SCENARIOS
While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
At first, I will calmly tell them to stop, if they continue, I may pull them aside to chat a little, see if there's any issues or problems going on, you never know what's truely going on without asking and I will help in anyway I can.
A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
I will be firm, hold my ground, and tell them to remove them mask. Weather they do or don't, I will also bring up a detention they have on their record. Once they run, I will give chase until I can find a higher up to deal with the situation responsibly and safely.
A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns? When they approach me about it, I will talk with the student about it, if the conversation gets too graphic and dark, I will warn the teacher and call up higher authorities of the school.
A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression? I will allow it, people should have all rights to express themselves and the opinions they share. Only things I would need to know is what the protest is about and why they are doing so. I also would only get involved if this protest includes violence, discrimination, harassment, or distractions to everyone on campus.
A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
I would apologize whole heartedly, I never intend to do anything wrong and cause any issues. Everyone makes mistakes and you also learn from them. I wouldn't take anything the wrong way that'll make me mad, instead, I take it as feedback, it'll let me know what I need to improve upon.
Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
MIDNIGHT MAKERS: glow in the dark art festival.
Concept: Evening event where people can create and display art that glows in the dark. Doesn't matter what type of art. Murals, Body art, sculptures, you name it, it's there. and even fun competitions where teams try to make the best glow in the dark art in a set amount of time. Maybe even a fun Glow parade or disco like party too!
Personal Information
(in character)
Name: Alexa "Lexi"Beaumont
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Phone number: 030-570-3521
How would you describe your personality?: Very open, still a little introverted, but with practice, I'll be fine, talkable to anyone, very calm and kind
Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):
What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?: I'd say my "skill" kind of, is my patience, I don't like to get mean with people unless I have to, I try to understand issues and help wherever I possibly can
Why do you want this position?: I want to help the school and let students have someone they can rely on for anything they can possibly need right now.
What interests you the most about student council?: The socializing and how important they can be. I suck at meeting new people sometimes and this will be a great way to learn to socialize and talk to a bunch of people! Council is also really important to help whoever they can.
What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?: I'd work on helping students out. telling them where to go, or who to see when they need help, mental health support, conflicts, or just somebody to talk with. All students should feel safe within Karakura. I'll check in with them, ask them what's up, you get the gist. I won't hesitate to bring any issues up to my other councilors. |
