Denied https://schoolrp.net/threads/governor-application-_koly.77306/ Describe your activity on the server: I tend to say i am pretty active, i can be around 3-4 hours active per weekdays and more active on weekends, around 5-6 hours. I have almost four weeks of playtime in SRP, and I really enjoy it. Since I only play one character, I would put all my time into the councillor role if I get it. It would help me support the community and make the experience more enjoyable. TRIVIA QUESTIONS What is the student council and what do they do?: The student council is a selected group of students that helps take care of the school grounds. They plan events, hand out detention slips to misbehaving students, and answer their questions, working to maintain peace and order in the school of Karakura. They collaborate with faculty members, allowing them to focus less on what is happening on the school grounds, and assist with simple tasks such as delivering detention books to the detention room or just bring them papers that they need to sign. However, the council members still need to attend classes and behave to ensure they do not abuse their power. They also play an important role in helping their classmates by sharing useful advice on different problems, like schoolwork, friendships, or personal issues. Their willingness to help makes our school a friendlier and more supportive place. What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.): My main reason for applying for the student council is that one of my friends was a councillor, and I really admired their work. Even though it mostly involves patrolling the school grounds and checking for misbehaving students, they can also help plan future events. I love how friendly the councillors are and how willing they are to help anyone who asks. What I like most about the council members is that they are fair. They do not get bribed; they treat every student the same. There is no favoritism. They do not let anyone skip punishment and give the same punishments to every misbehaving student, or even their own friends. That is what I love most about councillors and what I wish to be in SRP. Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events): Yes, I understand that being part of the student council means I’ll need to use my creativity and work well with others. I look forward to coming up with fun ideas for events and helping make them happen. Teamwork is important, and I’m excited to contribute and help my fellow councillors with whatever they need. Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?: Sure! Here are the other roles in the council that are important to the them. -THE PRESIDENT The president is the leader of the student council, coordinating members and ensuring everything runs smoothly. They hold a higher role in the school hierarchy, just below the faculty. They organize meetings in the council room with other members to discuss the future of the school. They usually assist faculty members with their superior tasks, building a friendly bond between the faculty and the council students. -THE VICE-PRESIDENT The vice-president is the right hand of the president, helping to carry out their plans. They listen to what the president needs and take on tasks that the president gives them. If the president is busy or unavailable, the vice-president steps in to lead meetings and make important decisions. -THE COUNCIL MEMBERS The council members are the first line of support in the school, helping to keep everything in order. They walk around the school, making sure that students are following the rules and behaving well. When the faculty is busy with other tasks, the council members step in to help out, disciplining the delinquents and/or the misbehaving students. -THE FACULTY The faculty are the adults who work at the school. When the councillors have problems with other students, the faculty come in to settle the arguments and ensure that both parties are treated fairly. Of course, they can’t be bothered every second of the day. Each faculty member has a specific job that needs to be taken care of first. A good example would be a chef; they can’t be occupied with issuing detention notes for students. They need to prepare breakfast and lunch for the hungry students. IC SECTION SCENARIOS While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly? "Well, this seems like a simple but tricky question. I would go to the student and ask the individual who is behaving disruptively to calm down before allowing them to explain their problems. I would try to help them as much as I can by giving them advice. If they are still acting disruptively, then I would have to issue them a detention slip for misbehavior. If the situation became even more tense, I would tell the student that if they don't stop, I would contact SLT and get them involved. However, this is only in extreme situations, and I don't want to get SLT involved in everything. I will try my best to understand the student and ensure they feel heard." "I don't believe that just giving them a detention slip at the start would solve this situation. I will try to listen to that individual, make sure their voice is heard, and give them whatever advice I can." A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do? "Interesting scenario I might add. After I see the individual running off with their mask on, I would sprint as fast as I could to catch him, yelling to any councillors or faculty nearby to help catch the individual. I would tell any caretakers who are on their post to keep a close eye on the cameras to ensure they don't get away. After we catch the person, I will inform the nearest SLT member about the incident so they can decide what to do about the masked individual." A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns? "Ohh, I have a good idea in mind for this scenario. I would probably play 'good cop / bad cop.' I would let the teacher talk to the student for a couple of minutes before approaching them. I would start slowly, asking about the source of the problem and trying to build a bond with the individual." He tilted his head, thinking for a second before continuing. "After I calm them down, I would ask them to apologize to the teacher and to the students affected by the verbal threats. I do not want to put the teacher in an uncomfortable position, but I believe this tactic would work and help the student realize his mistake and become a better person overall." He would sigh. . these questions are very stressful for him. A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression? "Ohh. . this is not for me. ." He would take a moment to think, trying to imagine this scenario in his head. "Well, I would, uhm... contact my higher-ups, letting them know about this situation. In the meantime, I would guide the group of students to the, uhm... basketball courts. If they are starting to protest. . I would. . uh. . try to calm them down until my higher-ups can attend to this matter. If no one above my rank is on duty, I would contact the nearest faculty member to settle this." He would eye the person interrogating him. "Those kinds of situations surpass my level of power. I would just try to reason with them until someone more experienced than me can come." A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this? "Hmm... well, I would immediately bow to the faculty member to apologize before asking what I did wrong that upset them. I would not act stubborn or think I know everything, because everybody makes mistakes. After the faculty member tells me what I did wrong, I would ask how I can fix my mistake and if I can ask any questions I might have. I would also ask what I could have changed in that specific situation and what I should do in the future to prevent this mistake." He would give the person in front of him a small smile, making them understand that I will not be a pain if he becomes a councillor. Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event): MOVIE NIGHT UNDER THE STARS "This is a really simple but entertaining idea. We would set up a cinema on the baseball grounds because they have a large area. We would place blankets and mats on the ground so students can gather and watch the movie together. We would invite students at around 9 PM on a Saturday or Sunday, asking them what kind of movie they want. It can be a romance, horror, comedy, animated, any kind of movie that students wish to see. Before the event begins, we would go to every student and ask them what type of movie they prefer. We would create a poll at the end, letting them decide the movie for the night. Before the film starts, we would set up a snack bar with popcorn and candy. We could also provide healthy snacks, like fruit. If we have a specific movie, we would need to get appropriate snacks for that film. For example, if it's a horror movie, we could have jelly eyeballs, if it's a romance movie, we could have heart-shaped chocolates, and so on. Another interesting idea is to let students dress up as their favorite movie characters. We could even give a small prize for the best costume to make it more fun. Another idea I have is to add a photo booth after the movie ends, with a student dressed as the main character. This would be great for students to take pictures with their friends and the mascot. At the end of the event, we should put all council and faculty members on stage, letting the students know that they are doing the best to make everyone smile and have a great time at this school. I believe this event would create bonds among students, making it a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone." Personal Information (in character) Name: "My name is.. Shark Meyer.. I know what you're thinking: yes, like the sea animal shark." He didin't seem frustrated by his own name but all the shark jokes are not funny to him anymore. Gender: The boy cleared his throat before answering. "I am a male, thank you for asking." Age: He puts his hand on the table, tapping out what seemed to be a musical note. "Oh, my age? I'm 18. I was born on January 31st." Phone number: "My phone number is.." He would search for the phone in his jacket, before continuing his sentance. "030-450-0424" How would you describe your personality?: "My personality. .?" He would sigh for a second."Well. . I really love to make new friends and help people out!" He would eye the person that was interogating him. "I just hope I won't have any problems with anyone since I am not the type to cause trouble." Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture): The male stood tall at an impressive height of 6'5". His appearance was quite unusual and a little striking, making him hard to ignore. He gave off the vibe of someone who might cause trouble instead of offering help. His hair was a deep shade of blue, featuring a noticeable grey streak that contributed to his unique style. He often dressed in summery clothes, like colorful t-shirts paired with jeans, which added to his relaxed look. Despite his tough appearance, there was something interesting about him that caught the attention of those around him. Maybe it was the way he held himself or the sparkle in his eye that suggested there was more to him than met the eye. People often found themselves curious about his background, making him stand out in the crowd. What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?: He would think for a second, rolling his eyes first to the left, then to the right before focusing his vision to the person opposite of him. He'd start speaking with a calm expression on his face. "I am a guy that is disciplined and motivated enough to make this school a better place. I have been a trouble maker for a little bit, but I hated it. I was influenced by my siblings and got myself into some pretty deep trouble. Hopefully, by joining the council, I can get on the right path and help those who are scared and confused." Satisfied with his answear, he would just tilt his head to the right before giving the person a warm smile. Why do you want this position?: "I want this position so I can help any student that i come across. I hope to make an impact on this school, and hope to be seen as a role model, and promote kindness. I am not a fan of giving people detention, but if they are not following the school rules, I have no other option than to give detention to them." His facial expression was somewhat serious about this matter, it seemed like he was really into being a councillor. What interests you the most about student council?: He would place his hand on the table before rubbing it for a little bit. "I am very interested to make a positive impact on the school community. I am excited to work with my colleagues and make this school a fun and enjoyable environment for every student, and I hope to have fun if I join the council. But of course I know fun is not the only thing I seek. I will be fair to everyone, doing my best to guide every student to the spotlight, making them a better person. That is what interests me the most about the student council. Helping students to become better." What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?: "Well, as a councillor, i would focus on a few key features to make the Karakura school a safer and more entertaining than it is now." He would sigh for a moment, continuing right after. "First, I would work on creating new activities and clubs where everyone can join, have fun, and make friends. I believe by doing this, we can grow stronger relationships among the students and make the school a more welcoming place." He would fill his lungs with air, gathering the confidence that remained in his body. "Second, i would try and promote kindness and respect amongst other students. We can organize events that celebrate our differences and encourage everyone to treat each other well." |
