Describe your activity on the server: Activity on the server, usually I’m extremely active on the server, always walking around or searching for something to do. I was just in the teacher faction recently, so I was participating in quite a bit of events and overall activities such as classes, detentions etc. In terms of timing for activity I am mainly active around evenings and nights, sometimes mid day depending on the timing. Usually this can span from 4 hours to even 6 if the weekend is present. As for more in terms of activity I am always looking for something to do and am always running around, very rarely if ever afking unless something is needed Irl. I enjoy being able to rp with people and will participate in events even if they aren't in a faction. I’ve been around for three years now on srp, and will continue playing. I don't particularly gangrp or anything in that regard, usually always keeping the ic record clean along with keeping the ooc record clean too. Timing in general for the hours that I’m on will usually be 6 pm until 11 pm on most days, sometimes longer if I am not working or have nothing going on. Throughout the week I am usually online every day of the week unless if I have something going on, but typically its always the same time. If I am absolutely needed for an event or some kind of meeting ingame, I will try my best to attend. I also can sometimes play earlier in the day depending on my schedule and what's going on, but typically I always play around these times down below.

Monday: 6-11 pm. Tuesday: 6-11 pm. Wednesday: 6-11 pm. Thursday: 6-11 pm. Friday: 6-11 pm. Saturday: 6 pm to 12 am. Sunday: 6-11 pm.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?: Governor.

What is your motivation for applying?:
Motivation for applying is pretty simple, I enjoy roleplaying here and overall want to explore more of the factions. Governor fell into my line of sight mainly because Irl I am watching more law and order shows, along with overall seeing more of the court in general. I enjoy how the system works, and it piqued my interest to see that Karakura doesn't seem to be so different in terms of law and order. This position would also enable me to see and experience more roleplay, overall meet new people and learn more about how the Karakuran government works along with how the faction works. To sum everything up, I am more than willing to learn as this faction is completely new to me and I want to experience more. In terms of application for roleplay in general, this would help me essentially gain more experience in roleplay aswell. The teacher faction was quite enjoyable, I figure this one may be enjoyable too. I’m also wanting to expand my friend group here on srp too! Having friends is always fun, and everyone in the factions have been pretty nice so far. This position also is better for my timing irl due to being able to work the second I hop online, my schedule sometimes can be a bit iffy, and from what I’ve read this would work out alot better in my favor. Plus I am actively a very good roleplayer with quite a bit of experience under my belt, and this would help me even further with that experience. In general it's also just a new experience I want to try.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?: Yes, they work like the law systems and Constitutional rights of irl in terms of how they are to be followed, just different in terms of the content of the Constitutional rights itself. I am willing to learn more about it if somehow I forget or need to read more.

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?: Mainly just wanting to learn more about the faction and the laws of Karakura as I’ve stated before, plus seeing behind the scenes is pretty cool. Eventually I want to reach a higher point in the faction through promotions and work. Mainly I want to be more exposed to roleplay scenarios involving law and overall the system itself. I liked reading about the history of Karakura as a whole since it’s honestly a pretty complex server with a rich backstory and history I’ve never seen before. The government plays a pretty heavy role in the backstory of Karakura aswell, and I would love to add to that. As for Ic reasoning as to why I would want to join, simply to experience more work, factions, and to help Karakura as a whole. I also want to become further knowledgeable with the people who run the government faction, and overall how it works.

In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction: Governor: This part of the faction are the ones who make laws, and overall are some of the runners of the city underneath the mayor and deputy mayor. They walk around, survey the public and overall listen to opinions and speech of the people. Taking a little step further with the part of surveying the public, Governors also perform inspections for shops. Inspections include the safety of the customers, the employees, and the condition of the shop itself along with what they sell. This includes ensuring the shops follow the law, and do not break any. Similarly to a judge, Governors have the ability to approve of adoption papers. At some point in time, an adult wants to adopt a child, and turning to a Governor to have that approved is something that can be done. They’re one of the ones who officially say the adult has adopted the kid. Apart being a Governor can also be attending trials and listening to what goes on. What can happen is if a trial is unfair or even a law seems to be unfair, a Governor can hear this in court should it somehow happen. Handing out ID’s is another common practice of Governors, as an ID is an important part of living in Karakura. Continuing on the subject of surveying the public, Governors will also sometimes attend events and listen to if there is a riot, or any kind public event that has an argument against the government. Governors can also officiate a marriage! Want to get married and have it officially recognized in court? Governors can help with that. Governors stay more to the back, not really spending much time at all at the front desk though they are well knowledgeable about the community of Karakura, as they listen to what's being said and what problems there are. Governors are also known sort of as the council in a way, as they come together to discuss recent activities of the city with not only one another, but also the Mayor and Deputy-Mayor.

Lawyer: Lawyers are one of the major pieces of the puzzle for the Government faction, as they are the ones people turn to when they experience a crime, and need a restraining order, or overall need someone to speak for them in court. As in basic protocol, Lawyers will attend the trial that involves their client they’ve agreed to help. This involves gathering information about the case, and attempting to convince the judge that their client is innocent and deserves the case in their favor. Lawyers will also ask for witnesses of an event, and gain as much knowledge as they can about the case. They give legal advice for those who ask for it, and as most of the government faction do, they hand out ID’s. Lawyer’s make attorney calls, and essentially establish a client list. These lists contain people who have asked them for help in the law for restraining orders or just for a case in general. As Lawyers can fight on both sides, for a criminal or even someone innocent, they are required to be neutral in law. These people are able to contact their lawyer at any given time. Adding on to the bit of clients able to contact their lawyers at any given time, Lawyers can hold a client meeting, where they discuss the situation with their client before any sort of trial may occur. Restraining orders are a very common scenario in Karakura as crime happens so often it usually ends in violence. A restraining order usually happens when someone is heavily harassed or has been repeatedly attacked by an individual, and a Lawyer can establish a client meeting in order to figure out an RO for the case. Lawyers are some of the first faces you may see when you enter the town hall, as they frequently perform front desk work and help with whatever you need in Town hall. This all includes building a client list, and discussing laws.

Judge: Judges are essentially one of the hearts of Government, as they know all the laws and are the final decision for if a person goes to jail or not for their crimes. They frequently are in court, witnessing a case and determining the severity of the outcome. They listen to both lawyers on opposing sides, along with the claims made from the suspects or defendants themselves. Judges have the ability to issue a warrant, should a person be too violent for the public or the Judge determines they need to be detained or arrested, they can send out a warrant for that person. Judges review cases that are sent their way when one arises, and can decide on the severity of it if they even wish to have it dealt with in court, as some cases may not even be in high enough of a severity for an entire court case. Judges are in law, very neutral and will listen to both sides of the case, even if one side is clearly worse than the other, they make decisions fairly and lawfully. Similar to lawyers, Judges will also perform front desk work and will communicate to those who enter the Town hall. Some people don't have any knowledge of the town hall, making the Judge a friendly face they can talk to about it. Judges can also officiate a marriage like a Governor can, and make it official in law and court. Like how Governors can, they can approve of adoption papers. Judges do more front desk work than Governors and overall are around Lawyers a bit more frequently. They also interpret laws and decide if it meets constitutional rights, and make decisions from there on the case if they wish to apply them. Along the lines of law the Judge also determines what can or cannot be used as evidence in court against an individual or even for one. Judges are also apart of the judicial branch in law.

Deputy-Mayor: Deputy-mayor is almost exactly as it sounds, pretty much a sort of Mayor representative for when the Mayor herself or himself isn't there. They also perform tasks and duties based on what the Mayor asks of them. They oversee the city beside the Mayor, typically performing the same tasks as the mayor when he or she isn't there. Deputy mayors also will assist in signings on behalf of the council if the mayor is not there. They can arrange meetings with elected facilities within the government to mediate disputes, they can communicate with other elected people in the faction, provide answers from the inquires of the public when the mayor isn't there, pretty much just answering questions for the media and reporters.

Mayor: This is the highest lead in the government as they oversee the city itself, and decide if a law will be established or not. They typically are involved in every meeting with the rest of the government along with having the ability to speak during a proceeding of a board. Mayors also provide a sort of public face for civil processes and ceremonial purposes. Mayors will also recommend polices and laws to the government council, along with breaking tie votes and have an overall say in vetoing specific legislations. Mayors also oversee the city’s laws are enforced by the city employees. The government council in effect are the Governors as stated above, and the Mayor will meet with them to discuss topics of the city and laws, holding meetings with them and deciding on what laws or policies along with Constitutional rights would be best. They also approve of the opening or establishment of a business within the city, such as restaurants, markets, clothing stores and even a mass church.

To sum all of that up, Governors discuss laws, perform checks of the public, and inspect shops. Lawyers aid in law for clients who face jail time or need to make ROs. Judges will be the viewers of court cases, can call out a warrant and overall deem whether if someone is innocent or guilty. Deputy-Mayor acts like the Mayor when they are not present, and Mayor of course is the head of the city.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?: Yes, I am aware.

What makes you a good candidate for this job?: “I’m a pretty calm man, I don’t usually get into any kinda trouble nor do I spend time in trouble. Anyway, I’m a good candidate for the reasoning of being different than most, I’m not gonna waste time on anything. I’ve studied for a good bit overall with law, got a Doctoral degree in Ph.D., Doctor of Philosophy in law, and prefer researching the laws over trying to study for any sort of teaching job or scholar. I’m smart as a whip, can follow instructions and have a pretty good understanding of Karakura laws itself, pretty similar in general to alot of laws. Fully aware of the consequences of if I fail to follow law and overall be good. But moving on to a bit more about me, I was working in the teacher faction for a good bit and have proven myself to be really neutral, I don't choose sides or formulate any sort of speculations as to why someone might be wrong, I always kinda sit in the middle for arguments or issues till I know both sides, but then I follow what is correct in the end. As a teacher I demonstrated patience and kindness, something that will follow when I work as a Governor too, knowing how well ya gotta be patient here in Karakura with its citizens. I’m pretty approachable and can do my duties as a Governor to a T, along with listening to people's problems and determining what the outcome might be. In general to sum all this up, I’m really knowledgeable, I can pick up on things quickly, won’t waste time, and am willing to work hard to get a higher position. Plus I’m pretty easy going, won’t start drama. The government’s also real interesting to me, so I like to study about it and overall that makes me pretty knowledgeable about Karakura itself, along with its laws. Anyway, what I can bring is something new to the government as I'm a new person, plus I can handle whatever is thrown at me. It's a whole new experience that I've never had before, wanting to try it."
