Describe your activity on the server:
I’ve been playing SRP for about four years now. Within that time, I’ve dabbled in various roles! I’m relatively active on the server and try to log on almost every day. I do have a few OOC commitments, so my time on the server is usually around 7 PM-2 AM EST. On my days off, my activity can range from 4-10 hours. My days off aren’t the same weekly, so my activity depends on what my schedule looks like!

TEAMS
I’ve been playing SRP for quite some time, so I’ve had the chance to dabble in various sports teams. I’ve been on HS cheer three times, College female basketball, College female football, and College female volleyball!

ART / TAILORING
Around 2022-2023, I began making art commissions in Euphoria. Working as an artist was fun! I enjoyed drawing everyone’s OCs. Eventually, I stopped taking art commissions and focused on skins since it was a bit more efficient than drawing.

OTHER
I also had a Lawyer named Hye-Jin Endo. Being a Lawyer was especially fun since she was quite a stubborn woman. She never lost any cases! I really enjoyed the faction when I was a part of it, everyone was very kind and welcoming, and I wish to hopefully experience it again, this time around with more time to devote!

I also suppose I run a family! The Wongs.
They’re a wacky family.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:
Governor.

What is your motivation for applying?:
Having previous experience with the town faction, I’ve come to miss it. I recall it being really entertaining whenever we’d have trials or when my character would be heckled by students coming in for IDs. Though as much as I enjoyed being a lawyer, I want to experience a different part of the faction. Governor. I think it’d be interesting to navigate how such an authoritative title would affect my character, her family, and even her sense of self. I'd also love to become more involved with planning community events within the faction. At the moment I believe there are a lot of opportunities for the faction to have more server-wide influence. Particularly icly, I feel as though the government is a ghost of what it used to be and lacks prominence. My hope is to create roleplay where the government feels like a true force to be led by, or against.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yes, I do, and I will constantly review them to make sure I don’t make any mistakes.

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
I don’t have any specific goals in mind, I just want to roleplay more with different people! As much as I love JockRP, I’d like to experience something different by engaging with everyone in the town faction and with the citizens of Karakura as a governor. Beyond roleplay, as I said before, I have a few different ideas on how to engage the government and civilians a bit more!

In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Mayor
Deputy-Mayor
Governors
Judge
Lawyer
The mayor serves as the main Representative of Karakura. They oversee the other roles within the faction, EMS, and KPD. They are the most powerful in Karakura, as their word is finalSecond in command to the Mayor, they share if not all, then most of the same responsibilities as the Mayor.Governors officiate marriages, adoption, conduct shop inspections and also oversee any verified businesses. They are in charge of the welfare of Karakura’s population.
Judges issue rulings, warrants and restraining orders. They are in charge of the verdict and any penalties following the sentence.
Lawyers serve as legal advisors to clients, often defend them in court, and assist with drafting legal documents such as restraining orders and wills. They can also hand out IDs like many of the other roles.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yes.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
Yes.

IN CHARACTER SECTION

Full name:
The symphony of weathered wood served as a herald of what was to come:
An equally antiquated woman.
One whose countenance was born from marble, quarried from the depths of despair, and carved into a statue worthy of nobility.
Born anew, a tale of resilience:

"Wong, Yuè-Liang. It is my pleasure.”

The matriarch reclines into a picturesque bow. It's as if every vertebra in her spine were held by a corresponding string, puppeteered by an imaginary marionette that kept her posture. For practiced grace could never yield to time.

Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
Her bones evoke the sound of crushed foliage with each subtle movement, creaking eerily as she drifts into her seat.
“Doctor Wong will suffice.”

Current age:
Her pruny fingers writhed around the raven skull perched atop her cane. Wong's brow quirked at such a brash question; this lady never quite enjoyed revealing her age.
“. . .I am sixty-four.”

Date of birth:
She wore her age with pride. Wrinkles kissed the corners of her eyes, telling tales of joy, while a harsh ridge also dug between her brows. Equally telling of the plight she’s endured.
“I was born June 20th, 1960.”
Goodness, how the years have soared like a kite.

Academic Background:
The madame heaves a hefty folder onto the desk, a THUD echoing as it falls. Dust and debris soar into the air from the sheer force exerted by its crash-landing, sending this granny into a mild fit of sneezing!
Fear not, no germs are shared. She opts to sneeze into her handkerchief rather than assaulting the air.

There were hundreds of papers pertaining to her education and work experience. Perhaps this was where her age showed; it was all antiquated and written by hand! Files sprawled all over the place, transforming way may've been a meager coffee-table into what looked like what could've been a detective's investigation.

Juris Doctor
Law

Major(s)
Political Science
Thanatology

Minor(s)
Botany
Philosophy

Work experience:
Funeral Director | Wong Zhi Die
1983 - Present

“I inherited my great-grandfather’s business long ago. Now my kin manage the facilities. While I still have obligations to the store, it is rare that I must intervene. It seems the children have gotten their act together.”

Judicial intern | Various firms
Around four years of total intern experience, on and off throughout summers.

“I recall scheduling all my classes late in the evening so I could attend my internships mid-day. . .It was quite the battle. Whether to sleep or study? It was always the latter.”
Perhaps her grandchildren should take note. . .

Judicial clerk | King & Wood Mallesons
Around 2 years.

Judge | State Judicial System
30 years.

Nationality & Born location:
Fond memories of steep meadows and rapid waters creased her eyes into crescent moons. It was the type of grin that left only lilted your eyes.
“I’m ethnically Chinese, born in Fujian, China. Though I emigrated from China to pursue my education in Malaysia. Now? It seems my kin have buried their roots in Japan and thus, here I am.”

Criminal record:
With a mere flick of a wrist, a hand fan came to life, scarlet-embroidered pleats veiling the discontent that spread over her face. “No record.” She hastily fanned herself. The sheer audacity to even ask!

What makes you a good candidate for this job?
Her lips prune into a taut line, not with contempt - but contemplation.

“Tie a knot a hundred times, and you may tie it blind. After being in the judicial scene for countless years, I’ve grown an affinity for it. Whilst I admire the values of the youth, just as many argue - Diversity is integral to justice. If willing, they may learn a thing or two from their elders. This town may very well be untroubled. . .But do not let yourself be fooled by placidity, for calamity runs amok like ivy on a trail, and only those who possess a keen eye will spot it."
