I have quite a lot going on outside of SRP, however, I always make time to log on and roleplay. I often struggle to find good roleplays, which I need to work on. Aside from that I normally log on every other day. I am hoping that applying for EMS will open up more opportunities.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I have been roleplaying for as long as I can remember. Before I started playing SRP, I was often found playing Roblox and roleplaying there. My roleplay skills have evolved since then, as I have had more experience formatting my roleplays. Occasionally, I would watch YouTubers play Minecraft, and roleplay there. Though, a roleplaying genre that I have always been intrigued with is medical roleplay. Medical roleplay is not the only type of roleplay that has intrigued me, since I have done various types of roleplays over the years.
What is your motivation for applying?
Medial roleplay has always been something I have been eager to engage in. After watching many medical shows, or even medical roleplaying outside of SRP, my motivation to connect with medical roleplay has only increased significantly. Being able to interact with the Karakura Hospital workers occasionally is entertaining, but I would love to have a character physically involved with the healthcare system.
Which role are you applying for?
(Doctor or Psychiatrist):
Doctor
What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?
Regarding hospitals, I have a lot of knowledge OOCLY. However, with the Karakura hospital, my knowledge is more vague. Let’s begin with the roles of the hospital,
DOCTOR
The role of being a doctor is the most crucial one at that. Doctors serve and assist patients, as well as diagnose patients based on given elements. Doctors can perform surgeries, or even transplants if needed. Despite going through the same main schooling, there are a lot of other aspects that can come with being a doctor. Some doctors choose to focus on a specialized subject rather than a broad majority, for example, an oncologist.
PSYCHIATRIST
Psychiatrists specialize in the mental health and well-being of others, offering diagnoses and or medication for whatever the outcome is. Psychiatrists can offer further help to those who need it and are mentally ill and need to be watched. They also offer consistent therapy for those who choose that as a recovery option. Like doctors, Psychiatrists do not have to specialize in just one subject.
PARAMEDIC
In real life, paramedics act as the lifeline of the hospital. They assist people in emergencies that need help immediately, as well as transport people to the hospital for further diagnoses. Choosing this side of working at a hospital offers more stress, but in some ways can be rewarding being able to help those in severe need. In Karakura, you can further your career by attempting to become a paramedic.
VETERINARIAN
Veterinarians specialize in helping animals that are in need. Focusing on the help of wildlife, veterinarians tend to animals in need of medical help. With the population of animals in the real world and SRP, veterinarians are crucial for maintaining the health of the species around us. In Karakura, you can also further your career by gaining a certificate to become a veterinarian.
Of course, in any hospital, codes can be needed to maintain order. The codes are;
Code Black: Bomb threat
Code Blue: Heart or respiration stopping, the patient is not breathing.
Code Brown: Severe weather
Code Grey: Combative person (combative or abusive behavior from patients, family members, or staff.)
Code Green: Emergency Activation
Code Orange: Hazardous spill
Code Red: Fire
Code Pink: Infant abduction
Code Silver: Weapon or hostage situation
Code White: Aggressive person, evacuation, or a neonatal emergency
Code Clear: The emergency is over and dealt with
Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to being demoted at any given time if accepted?
Yes, I am aware this is a possibility if I am accepted.
Do you acknowledge that by applying for this role, you agree to be 100% dedicated to the Hospital Staff role?
Yes, and I plan to be dedicated.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
I am aware that if I am online while training is being held, I have to attend or I will be punished.
Do you acknowledge that you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?
Yes, I acknowledge that it should be kept IC.

Backstory (100+ Words)
Miwa Muranaka was born into a life of pure privilege in Kurashiki, Osaka. By the time Miwa could even crawl, her life became full of lavish parties, and her parents practically flaunted their one and only daughter. However, with all of the attention, young Miwa yearned for something more to fill the emptiness she always felt. At the ripe age of five, Miwa watched as the people who had less than her and lacked access to certain aspects of life struggled. The families who could not afford the necessities of life, and the elderly who languished in loneliness and pure neglect. With the constant pushing from her parents, Miwa found herself drawn to the field of medicine.
Being tossed back and forth by her parents only fuelled the knowledge she aspired to obtain. It was a passion that cured the emptiness that swarmed her young soul. Of course, Miwa faced an extreme amount of struggles. The doubt that filled her mind and rested upon her shoulders pushed her down. The amount of nagging from her parents and peers. It took years of continuous concentration to finally break through the biggest thing that was holding her back. The next step in her life was just around the corner. Miwa knew the career she had chosen would not be an easy ride, breaking away from the comfort of her wealthy home and stepping into an unfamiliar city.
Awakening in the city of Karakura, Miwa masked her loneliness by pouring herself into her studies, excelling in her academics. The whispering of others filled her thoughts, the disapproval from those who saw the life she had before was enough. Buried in the scholarships she had rightfully earned, Miwa often wondered if her decision was worth it. Was all of this effort enough? Studying became more than just immersing herself in work, but a journey of self-discovery, whether negative or positive. It was a testament that she would not stray from what she believed.
Today, Miwa nears the end of her medical training. The road ahead is filled with bumps and ridges, and Miwa is aware. Slightly filled with fear, she knows that she will be able to overcome them. However she knows that this occupation is what she was destined to do, the fact she was able to push through the many things that almost stopped her.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical specialty? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen)
“Tell me, why did you decide to become a doctor?”
Miwa had no sob story to go with her motivation for becoming a doctor. Simply put, her parents wanted their daughter to be stellar. They wanted her to be something they could flaunt, and be proud of.
“I strive for a better world, and If I can make an ounce of a difference, then so be it. I wanted to become a doctor for the experience. My brain has so much room for knowledge, I needed to fill it with something beneficial.”
As she glanced at the figure before her, she thought about all of the diplomas that adorned the wall of her dutiful apartment. Those late-night study sessions which seemed to go on for ages, the amount of caffeine she had consumed over those years. Yet, she chugged on through it all, driven by the motivation to impress the two people who counted on her. Something about becoming a doctor was not just a profession to Miwa, it was a calling. It was a thing to give her a purpose.
Occasionally, she felt the weight of responsibility crushing her. Tugging her to the cold face of the earth. But this is what came with such a role in society, for being a doctor is not just a job that demands knowledge and skill, but something much more. The ability to be able to empathize and understand. Throughout the early years of Miwa’s life, those were skills she lacked. Whether it was the constant berating from her parents or the sheer amount of stress the young girl held, she persevered, and somehow, she managed to gain those skills through life experiences.
Delivering difficult news to the faces of the suffering, Miwa learned that the profession she yearned for was going to take her down mentally. Of course, the small moments where Miwa was able to walk with those who recovered brought her joy. The smiles of gratitude, the thanks that slipped past the patient's lips. Amidst the challenges, Miwa always managed to find something to allow her to keep going.
What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?
“Have you had any medical residencies after completing medical school?”
Miwa shook her head shamefully, clicking her tongue.
“I just recently finished medical school, so this would be my first residency here in Karakura.”
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
“Alright, have you had any work experience in the medical position?”
The Japanese woman ran a finger through her sleek black hair.
“My mother used to volunteer at different medical facilities, and I would often tag along depending on the circumstances. She eventually became a nurse, but dropped it due to a certain… circumstance.”
Has your character completed any additional schooling?
“Have you undergone any additional schooling?”
Pausing, Miwa swallowed.
“No, I haven’t. I plan to, if necessary.”
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?
Miwa has a bold appearance for a short woman. Her hair, a sheer black color, is often found tied up in a tight bun. However, she allows the side pieces to fall down her shoulders for that extra ounce of personality. Along with the harsh color of her clothes, the pale tincture of her skin contrasts the deep auburn of her almond-shaped eyes. Beneath her clothes hides tattoos carved into her soft skin, scattered all across her body. The tattoos consist of different designs, as they were all obtained over different periods of her life. Her body is relatively plush in certain areas, due to her short height, though she does not let that stop her from being any less intimidating.
How does your character act on and off duty?
Miwa is constantly in her own solitary orbit on duty. The words she mutters are brief, though, the job always gets done. Miwa yearns to be alone in any situation, as the aura of aloofness practically radiates off her. While other doctors chat, Miwa is seen with her lips pursed in a thin line. Completely silent. Patients often find themselves intimidated by Miwa’s presence, as her interactions are brief and straight to the point as she has no patience for small talk or chatter. Miwa is often seen in the confines of the hospital where people cannot see her.
Off duty, Miwa is still very aloof, despite the fact she is constantly surrounded by people. In the quiet solitude of her home, Miwa daintily sips coffee or tea. Anything she has lying around. Her apartment is her own habitat. She is like an animal in its prime ecosystem.
Of course, she socializes… Occasionally Miwa ventures outside of her house to talk to the few people she knows, or if she is in an especially good mood, she will even go up to people and talk to them face to face. In the quiet moments between dusk and dawn, Miwa either reads or plays entertaining games on her phone. The stillness of her home brings her comfort.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Miwa would not be caught dead at a party. Her definition of relaxation consists of aimlessly sitting at home, swiping from channel to channel on the TV, holding that Red-40 stare. During hospital work, if Miwa is spoken to, she will talk back. And if she needs to, she will tell the other hospital workers information about a necessary patient, or anything that falls under that umbrella. Rightfully so, Miwa adopted a cat to accompany her in the listless aroma of her home. However, the extra cost of food and litter is becoming a pain...
What plans does your character have for the future?
Miwa has plans like no other, spending time as a doctor until she is booted out of the hospital and forced to retire. Joking. Miwa began to find solace in cooking a while back, and she continues to strive for the culinary art. If her parents did not force her to become a doctor, maybe she would be found tossing ingredients in a pan while being filmed for social media. Or, whatever people do. Aside from cooking, Miwa took to her garden which sits nicely outside of her house. The thought of growing ingredients straight from the ground was deemed to be better than buying rather processed food at the store.
How is your character perceived by others? How does it contrast with their perception of themself?
On duty, Miwa is an enigma wrapped in a white lab coat. However, she often says things that can come off as immature, relating more to the younger youth of Karakura rather than the adults that roam. She has been told to lay off the jokes, or even cut people some slack, but Miwa strives to be what people say is "out of the ordinary". Miwa is seen as either listless to those who do not know her personally, or extremely childish to those who know her well. Surprisingly, Miwa does not struggle with issues relating to her personality. If people do not like her, that is on them. Not a care in the world..
