Cece had Portuguese as her first language, because of her childhood and part of her adolescence in Brazil. She decided to learn French in an attempt to get closer to her father, who was born and raised in France, not present in her life. Together with her sister, both started taking French courses, as well as private teachers. After a while, Cece approached to her family from her father, making it easier for her to become fluent, since her family could help her with vocabulary and pronunciation. Even though she moved to Japan, she continued to take online French lessons and created a routine of long video calls with her French family members, to make sure she didn’t stay behind any change and grammatical rule of the language. Today, she considers French as important as Portuguese, and is fluent in both languages.
