What are your current roles on the server?:
College Bachelors
Bear Whitelist
Bird Whitelist

Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
The main focus of Schoolrp is, as the name suggests, the school life aspect of the server. While there are many other focuses like Crimerp or Townrp, none are as important or popular. As all the players of the server take part in schoolrp, there needs to be staff within the school to help create an atmosphere and guide the students. Out of all the staff, the teachers are some of the most important because a majority of the player base does not have college roles and cannot attend college classes therefore the majority of players would only be able to participate in classes hosted by teachers. They can guide and advise the students who need it and they can teach the people of the server some actual knowledge that might help them in the real world.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Vuk Mitrović
What is your character's nationality?: Bosnian
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Science (Physics)

Describe your character:
Vuk is a 54 year old Bosnian man who is quite well built for his age, he stands at 6'3 and has a weight of roughly 225lbs. He makes no attempt to hide his ageing features as there are some clear wrinkles around his face, less than others his age but they are still present. Another sign of his age is his dark brown hair which, while still thick, has started greying and his once solid and sharp facial structure has started softening over the years. His eyes would be a soft brown colour, slightly lighter than his hair which is a stark contrast to his cold hard gaze forged during his long military career. Something that makes him unique compared to others would be his heavy South-Slavic accent, built up over half a century of living in Yugoslavia then Bosnia

Vuk’s casual clothing would consist of a good quality pair of cargo’s or jeans, a plain short sleeve shirt and in the winter a vintage wool greatcoat over the top. Professionally he would typically replace his cargos with a pair of neat black jeans. As for accessories, on his left wrist he would always be wearing a Zenith 143-6 watch he had received in 1990, it had been well maintained over the years and as a result would be in a good working condition although there are still signs of its age.

As a workaholic, Vuk's plans for the future are to work until he cannot anymore then retire, he has lived a fulfilling life so far having served in the military for many years and having kids. He believes there is not much more he needs to do in his life so he keeps himself occupied with work.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Vuk would have a neutral outlook on students and coworkers alike at first, although he would still respect them. As time goes on his outlook would change depending on each coworker's personality, for example if he clashes personalities with a coworker he would stay neutral and still be respectful towards them, but if he gets along well with a coworker he would treat them in a less neutral way when talking to them. Although he is not one for favouritism, he would treat his students depending on how they interact with the classes or how respectful they are, he is more respectful and understanding to a student who actively participates in classes and is respectful than a student who is rowdy and not respectful.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Vuk's motivation for teaching is mainly just a hobby to him, while there are other motivations, this is by far the strongest. He is a workaholic and needed a new challenge which is why he moved to japan and became a teacher. Another motivation for teaching he has, is that he already has experience in teaching from his military days. After years in the military he was moved to a role teaching engineering to new recruits, during that time he gained a passion for teaching as it made him feel fulfilled knowing that he was passing on his trade to a younger generation.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Vuk would ask the rest of the class if anyone else is struggling, based on that he would give everyone who is fine with the content an assignment to do while he goes back over whatever it is that the student is struggling with. If they are not far enough in to give out an assignment he would just go back over whatever it is that the student is struggling with.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Coming from a military background Vuk would have a strict teaching style, he would use a strike system with elevating consequences for each strike. The first strike would be a verbal warning given to the student, with the second strike he would take the student aside to talk to them privately about their behaviour. With the last strike the student would be removed from class as they have already been warned twice and are clearly not willing to listen.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Finding the density of objects:
Vuk would have his students place a rock or another object in a eureka can (a can with a spout used to measure displacement of water) to see how much water is displaced, which would allow them to find the volume. They can also weigh the object to find its mass, with this they can use the equation density = mass / volume to find out the density of the object.

Aerodynamics simulation:
Vuk can bring up an aerodynamics simulation and have the class pick values to put into the simulation. After a couple simulations they can put the results into a graph.
