Trivia

What subject are you applying to teach?:

Math, specifically Geometry.

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
I want to use this opportunity to advance my roleplay experience and I think this would do just that. Teaching is also something I've taken interest in outside of roleplay and so I feel as though I would enjoy putting it into my experience on SRP. Also, being someone for other people's characters to look up to is another reason. I feel as though being a teacher will also be beneficial to others not just myself. The role seems very enjoyable and a different experience than being a student and gives me the opportunity to insert myself into better roleplay with more experienced people as well.

Do you understand that you are applying for the teacher role of UT & If your application is accepted, you may have to undergo teacher training?:
Yes, I understand.

What are the teacher class logs and why are they important?:
Teacher class logs help teachers keep track of the classes they've held throughout the month so they are able to keep track if they are meeting the requirement of ten classes.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:
1. No phones. It's a learning environment and distractions should be minimalized.
2. Be respectful towards the teacher as well as classmates.
3. Violence will not be tolerated.
4. Talking over the teacher or refusal to listen to directions will not be tolerated.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I have been in a few families and I have had my fair share of characters of the years I've played SRP. I'm very familiar with detailRP and things of the sort. I'm not very familiar with combatRP though I do know the rules, it's mainly something I try to avoid.

In detail, describe the ranking system of teachers:
- HD
↳ Meaning:
Head of Department
↳ Description: This teacher is the one with the most experience under their belt. They are very well-trained and are the head of the subject. They of course are able to hold their own classes and often do it very well, understanding and executing their job very well.

- QT
↳ Meaning:
Qualified Teacher
↳ Description: Qualified teachers are those who have gone through the training and have a lot more experience under their belt than NQT and UT. Having this rank means you are seen to be able to have a class on your own and do well. These teachers are also seen as more mature and well trained.

- NQT
↳ Meaning:
Newly Qualified Teacher
↳ Description: These teachers have gone through the training and are able to host their own classes, though they aren't QT yet, and are making their way to be there.

- UT
↳ Meaning:
Unqualified Teacher
↳ Description: These are newly hired teachers who have yet to undergo training. They are not allowed to hold classes on your own and are usually observing other classes and/or interacting with other staff members.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

A teacher's job, like in the name, is to teach and help their students succeed to the best of their ability. Their role is to provide an understanding for the students to grasp and help aide them in the right direction. They also serve as role-models and mentors, setting a good example for others to feed off of and learn. Teachers not only teach the given curriculum, they also teach necessary life skills. Teachers in the US make around 37k-77k a year. In game, they make 350k a month if they meet the requirement for hours. They can also make another 50k on top of that for completing five additional classes.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?:
SchoolRP is a school based roleplay and so teachers are really the foundation needed to help create a realistic roleplay. Teachers allow those playing as students to really engage in the school aspect of the roleplay and make the experience more enjoyable. Teachers allow the students to have the option of class during school hours making it more appealing when it's required to be on campus during school. Teachers also help set examples for good roleplay, since they tend to be more experienced. They're able to guide players into the right direction, especially new players who might not exactly know the rules.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
Without teachers simply going to school would be pointless. Having the teachers with things to teach gives the students the opportunity and the drive to learn and really engage in the roleplay.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What are their plan for the future?
Alice Narusaka would stand at 5'5''. She would have an hourglass figure, weighing in around 58kg. She would have mid length blonde hair that would reach an inch or two below her shoulders. Her eyes would be a common shade of blue. She'd have very fair skin and often make herself seem very clean. She would hold her head high and would have a very sophisticated look to her. Her face would often be serious, only showing simple neat smiles as she passed by. Her walk seemed as of someone of wealth and power. Though she may not have had much she acted like she did.
Alice's main goal as a teacher is to have her students succeed. She was very strict when it came to teaching, but only because she believed in her students to do the very best they could. She had a lot of faith in her students to be able to get through her classes. Alice is a rule follower, word for word. She doesn't like loopholes and will often stick to the books, but is open to new ideas. Her way of speech is very meticulous along with everything she does. She is a very well-planned out person, making sure everything is in order and the way it should be. She is often described as very well-mannered. She lives by the phrase, "there is a time and place for everything". She's very good at reading the room and knowing when she should speak or when she should keep quiet.
Alice was one to love the main subjects in school such as math and literature. She loved math because of how there could always be one answer, but loved literature because of, well, the words! She loved all the different words for different things and how some words meant the same thing, but were used in different situations. She loved math because of problem solving. The way it easily taught kids to problem solve or work together as a team to get through a difficult equation. She loved the different methods that could be used and how there were so many options that if one didn't work for someone there was always another route they could take.
Seeing the kids succeed at what she was teaching was a main reason Alice kept up with her job. Having kids of her own, she found joy in watching them learn and grow and go through the hardships that they did. For the future Alice of course strives to better herself and make her way up the ranks. She wants to one day not only help teach students, but new coming teachers what it's like to see the way the ones they teach succeed.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:

I would simply walk up to them and talk to them to see if there was any problem occurring. After speaking with them I would give them a warning and ask them not to speak that way at school again. If they do not listen the first time I would warn them again and give detention after school.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?:
I would attempt to raise my voice a bit louder so they could hear me and ask them to be quiet. If this does not work I would then go to those who were being the most disruptive and warn them to quiet down. If this still doesn't work I would call someone with higher authority to escort them out of my class.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?:
She would keep to herself at first before striking up a conversation with a fellow teacher. Then she would go on to ask them for advice on certain situations that may have occurred that day, if nothing had happened she would simply try to make friends to create a friendlier work atmosphere.

Provide at least 4 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me
The woman would clear her throat before speaking, "Good morning/afternoon class! I hope you're all having a great day so far. If everyone would please take a seat we can get started!"
/me She would walk towards the desk of the student with their hand raised. She'd then look down towards their unfinished work before looking back up at the student to hear their question about the assignment.
/me She would glance around the classroom looking for raised hands, "I'll ask the question one more time in case you didn't quite understand. It's a tricky one so listen carefully!" she then turned around to the big board behind her to write down the question for everyone to see.
/me She'd hold her hands out for the students to play their finished work in, carefully taking the stack and straightening the papers every so often to help keep them together. Once all the papers were collected she'd take them over to her personal desk, setting them on the side to correct later.

Backstory
Alice was born and raised in France. She grew up in a very well off family. Her parents being, a lawyer and a doctor. She was raised to be very well-mannered and respectful. Everything she did had to be perfect and up to her parents standards. Her parents were very strict leaving her with very high standards. Alice was the type who loved school. She loved being involved and loved how school gave her an escape from her parents nagging for her to be perfect. Though her grades were what kept her parents holding on to her doing school. School was easy for Alice, she got good grades and that was that. Alice enjoyed math the most. She loves how there could only be one answer, it made it easy for her. Because of how well she did at math she was often sought out for by fellow students to be a tutor. She’d spend hours upon hours after school and on weekends tutoring other kids. Most of the time she didn’t even get paid, she just enjoyed teaching them. After finishing high school her parents wanted Alice to take on being a doctor or a lawyer or something in the field that would make her wealthy just like them. Alice being, well Alice did not want this. She wanted to continue what she was doing, which was teaching others. So without her parents' knowledge she sought out a degree in education and mathematics. She decided that if she couldn’t fully lie to them so the mathematics was to help soften the blow. Sue loved math so it didn’t really matter anyways. In college she met her now husband. He was an exchange student from South Korea coming over to France. After meeting and around two years of dating Alice became pregnant. During her pregnancy Alice still went through school and everything she could before birth. After giving birth though, she had to take a break from school to help raise her new son. Quickly after giving birth not even a few months later she was pregnant again. Luckily by this time she was able to continue another semester of schooling before she had to take another break to take care of her children once again. After this setback, Alice still made it through school and graduated with a bachelors in Mathematics and Education. Right out of graduation, Alice sought out for a teaching job nearby. After being hired her teaching career took off. Soon after this she got married. She was a Geometry and Trigonometry teacher for thirteen years at a school in France before her eldest son decided to move to Karakura Japan for a better education. She decided to resign from work and look for positions in Karakura close to her son. After not having much luck she got another job in Tokyo. There she taught French while she started learning Japanese. Every night after her work she would take online courses to learn Japanese. Being in the environment where it was the main language helped her pick it up quickly. She would teach her students French while they would help her learn their native language. Soon enough she was fluent. After a while Alice heard of her daughters moving to Karakura as well to be with their brother and this is when she decided to look for another position once again. With more experience under her belt she felt confident in applying for the open math teacher position.
