Describe your activity on the server:I’m quite active on the server, logging on at least once a day and spending probably around 3-4 hours at least on the server during the weekdays after school and probably somewhere around 5-6 hours on weekends.

What position are you applying for?: Governor

What is your motivation for applying?: At the moment I only have highschool characters and I’ve been thinking about getting an adult character for a long time, and as my interest in factions has increased over that past few months, I’ve felt that between wanting an adult character and hoping to join a faction, this would be the perfect time to apply! As well as this, I want to join the Lenue family, a family that I and my characters have had experiences with for months, and have had interest in joining. This would not only give me a slot into the government faction, but also give me a spot in the Lenue family as Osvald Lenue. I also feel that it would help me learn more about governments and how they’re run, as I think that joining a faction in which I am being forced to learn about the government, a topic I’m working on learning more about especially as I plan on taking government classes next year, would help me a lot more than just in game, but in my ooc life as well.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?: I have a somewhat basic understanding of Karakura’s laws and the constitution, as I’ve only read over both of them a few times, however I’ve started to understand it more and more over time as I’ve gone to a few of my friends who’ve got a firm understanding of Karakura’s laws, constitution, and honestly anything related to SRP. These people’ve helped me to further increase my knowledge of the government in general, but especially about Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights.

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?: When it comes to my goals regarding the Government faction, I have multiple reasons I want to join. One of my major goals is to push myself and make a bigger name for myself within the SRP community beyond just being a silly roleplayer. I want to start pushing myself to strive for more serious roleplays by pushing myself to help with work in the government faction, helping the community by doing things such as giving out IDs, and hopefully one day to push myself enough and become well known enough I could possibly help with events such as trials or other planned events. As aforementioned I’d also like to learn more about the government, which is another one of my big goals in joining the government faction, especially the governor role. Going along with the ‘helping the community’ part of my goals, I’d like to help people through their roleplays with the governor role, doing things listed in the application information such as officiate marriages, do shop inspections, approve adoptions, and do things that were also mentioned before such as hand out IDs and attend trials.

In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:

Judge: If lawyers are the predecessor to most important from the deputy-mayor and mayor, then the judge is a close runner-up. Judges are probably the most important people during trials and hearings in Karakura, being the final voice and overall voice of reason to the entire courtroom. The judge, well, judges whether the defendant is guilty or innocent–again, being the final judge. But the judge’s duty doesn’t just end after the courtroom is left. Judges also bear the burden of officiating marriages, filing restraining orders, doing front-desk work, approving adoption paperwork, and handling cases, warrants, and trial

Governor: In my eyes, the Governors are the connection between the people of Karakura and the government itself. These people are the closest to the people in Karakura, often found doing activities such as handing out IDs, officiating marriages, helping adoptions become official, doing shop inspections, and surveying the public. The governors are the people who the citizens of Karakura will most likely see on a day-to-day basis, helping with the simple things in town and keeping the flow of everything going. Not only do governors help with the people, but they can also attend trials. In trials, governors essentially act as the ‘announcer’ to the trial, letting the people of the courtroom know who is defending, who is the prosecutor, etc. The way in which governors work is essential for the government to continue to run, being one of the many cogs within the system to keep it running smoothly–especially with the community and the people of Karakura.

Lawyer: Lawyers are quite possibly, in my opinion, one of the most important roles in the government faction aside from the mayor and deputy-mayor. Lawyers are the people who help defend their clients in a court of law–the people who represent the defendants during court cases. Lawyers act as the voice of the people who can’t properly speak for themselves and defend themselves in a court of law. Not only are they the voice of the defendants, but the prosecutors, too. The lawyer’s job in that situation is to gather evidence, piling it all together to make sense, and make proper claims that go against the defendant to try and help their client’s point be proven–that the defendant is guilty. Lawyers are also responsible for other tasks such as filing restraining orders, working the front desk, doing work with their clients such as meetings, building client lists, and attorney calls. All of these things make for a hefty work load for the lawyer, which I believe reinforces my idea that the lawyer is one of the most important roles in the government faction!

Mayor: The mayor is, in my opinion, the most important rule in the entire government faction. The mayor’s job is to essentially make sure that the entire town of Karakura continues to run smoothly. The mayor makes executive decisions through Karakura, like passing laws and controlling what to do in hefty situations–an example of that being the recent cave collapse in which the government decided to call in people from the mainland to help excavate the trapped people. The mayor has the most power out of all of the roles in the government faction, and possibly the most power in Karakura.

Deputy-mayor: And finally, the deputy-mayor. Not quite the top of the scale, but more powerful than everyone else below, the deputy certainly makes a name for themselves within the government. As the second-in-command of the mayor, the deputy-mayor’s responsibilities are a wide range of commitment which no regular person would be fit to handle. Watching over and being responsible for their colleagues such as the judges, governors, and lawyers, the deputy-mayor acts as essentially a stand-in for the mayor whilst they are gone. The deputy-mayor is almost equally as important as the mayor, acting as the line between the higher ups and the other people. The deputy-mayor has a relationship similar to that of the President and Vice-President, working together to ensure that the community is running smoothly as well as helping to keep the government all on one page and understanding everything going on.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?: Yes.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?: Yes!

Full name: Osvald let a gentle smile break across his face, his lips tilting upwards slightly as he repositioned himself to sit upright. Osvald kept his eyes set on the interviewer as he answered, his voice resonating with a sense of confidence and pride as he announced his name. “My name is Osvald Lenue! It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He finished by offering a handshake to the other person, then adjusting his tie afterward.

Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.): Kept the smile he’d had before on his face, his head tilting to the side at the question. “Ah, a preferred title!” He kept his energy warm and his tone as friendly as possible. “Mr. Lenue works just fine.” He said, tilting his head down slightly as his hands began to nervously fidget with the arms on his chair.

Current age: Again, with confidence, Osvald’s voice filled the room up. “I am 27 years old!” He nodded along with his words, as if agreeing with himself. Osvald leaned back, his eyes still remaining on the interviewer but clearly trying to detach from them to the room around him. Osvald refused to let his smile fade.

Date of birth: Slowly beginning to adapt to the environment, Osvald scooting further into the seat. “I was born on January 8th, 1999.” His lips pressed together as he finished the sentence, his hands continuing to nervously fidget with the chair’s arms. His nervousness had started to show as his confident voice slowly started to diminish the further the interview went on.

Academic Background: The male rose a brow curiously, his voice switching from confident to an interesting sense of ****iness. A smug smirk grew on his voice as he began speaking. “Well,” He started, pushing himself upright in his seat as he leaned toward the interviewer slightly. “I was raised in Finland, yeah?” He nodded, again seemingly agreeing with himself. “I went to the University of Helsinki–studied law for about four years and majored in it. Spent two years minoring in philosophy, as well.” Osvald’s voice again shifted back to the confidence he’d had beforehand. “I finished with top marks in all of my classes,” He said, the same smug grin still remaining on his face as he let out a slight chuckle. “I’m quite proud of it.”

Work experience:
Osvald’s unrelenting confidence stayed as his smug grin intensified. “Work experience?” Osvald echoed back. “Well, during law school I spent my time working with a family owned business in Helsinki–a car business. I wasn’t the one working on cars, of course.” Osvald huffed lightly at his own joke. “No, I was in the back working as the finance manager. I’m not a very handsy guy. I’ve got a lot more skill when it comes to money. I’m quite good with money.” Osvald’s eyes started to avert from the interviewer; nervous. “Before that, in high school, I also had a job. 16–worked at a fast food place. Just a simple cashier.” He muttered, almost ashamed.

Nationality & born location: Osvald let out a small hum at the question. “My nationality? Well, I’m originally from Finland–born in Särkijärvi, where my family settled down. My mother was the Finnish one–my father, however, is a different story. He’s Danish. So I’m half-Finnish, half-Danish.” He nodded, agreeing with himself once again.

Criminal record: The male’s eyes widened slightly at the question. “Ah.. My criminal record.” Osvald’s voice seemed to quiet down a bit, his confidence fading as the smug grin he’d kept before slowly dropped down to a deadpan expression. Osvald’s voice began to shake slightly. “I’m not a felon–however I’ve been detained once. I was caught trespassing on private property. .” Osvald’s lips turned into a small crescent pointing down. “I wasn’t arrested, and I only had to pay a fine. Other than that, my record is clean.”

What makes you a good candidate for this job?: A stark contrast from the previous question, Osvald perked up once again with a newfound sense of excitement in his voice. “What makes me a good candidate?” He smirked. “Well, I’d like to say I’m quite hardworking and I get along with people quite well. I believe I’d bring brilliant ideas to the table, as well as a great sense of morals to accompany them.” Osvald’s hands gripped on the chair’s arms again, picking at them anxiously. “My goals are set and I’m extremely persistent. I will always get the job done, no matter what.” Osvald let his voice lower slightly, relaxing in his seat. “On top of that, I believe I’d be great toward the people of Karakura and that I could bring a sense of connection between the government and the people–a sense of understanding, almost. I heard about the recent riot–the one about the cave collapse. I believe if I was in a position like that one, I would’ve been able to communicate with the people of Karakura much better and get the community a sense of understanding.”
