Reporter [DENIED]

Describe your activity on the server:

I'd describe myself as very active, most of my freetime being spent on SRP. I am currently unemployed so I will have more freetime as a result of that. When school starts I won't be as active in the mornings but I will be moreso later in the day. Currently, I have never had any roles on SRP beside a college tag, so most of my time is spent playing on that or a grade 12 character of mine. I have 13 weeks of playtime on SchoolRP and a lot of that activity is spent while DetailRPing and gangrping as of recently. I usually log on at around 12 PM EST and log off at around 1 AM EST. A lot of the time I do stay up later than that playing!

What position are you applying for?:

Governer

What is your motivation for applying?:

I've always wanted to join a faction in SRP. I've considered teacher, reporter, even professor - but I've never really set my sights on government, until now. Some of my closest friends are in the government faction or have been in government faction - and they've inspired me to apply and try to do the same! I want to involve myself in the community more, I always have, really - and getting into a faction has been one of my biggest goals ever since I've joined SRP. Seeing other people apply and get into factions and then sharing just how much fun they've been has inspired me so much to apply. The SRP community as a whole is so creative with the way they roleplay - and especially recently, I've been wanting to involve myself more in that roleplay and find more unique ways to channel my creativity. So, Government seems like the perfect way to start and get my feet on the ground in the world of SRP factions.

Another main reason that I'm applying for Government faction is because I want to learn more about factions in general. From the intricate details that are placed within the buildings that the public usually doesn't get to see, to just the roofs of every faction building - I think it's a fun little journey that I want to take.

Alongside that, I want to learn the ins and outs of the faction. I want to understand the systems that allow the faction to run and the server in general - it's so interesting to me and I just want to learn more about everything!

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:

I have a general, however, not perfect, understanding of Karakura's laws and Constitutional rights. I've glanced over the documents a few times though and am willing to learn more. Worldbuilding is very interesting to me so I'm sure it'll be easy to learn about everything!

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:

While in the government faction, I would like to express myself more within SRP. I want to grow my creativity and in turn progress with my detailrp and get better at it. I would also like to grow my reputation in the community and make more connections and friends! I've always wanted to be apart of a faction so, joining would be a goal in of itself. Exploring the intricate parts of the government faction and learning more about the structure of government would be very fun and neat as well!

In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:

[Mayor]

The mayor's job is to manage the city. They plan events and make sure that everything is in peak performance. They manage the cities funding and impact the daily lives of citizens of Karakura. The Mayor also oversees the several businesses that exist among Karakura. They manage funding for things like KPD and city parks. The mayor often presents themselves at important public meetings and announcements.

[Deputy-Mayor]

The deputy mayor is there primarily to assist and aid the Mayor in their tasks. They help with making important decisions about the city and make sure that everything runs smoothly. They do some things that the Mayor may not have time for, and overall act as an aiding party within the government.

[Governer]

A Governer's job is to aid the local citizens in things they need. They provide I.D. cards to anyone who needs them, and run local store inspections to make sure that customers are getting quality ensured products. A Governer's other jobs may include, but are not limited to, officiating weddings, attending trials, and approving adoption papers. Again, a Governer's main job is to provide for the public and make sure their daily lives in Karakura run smoothly.

[Judge]

A judge's main job is to dictate law. They attend trials and decide, based upon evidence and defense given by a lawyer, whether or not a person is guilty or innocent. A Judge may hold some of the same responsibilities that a Governer holds.

[Laywer]

A defender of the people. The lawyer's main job is to serve people and protect them. They inform individuals of their rights and represent them in court. A lawyer is there to be able to take calls from citizens in detainment to protect them from KPD questioning. Lawyers make sure that people have a second chance and proper representation after committing a crime, or the lack thereof.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:

Yes, I acknowledge that I am subject to removal at any given time.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:

Yes.

Full name:

She gave a nod, taking a seat in the chair across the interviewer.

"Oh, my name? Naia M. Karadicus."

Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):

The woman would offer a warm smile to the other, leaning forward on the desk.

"Well, I'm not currently in a relationship, so I would prefer Miss, please."

Karadicus gave another nod, reassuring herself on the matter.

Current age:

A soft hum would bleed through the young woman's lips as she took a moment to speak out,

"I am 29 years of age."

Date of birth:

"August 1st, 1994"

The girl would place her hands onto the table, idly tapping the wood.

Gender:

A quick clear of the throat could be heard as the woman's tapping continued. Her nerves surfacing to the front of her mind as she did the only thing she could think of to calm herself down.

"I identify as female, although - I use She/They pronouns!"

Academic Degree:

Naia allowed her face to light up at this question, obviously proud of her degree -

"I have my masters degree in law!"

Major(s):

Grinned as she spoke, obviously more confident with this subject. She enjoyed it as a passion.

"Law,"

Minor(s):

She would purse her lips on this one. The girl was always a little rough on the edges with political science, it was a hard subject for her.
"Political science."

Work experience:

A moment or two would be taken to think about this, mainly about smaller jobs that she was positioned at in her youth - but she eventually landed on a more prominent one, leaning forward on the desk as she spoke. A giddy smile would be painted to her expression
.

"Well, the most important one I'd say, unless you want to count working at a gas station and fast food place as important work experience... which - I mean to a degree it is, but - I worked at a law firm when I was 22. I was an intern, so nothing big - I mainly helped around the place and did some paperwork when the others couldn't. It was really boring, actually -"

Her previous giddy smile would now erode into a frown, clicking her tongue.

"But hey! It was an important learning experience and - well I made good money.. so. . . But nonetheless-"

A thought popped into her head as she recalled a memory, this one fonder than the last.

"Oh! I also worked at this one preschool place when I was 18.. Well- actually, thinking back on it.. it was more like a daycare - but same difference really - Anyways, we took care of the kids and interacted with the parents some.. sooo, there's that!"

Nationality & born location:

She spoke, her usually gentle British accent coming out thick with the next words.

"I was born in London, so I'm European, by descent!"

Fluent languages (Underline your native):

"I speak Japanese and English."

Criminal record:

The woman's eyes widened, shaking her head dismissively,

"Oh, heavens no, I couldn't do something like that."

What makes you a good candidate for this job?

Took a good moment to think on this question. A moment would pass, and then another - She continued to think.. A deep exhale would be taken as the girl corrected her posture. This was the question, this decided it all,she thought. After such a long time of waiting, building up to this - years of college, years of experience, all building up to this one moment of time. She needed to be concise, yet descriptive. Why her? Why now? Why. When words eventually came from her lips, they would be fluid - the appropriate amount of time being taken to decide upon each and every word and adjective that slipped out of her mouth.

"I'd like to think that this job.. is more than just a job - it's a service. It's an adventure. It's a responsibility, most importantly. To be fit for this job you must be responsible, you must be mature and capable of handling the hardships that will inevitably come to play. And you need one good hand to play this job currently. I'm not perfect, but I understand that. I know my strengths and weaknesses and I know when and when not to use them. I know the appropriate time to speak. I can handle people well, I can provide the services they need without complaints."

Another pause was taken. The girl confident within her words. She had been waiting for this for so long now, and she wasn't about to let it fail because of her nerves that had risen to a climax at this point - Her knee would stop bouncing, her fingers that were once tapping on the wooden table beginning to falter, and eventually fade away, now still. Karadicus continued to speak,

"I understand that the citizens of Karakura have their worries and I will do my best to alleviate them and calm the crowd - I will be a perfect representative of the city. I will strive to be outstanding in every field that I come across within this job."

Another pause, this time longer.

"That is all -"

The girl looked around, before realizing that the interview had come to a close. She would stand and give a smile to the interviewer, dipping into a slight bow before exiting the room, confident.
