♡ TRIVIA QUESTIONS ♡
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
What is the student council and what do they do?:
The Student Council are the student-body representatives of Karakura High. Not only do they represent all of the students of the school, but they also act as a guiding light for all of the students, being a role-model for them all to follow whilst on school grounds. When acts of rule-breaking arise, they report directly to the staff of the school, reporting any incidents appropriately and diligently, treating all of the students fairly and equally and providing guidance when it is appropriate to do so. As they perform their duties, they must also participate in class-work with a much higher standard, emphasizing being a role-model for the other students to follow especially during class-time.
Additionally, the Student Council frequently must come together and plan creative and unique events for all of the student body to enjoy, usually in collaboration with the staff, to really make it shine and make an interesting and fun day for everyone, examples of such being school dances or fairs, camping trips, etc. These events are supported to promote unity among the students, allowing their unique arts to flourish in a controlled and safe environment that is much different from the usual day-to-day life at Karakura High.
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):
I will begin with my histories of Student Council in real life - Being elected as Student Council President in 2021 in my final year in high school. I had a lot of opportunities in there, providing for the students in my real-life school with events and fundraisers such as School Festivals & Sports Carnivals. I think it motivated me, after graduation, to continue to seek ways to find that spark again which I loved so dearly which is one of the major reasons why I'm applying here today after the announcement came up on the Discord. I've already sunk many hours in this and find it, as essentially a newer player, to roleplay with students of the school in creative ways.
Now - For my character, Kiyomi Arakawa. Kiyomi is a high-achiever and once you get to know them, is extremely bubbly and sociable. She is frequently apologetic for how quickly she can become excited and talkative, often talking too much. She loves to create new ideas and is exceptionally well-versed in the arts such as Drama, Dance & Writing. The qualities described would fit very neatly in the Student Council, actively seeking out students and becoming friends with them or at least getting to know them and being polite and kind in class, doing the assigned work to the best of her abilities. She wants to seek out opportunities to promoting unity and collaboration among the students, which is why the Student Council is a natural step in that direction for her.
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):
Yes, and that is what I love about the Student Council so much. I love being able to flow my creative ideas into everything I do, especially alongside others which is why this environment would be perfect for me. I understand and will be enthusiastic about coming up and assisting with events being run in the school, and roleplaying my character at the same time in a new but similar light would be amazing.
Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?SCENARIOS
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Kiyomi Arakawa nods her head slowly, listening to the question before chuckling, seemingly in thought for just a moment, "Yep! I don't think talking over people is very nice, especially when others around them would be trying to listen to the assembly so I would quietly walk up to them and tell them-" She'd pause, "Whispering.. Of course, because I wouldn't want to cause any further disturbance to anyone-" She continues sweetly, nodding to herself, "And ask them to please be quiet and be considerate of the others around them and the staff.. But it depends on the type of disturbance, as you'd expect like if it's just friends talking then I may need to split them up or try to, if they continue.. But if it's a fight then I'd try to break it up quietly but quietly try to report it to a teacher, if I have to.." She looks down briefly, tapping her foot nervously, "But I hope nobody would be fighting.. Or make me have to get a teacher if they continue to be disruptive.. But I would, if they continue being disruptive.."
A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?
Kiyomi Arakawa awkwardly taps her finger on her leg for a moment, seemingly deep in thought once again before speaking up, "Well.. I might be able to catch up to them, but I think there would be a better way of handling that situation. I'd report it to a teacher, and give a description of what they look like and where they were last seen so they can handle it. If I'm given one of those radios, I'd then keep an eye out and if I see them again, will attempt to ask them once again to stop this behaviour.. But- Well, if they run again, I'd keep my distance and inform the faculty of their whereabouts if I were to see them again.. It's clear that they wouldn't listen to reason at that point, unfortunately. A detention would be the best course of action, I'd think.."
A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?
Kiyomi Arakawa nods along to the question slowly, exhaling softly for a moment before answering, "The teachers would need to be immediately informed.. It's a situation which I think would go beyond what I've been asked to do.. But I would ask if there's anything that I can do to help deal with the situation." She smiles a little, "I think sometimes students need someone to just talk to.. And if they don't, then they let out their frustrations in other more destructive ways.. If the teacher gives me permission to, I'd talk to them and try to understand their frustrations and help them in the best way I can.. But if it's violent, then a teacher will definitely need to get involved, especially if I'm concerned about anyone else's safety."
A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?
Kiyomi Arakawa takes a deep breath, thinking of potential reasons why students would want to protest as she begins expressively, "I'd ask them on why they would be protesting.. It seems a little strange that students would have to do that.." She shakes her head at the very thought, "Um.. But I'd ask them and if they give a good and appropriate reason, as long as it isn't violent or disruptive, I'd keep an eye on it but if it becomes disruptive, or destructive, or violent in anyway then I'd immediately report it to a teacher and assist in anyway I can to break it up.."
A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?
Kiyomi Arakawa nodded along to the question respectfully before speaking, with a little smile on her face, "Oh! You don't need to worry about me having a really bad reaction to anything like that. I take criticism well, and would try my best to stay within the lines of my responsibilities as a member of the Student Council.. And if I find myself overstepping and needing to be corrected then I'd follow that.. If I disagree, then I'd talk to them about it but I wouldn't argue, just try to understand, you know?" She chuckles softly, "If I still disagree.. Then I'd seek guidance from my friends in the Student Council! We are a team, after all!"
Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):
⋆。°✩ Starry Nights Gala ✩°。⋆
"To let down your hair for one night.. And to enjoy the company of your fellow students!"
Time & Location: The Starry Nights Gala would be hosted in Karakura High's Auditorium on a Friday Night. The Student Council would work together to plan decorations to the auditorium with an elegant vibe, utilizing carpets and glittering lights to emphasize a night-time feel with tables all around to host a single dinner for all of the students to enjoy.
The Student Council would organize with the faculty on a date for this event in which the auditorium will be closed throughout the day and be opened at approximately 4:30PM. At the door, the Council would check all of the students and ensure that they are wearing formal or decorative attire and will be seated randomly which is essential so people aren't permitted to flock immediately to their friend groups immediately and actually have the opportunity to meet new potential friends. At 5:00PM, the events would begin with a potential collaboration with many of the school clubs for dance, drama, and a variety of other performances or creative advertisements on the stage for their clubs as a whole. At approximately 7:00PM, dinner would be served at the tables in which the students have been seated for a finish at around 9:00PM.
Purpose: For a new student at Karakura High, it can be daunting to make new friends and for long-term students as well, it can be scary to deviate from your friend group to meet new people which is why the Starry Nights Gala would be an excellent opportunity to be seated with random students and to make new friends as a result. The showcases and advertisements are made below, differing from the theme slightly, to make them seem welcoming to new or long-term students of the school as is the purpose of this event - To meet new friends and to explore new opportunities around the school.
A build request would be made, at minimum, a week prior for the decorations.
Time Table - Example
4:30PM - The doors are opened and students are filed in and checked by members of the Student Council. All students must be wearing a mask and be in semi-formal attire.
5:00PM - Performing Arts Club - The Performing Arts club begins with their initial performance, as directed by their Club Lead.
5:15PM - Journalism Club - The Journalism Club begins with their advertisement, as directed by their Club Lead.
5:30PM - The Gardening Club - The Gardening Club begins with their advertisement, as directed by their Club Lead.
5:45PM - The Occult Club - The Occult Club begins with their advertisement, as directed by their Club Lead.
6:00PM - The Astrology Club - The Astrology Club begins with their advertisement, as directed by their Club Lead.
6:15PM - The Fashion Club - The Fashion Club begins with their fashion showcase, as directed by their Club Lead.
6:30PM - The Sports Club - The Sports Club begins with their advertisement, as directed by their Club Lead.
6:45PM - The Music Club - The Music Club begins with their advertisement, as directed by their Club Lead.
7:00PM - The Performing Arts Club - The Performing Arts Club will perform a song after a speech by the Student Council, as dinner begins to be served by the Cooking Club.
7:30PM - Dinner Service will be finished, and for the remainder of the night, the Music Club will be performing music and singing as students are permitted to dance at the front with their dates or partners.
8:30PM - The event is coming to a close with a final speech, thanking everyone for their attendance.
9:00PM - The auditorium should be cleared and the doors closed.
The Book Club would have be promoted nearby the entrance, with a showcase.
The Media and Photography Club will be recording and taking photos throughout the night.
✴︎ Feylight Fair ✴︎
"We have students from across the globe, and a rich culture for them to explore and enjoy!"
Time & Location: Kaigan Beach. The event would be hosted on a Friday Night. The Student Council would confer with the K.P.D, and Government Officials alongside the School Leadership Team to attempt to have the beach temporarily closed off during the event as it'll be exclusive for the students. A build request with a generalized decoration plan would be made by the Student Council at least a week prior with a theme of a fairy-light night with stalls, decorative greenery, etc.
The dress code would not be mandatory, however, an emphasis will be made on supporting dress-up with fairy-like clothes, or other mythical creatures of Japanese culture. The event would, in an optimal case, be a collaboration effort between the Bobcats and the Spartans.
Purpose: The purpose of the Feylight Fair is to promote a collaboration between the Spartans and the Bobcats and together to explore the rich culture present in Japan. It'd be an excellent opportunity to make friends and have performances from not only the clubs, but from other inspired students on the night with their unique outfits and designs that they want to show off to others.
At the end of the school day, students will have the opportunity to go home to get dressed and then proceed to Kaigan Beach at approximately 5:30PM. Once they've arrived, the Student Council would be ensuring, with the help of volunteer faculty, that only students are permitted inside of the beach at the time. Throughout the night, there will be performances, dances and of course, music to dance to at both slow-paced and a little bit more upbeat as well.

How would you describe your personality?:
Kiyomi Arakawa blinked rapidly for a moment, taking a deep breath before beginning, expressing heavily with her hands, "Umm.. I like to think of myself as a friendly person, someone that anyone can talk to when they're having a hard time.. You know? At least I try to.. Some people have told me that I can be difficult sometimes, or hard to talk to as I talk waaay too much.. But I don't mean to! I can be quiet when I have to, though...." She doesn't seem very confident in that, "In- Uh.. Class, at least." She chuckles lightly, before looking off into the distance for a moment, "Umm.. I like to be helpful, like giving directions or just being there for someone if they're trying to find people to do group activities with.. Just being there can be a lot for someone." She pauses for a moment again, allowing silence to linger between for just a moment before she continues for a second, "Umm.. It's hard to talk about myself in this way, but my friends would say I'm.. friendly, bubbly.. annoying, and easy-going! Even if I get a little distracted sometimes.."
Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):
Kiyomi Arakawa has long black hair, glittering hazel eyes, and stands at roughly 5'3". She walks in her boots with a bit of a skip in her pace, always like she is rushing to get somewhere, and while her eye contact may be faltering at times, she always seems to be paying attention, even when you expect her not to.
An image has been attached to this part of the document.

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:
Kiyomi Arakawa's eyes light up a little, as her head tilts to the side in thought, "Oh, um.. I think I have a different mindset to a lot of the older students, I think a lot of them might see this as an opportunity to help punish the rulebreakers.. And I know I'll probably have to help in that too, at some point, but I think if dialogue is possible.. Then it should be taken, we are all young after all.. And yeah, sometimes stubborn but I can be a friend to everyone, or try to be.." She pauses for a moment, smiling a little at the very thought, "A shoulder to cry on.. Or someone to talk to when they're too nervous to go to the adults.. I think such kindness is rare around here nowadays but it can go so far, and I want to help in that as much as I can.." She adds on, continuing with much enthusiasm in every word, "And I think I can be a good role-model too, as I like to pay attention to classes and the teachers, and sit with those by themselves to help them get involved too!"
Why do you want this position?:
Kiyomi Arakawa's smile returns in a radiance, with a swift nod, she begins speaking with a bit of a squeak of enthusiasm, "So! I love the idea of being able to work with the other members of the Council in making cool, exciting events for everyone. I absolutely love that... And being able to help you all with making sure the school is a fun and safe place for everyone too, where we can all get along and make sure everyone is involved.. As I've said a million times before and will continue to say, I think it can be rather scary coming to this school and not having a friend, so that would be my goal, I guess.. To make sure everyone has a friend!" She smiles brightly, holding that as she looks about, "I can be a good role-model for everyone to follow too.. I think we jump to the worst conclusions about people, but we are all supposed to work together to making this school a good environment.. Not just the Student Council, but all of the students too!"
What interests you the most about student council?:
Kiyomi Arakawa takes a deep breath, before exhaling with a chuckle, "I think it's the opportunities? I can do so much among all of you, help other students and help you all with the event planning like with carnivals, fairs, carnival-fairs.. All of it!" She giggles softly, "Don't get me wrong, I can be firm when I need to be.. Especially when it comes to the safety of others, but I think taking it a different perspective like I've talked about would be beneficial among all of you.." She pauses, taking a moment before counting off with her fingers, "So.. It would have to be the creativity that I could pour into the event planning, to be a guiding light for the other students, and to be a friend that all of the new students too can follow and I can help them understand their way around this school.. There's so much!" She just throws her hand down, smiling, seemingly giving up with that, "It does seem very interesting!"
What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:
Kiyomi Arakawa nods her head once again, beginning with her usual enthusiasm, "I think my ideas would be a good step in that direction already! With making sure everyone is a friend and if someone is becoming frustrated then to be a hand for them because we know sometimes that it can be scary to go to an adult about all of this.. And just simply listening and talking about whatever is bothering them." She sighs and shakes her head, "I know sometimes it can be inevitable though that violence will happen.. And for that, I'd report it immediately to the faculty and help where I can, to bring about the best.. well, resolution to it."
