining our own prints."

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:
[ OOC ]: If accepted, I would like to host an organized ride-along and tour of the Karakura Police Department. Such a trip would provide students with hands-on experience and greater insight into the field of forensic science. I would also like to organize a Q&A with KPD staff.

[ IC ]: Frank faltered at the front entry to the Karakura police station, gesturing to the group of students that had signed up for the field trip.
"Don't be afraid to ask questions. This is for your education, so don't take the opportunity for granted."



[ SCENARIO SECTION ]

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?
Frank was perched on a bench in the central courtyard, reading a particularly interesting article on mortuary science, when a squabble no more than ten feet from him had interrupted his precious lunch break. He rose to his feet, grumbling under his breath at such an inconvenience. Though he would have preferred to carry on with his reading, he felt he had an obligation to deescalate the situation before it got out of hand. Frank paced over to the group, placing a firm hand on the shoulder of one of the college jocks.
"Break it up. Surely you have better things to do than bully a child."

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?
Frank had had enough of the incessant questions. He sucked in a deep breath before taking the vacant seat beside the student. Patience, Frank. Patience.
"Alright, here's what we'll do. I would like for you to write down whatever questions you have on the back of this sheet. Once you've completed your work to the best of your ability, I will answer as many questions as your heart desires."
He remained at the desk beside the disruptive student, should they disturb their peers any further.

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class, what would your character do?
Frank brought a hand to his mouth, placing his forefinger and thumb between his lips. He blew hard, whistling loud enough to leave his students' ears ringing. The immediate silence that followed brought him immeasurable satisfaction.
"All of you," Frank first pointed to the unruly group, and then to the door, "Out. If you return with this behavior, I will drop you from my class without refund."

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?
Frank pulled his radio from his belt with a flourish, praying that it would serve enough warning for the two to stop. Upon finding himself unsuccessful, he switched on the radio.
"Kevin, I need you at the volleyball courts immediately. I've got two students at each other's throats," he said with an urgency that was uncharacteristic of his typically detached attitude. Frank then described the appearance of the two students, should they try to flee.

Frank William Marr is a fair-skinned man of slim build, standing at approximately 5'10". He keeps his hair at a medium length, dark brunette curls swept over his forehead in a quiff. His stormy gray gaze darts about nervously, avoiding eye contact at all costs. A light stubble beards his face, accentuating its angularity.

He is a deeply complex man. He often comes across as ill-mannered and awkward because of his difficulty with socialization. Sarcasm is generally his first line of defense in an unwanted interaction. Although he struggles with people, he empathizes deeply with them. His ability to understand the emotional drive behind human behavior makes him a powerful asset in criminal investigation and forensic science.

Despite his cognitive empathy, he can be rather misanthropic and lacking in compassion for others. As an INTJ, Frank relies upon his intuition to decide, preferring to work in solitude and sort things on his own. He believes his raw empathy and intellect to be a curse, disturbed by his ability to relate to the dregs of humanity.

Frank cares deeply for his students. He wishes to see them succeed and is more than happy to make special accommodations for those with learning disabilities and or other barriers that may cause difficulty in the classroom. As a person who has struggled with mental illness for most of his adulthood, he is especially understanding of the impact that poor mental health can have on one's work. Though Frank struggles to establish relationships with his associates, he holds his few friendships dearly. He seeks like-minded individuals that match his wit and are understanding of his introversion.


Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended. Make sure this is over 100 words.

Frank William Marr was born in Yonkers, New York on June 19, 1988 to Agatha and John Marr. His father was a police officer, his mother a seamstress. A timid child with an abundance of imagination, Frank filled his time with graphic novels. His favorite comics spun tales of valiant heroes, solving mysteries and protecting civilians. Frank lived for these stories, as they reminded him of his father.

Frank was a latchkey kid, his parents often away at work to make ends meet. The lack of familial support stunted his social skills immensely. He felt he was an unusual child from an early age because of his inability to relate to his peers. Thus, Frank spent most of his time alone. In high school, Frank honed in on his studies upon deciding that he wanted to pursue law enforcement like his father. He worked tirelessly towards a perfect grade point average, maintaining straight-A’s for the entirety of his high school career. Although he was not bullied in school, Frank's social life was lackluster. He did not mind being a wallflower, so long as he surpassed his peers in their studies.

Frank succeeded, graduating from Yonkers High School at the top of his class and enrolling at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. At John Jay, he met his now-deceased wife, Molly Price. The two earned their Bachelors of Forensic Science and eloped shortly after graduation. Upon earning his degree, Frank applied for a position as a homicide detective for the New York Police Department.

After a few years with the NYPD, Frank reapplied for graduate school at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He enjoyed his work as a detective, but he felt that there was more that he could do with his qualifications. Thus, Frank returned to John Jay College of Criminal Justice’s graduate program in Forensic Science, earning his Master of Science in Forensic Science at 29-years-old. With his graduate degree, Frank applied to the FBI Crime Lab. He made it through the academy and was selected to be a special investigator and eventually an instructor for the academy.

For four years, Frank worked unremittingly for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. After Frank earned his post as an instructor, he and Molly tried for a child. The pregnancy was seemingly healthy, the two ecstatic to welcome a child into their lives. Tragically, Molly and their son passed in childbirth from unforeseen complications. Frank put his nose to the grindstone at the Bureau, desperate to bottle his grief. Still mourning the loss of his wife and child, he allowed his career to consume him. However, the brutality of each case that he took on eventually became more than he could bear. He resigned from his position upon being removed from his last case for mental instability.

Rather than seeking psychiatric help, Frank took a year to travel the world. He visited many countries, the last being Japan. He fell in love with the gorgeous landscape and the culture. Frank realized he could stay in Japan long term with a work visa by continuing his career as an international Forensic Science instructor. He applied for a professor's position at Karakura Community College. Karakura's affordability and high crime rate attracted him, as he could live comfortably and put his skills to use.
