APPEARANCE
Their dyed, midnight blue hair curls slightly near the ends, cut in short layers that end just below their shoulders. Their features are androgynous, making you double take as you scrutinize whether or not they were male or female biologically. Usually sporting a loose cardigan and baggy pants or a flowy maxi skirt. Adorned with light silver jewelry studded into their ears, looping around their fingers and wrists in the form of hoops, rings and bracelets. Amongst the array of silver jewelry are two small, golden rings looped into a thin, golden chain.
Black headphones decorated with stickers is a staple, either pressed over their ears or resting around their neck. Their eyes dart to your direction, widening the slightest bit in brief surprise. One eye doesn’t seem to focus, just slightly off kilter– looking closer, there’s a lack of shine in it that usually reflects off, ultimately proving it to be a prosthetic.
There’s a moment of awkward staring before they offer you a small smile, eyes crinkling with uncertainty as they raise a hand to half wave in your direction. Their expression softens as you wave back, the smile turning a tinge more genuine as they give you a nod of acknowledgment. They hesitate, staying rooted in their spot– you decide to make the first move and sidle up to them, introducing yourself!

PERSONALITY
Outwardly, they appear to be a very gentle, friendly soul, polite and mannered. Their words are mellow, pleasant, if not awkward at times. The type of person who listens and easily sympathizes, yet considers both perspectives of every situation and gives very forward advice– still maintains consideration for the other people’s emotions and words it into something that they both want and need to hear without making it come off judgemental. Kind hearted and accommodating, knowing when to mind their own business and when it was in everyone’s best interest to step in.
Yet upon closer examination, there’s a calculating glint in their one real eye that glimmers through. Observing with a collected expression, a thousand thoughts running through their head as they consider every possibility for any situation. An internal battle of conflicting reason with feeling– the weight of the truth unbalancing against the weight of humanity within.
One person might describe it as smarts; knowing how to survey in the fading background, come to the solution all by themselves– another might call it insanity, as simple as that.
Because really–
with someone so critical of everyone and everything else,
is there enough time for them to do it with themselves?
